First of all, apologies if I got your hopes up that this was an actual update.
I recently started to pick up writing again after years of not getting anything out of my pen/keyboard. This happened when I started binging a new show about another pair of detectives that are such wonderful and complicated characters that I needed a way to deal with all the feelings and thoughts about them.
You migth be wondering why I'm telling you all this. Well, my obsession with this series has brought me back to my love for another detective duo and led me straight back to this story.
Because I hadn't read this story for years, I was able to sort of bèta read my own fic. I corrected quite a few spelling/grammatical errors as well as changed the names of Hardy's ex-wife and daughter to the canon ones. Furthermore I edited a few paragraphs so they would flow better.
Now some of you might be thinking something along the lines of yes, great, the story has been edited, but nothing really changed. There is still no update! And you're right, nothing has changed yet.
When I'm looking Broadchurch fanfiction it's always sad to realize that there is so little and since the end of the last season, less and less works are being added. Sometimes I wonder if the fandom is already dead. That's why I'm posting this first instead of updating after all those years.
This is my question: Are there still people out there who want to read this story?
I know that I have tried to pick up this story more than 3 times already in 5 years, which is bad... And I can't promise it will go any better this time, but if there are still people out here who are reading this and would want me to give this another try, please tell me.
