The Master of Tides
Chapter 13
A/N: As promise, I will reveal who's Audrey's Dad is. He is a musician in our world, and he has done a few collabs with her. I will give you a clue: Some Kind of Beautiful. That is you one and only clue. My plan is that he is barely in this story. The reason why he's in here is because I plan on something happening to Lindsey. My mind is weird and completely coming from left field on this. Also, N is more important to this story than Audrey's Dad. I don't own Doctor Who or Moby Dick. Also, The Victor Marching Blue Devils went to the Carrier Dome on October 26, 2014 to compete in the New York State Field Band Conference National Class championships and got third place out of 8 bands, with a score of 95.55 and we got first place in field visual, which is the colorguard. FRIEKING WEST GENESSEE ALMOST ALWAYS WINS AT DOME BECAUSE ONE JUDGE IS A WEST GENESSEE ALUMI! RANTTING ON ABOUT WHY ARLINGTON SHOULD OF WON! The Victor Marching Blue Devils won the National Class Championship in 2010. More on that later.
I walked up the Spontaneous Me hoping to find Lindsey. What I didn't expect was Audrey barreling into me, knocking me over and rolling off the gangplank, taking the little girl with me. "AUDREEEEEYY!" I said, rolling down the gangplank. When we finally got down to the dock onto my back, I said, "Really?! You're lucky that I only wore my hidden blades today. The angle of your trajectory... the force of impact...my location... all allowed you to knock me over."
Audrey disentangled herself from me and said, "What? Hannah, I didn't see you coming up. And I don't understand what you said."
I looked at her and said, "Me neither. LINDSEY!" I shouted, alerting her to my presence, "Can you please help me get this little adorable monster off me!"
"Audrey!" I heard Lindsey and a male voice say. Running footsteps I heard coming closer, then someone blocked out the sun in front of me, effectively blinding me. Then I felt Audrey being lifted off me. I found it easier to breathe once she was off me. Lindsey's voice eased me out of my repertoire, "Why did you knock Hannah down, Audrey? You know that she makes sure that you are safe."
"Thank you for getting her off of me, Lindsey. She rammed me just as I was walking up the gangplank. Perfect trajectory by the way...You are not understanding me, are you?" I ranted on.
"Not a clue on what you are saying. How do you feel, as you fell down onto your back and hopefully not on your scars." Lindsey asked me. She then whispered, "Later, mister. Not right now."
I groaned. "No, I did not land on my scars, thank you very much, but it still hurts. I'll be fine in a few. Just...don't mention this to my brothers and sister. They're here, you know. I just wanted to catch up with you because my parents are having a meaningless argument, again." I took a deep breath, then said, "A little help here?" Sticking out my right hand for someone to help me up. A strong hand took it and pulled me up, faster than I expected to. I was pulled to the standing position, then wobbling a little to catch my balance. I immediately let go of the hand which helped me up, not wanting to accidently burn him. I do that sometimes. "Uh, thank you? Was not expecting that..." I muttered.
A laugh came from the one who helped me up. "No problem. My daughter is very excitable." A man said.
"Oh, do I know that." I said, being ignorant of who was speaking to me.
"You're missing something, Hannah." Lindsey said, rolling her eyes at me being dense. She then mumbled, "Seriously, you are thick and not noticing who's talking to you, you flamer." She was right, I was missing something standing in front of me, well, WHO was in front of me.
"I know, I'm missing something. Something important, I'll get to it." I said. I then whispered, "Rory..." as I totally missed the man standing right beside Lindsey. "AH! I am thick! Thick thick thicky thickhead from thickania!" Turning towards Lindsey and the man next to her. "Who are you?" I said, pointing to him, "I'm Hannah Song, daughter of River Song and The 11th Doctor, and the worst person you'll ever meet, if you never met someone worse than me. Though my sister or my mother is a close second, and I am rambling, am I?"
"Yes you are, Hannah. And really, 'the worst person you'll ever meet'? Are you trying to scare him?" Lindsey said, shaking her head ever so slightly at my comment, "And why are you insulting yourself?"
"I'm thick. I get that from my dad, and you didn't answer my question, sir." I said nonflippantly.
"Ooo, I like her, Lindsey. Where did you meet her?" He said.
"Cardiff." Me and Lindsey said at the same time.
"Well, in any case, My name is Tyler. Tyler Ward. Captain of the Ward Express. Audrey is my daughter." Tyler Ward introduced himself. When I heard his name, I was sure that I heard that name before, but I shook the feeling off.
"Nice to meet you, and my parents are here and there will be a bonfire on the beach tonight, if mom and dad can AGREE on a spot." I said, "I think that they're paranoid right now, so best to stay out of their way until they stop. Hopefully..."
Lindsey picked up my tone, and said, "You're not so sure that they'll stop soon, huh?"
I shook my head no. "No, I am not." Audrey squirmed out of Lindsey's hold and went up to me.
"Well are you going to stop them?" She asked sincerely. I shrugged.
"When they are like this, I don't want to get involved. I basically run away from them for a few hours, give or take. If I don't get in trouble, well at least half the time." I explained to Audrey, "I will know ahead of time or too late when I have to go back to them." Then a screaming match caught all of our attention in the distance. "And looks like I'm needed. Again." I said, rolling my eyes, "And I feel that I need some help. It sounds bad." I faced Lindsey and Tyler, and said, "Care to come and see what they're arguing about now?"
"Might as well." Lindsey said, tired of all the interruptions that was happening today, "First sick, then insulting brothers, then strange fight, now this. Can this day get any worse?"
"I can think of worst things that could happen." I said with a hint of sarcasm in my voice.
Lindsey stared at me, clearly not amused at my comment. "Don't you start with it. You will most likely get my daughter nightmares." She said.
"Wouldn't think about it." I responded cheekily, and ran off. She yelled after me, for leaving them behind. I send back with this: "Well hurry up! I don't want my mother killing my father again!" Then they followed me.
When we got to my parents, it clearly gotten worse. It had gotten to the point when Mom was about to pull out her gun and Dad was trying to diffuse the situation unsuccessfully. Even Clara, who could usually calm both of them before this point, was doing nothing that could pacify the situation. I looked at the site of this, and I mumbled to Lindsey, "Seriously? Over a bonfire site. Now that is just...embarrassing to both of them. I am so going to tell my Grandmum and Granddad about this. They will never let them forget it."
Lindsey looked at me confused. "Why?" She asked.
I looked at her, smirking, and said, "Amy's brash, blunt, and loud. Rory is patient, but also fierce and protective, like a roman centurion. They are very protective of their daughter, and love embarrassing Dad, and sometimes, Mom. If it's little, then they will make fun of them for doing it. Now, how to stop them before Mom kills Dad...again." Tyler was confused at the statement, so I explained the quick and simple way. "Mom was forced to kill my Father, but instead of killing him, she married him and helped him fake his death. And I am NOT telling you why and who forced her. It's not a pleasant subject, at all."
Lindsey reassured Tyler, "Yeah, you really don't want to know." Tyler nodded in understanding.
I cracked my knuckles, then got between my parents. "Seriously, over a spot? Mother, put your gun away, Dad, shut up." I said in a commanding tone. They obediently did as they were told. I took a breathe, then said, "Now, the reason why I chose this spot because I felt that if someone saw me, then they would ignore me, because then I'm hiding in plain sight. I am seriously not in the mood."
Dad started protesting, but I cut him off. "Ah, no. I said shut up, Dad." He gave up.
I had Mom give me her reason, then I said, "Agree on a spot soon, or I will choose." They both groaned, and I said, "I will choose if you two don't make up your mind. And it will be safe, I promise."
"Oh you are getting better at being commanding. Lessons paying off?" Mother said with a sneaky tone in her voice, putting away her gun.
I rolled my eyes. "Yes mother, and the town is home to some people I can trust. Don't be distrustful, they helped me and Lindsey out last night. Don't ask." I said. She got my meaning and got to work finding a spot. I turned to Lindsey and said, "And that is how I stop my parents from killing each other. Clara, you can go back to the ship, Nick, shut up, your not helping at all. You still have to apologize to Lindsey and her daughter. I'm still holding you to that." He got wided-eyed and ran back to our parent's ship.
Lindsey looked at him running away and said to me, "You're still holding your brother to your earlier statement?!" I nodded.
"Hey!" Dad yelled behind me. I turned around and faced my dad. "How about here?" He said, pointing to a certain spot that was secluded.
"Mom! Do you approve dad's choice or not?" I said to mom. She walked over to the site of dad's choice.
Mom scanned the area and said, "Well I don't know sweetie, it's awfully close to the cliffs. It's fine as long as there is no falling rocks." Dad made a face in annoyance, as mom joked at him.
I rolled my eyes. "That means she likes it." I said to Lindsey. I then yelled back to Mom, "When is the bonfire then?"
"When the sun sets. You can bring your friends as well, but no sheriff's. God knows what kind of trouble you and your siblings get into between now and later." She said back, knowing how much we unintentionally get in trouble whenever we're in port.
I sighed, "Ok I'll try not to become notorious between now and sunset. Gods Mother, its not my fault that I get in trouble. It just happens to me." Remembering most of the times when I am being chased around and I didn't do anything wrong.
"Hannah..." Mom growled. I jumped up a bit, startled at her reaction to my statement. Lindsey, Tyler, and Audrey laughed at my reaction, and I glared at them.
"Wait 'til she tells embarrassing stories about me, then you can laugh at my antics from when I was younger. You, Lindsey, can tell everyone what happened at Hazenburg then. Ok?" I said, pissed off. She nodded in agreement, and I stomped off in annoyance. Lindsey, Tyler and Audrey followed.
A/N: God I finally finished this chapter. I lost steam, and let the story rest. Sorry. I finally have a follower, so thank you roseangel21 for favoriting and following my story. I needed that, so thank you. Please review!
