It's so nice to get reviews!

Adorablehedgi12: I added a little ShadAmy moment, it's brief but I still put it in. I'm so happy you're enjoying the story, despite it being so... I can think of the word, can you?

WarriorAngelGirl: I sure hope Starr'll be free from him. What a terrible state to be in, and he's so evil and cruel. Taking advantage of her like that, it makes me want to punch him in the face!

So let's find Starr and stop Mephiles once and for all!

Amy paced around the living room of Starr's home. Sonic and Knuckles were eating some leftover food from the kitchen.

"How can you eat at a time like this?" Amy shouted at them.

"What?" Sonic asked stuffing a forkful of food in his mouth. "We're hungry."

Amy huffed angrily and kept pacing, Silver followed he every step to try and calm her down.

"It's going to be okay," he told her. "They're strong, they'll make it."

Amy hugged Silver, she sobbed in his chest, his fur was getting stained with her tears but he didn't mind.

"Heaven knows what he's doing to them," Amy sobbed. "Starr must be so terrified. She's the only one who knows how powerful he is."

Suddenly the centre of the room started glowing bright red, everyone in the room had to close their eyes. When it diminished, a loud thud came after. Amy gasped loud and ran over to the thing that thud.

"Shadow!" She exclaimed.

The black and red hedgehog laid on his stomach, trying to conserve his strength. He fluttered his eyes open and used his arms to lean himself up.

"You okay buddy?" Sonic asked him.

He place his hand on Shadow's shoulder. Shadow gasped for a second but then looked at Sonic's hand, for some reason it didn't hurt. Shadow looked over his arms and body, he noticed he didn't have any burns on him. He got up and ran to the closest mirror, which was in the room as well. He stared in it, no blemishes of any kind. He started breathing heavy, then his face got angry. Filled with anger, he slammed his fist in the wall, denting it. He ran outside in the backyard, but Amy decided to follow him. Amy found Shadow on his knees rocking back and forth, mourning for Starr.

"Shadow?" Amy came over to him. "Shadow, what happened?"

"He... He tricked her," Shadow got out. "He used me to get to her! That bastard! That beast!"

He grabbed Amy and hugged her tight. He gasped loudly in her neck, Amy petted his head comforting him as best she could.

"But I don't get it," he said. "Before I left, Starr told me some prophecy thing. I don't get it."

"Well, what did she say exactly?"

"'One would rise against him, opposite but similar to his power. This one's flesh and blood would avenge them and win'," Shadow said pulling himself together. "And I still don't know what it means, I've been too upset to figure it out."

Amy thought about want Shadow said, thinking about what the prophecy meant.

"Shadow. What if Mephiles is trying to kill you because he's afraid you're going to kill him?" Amy asked him. "What if you're the one to avenge the one to rise against him?"

"You think Starr's the one to rise against him? And that I'm the one to kill him and avenge her?"

"It makes sense: she was taken all those years ago, you're her flesh and blood and you can avenge her now. We have to tell the others."

Amy helped Shadow to his feet, he grabbed her gently and hugged her.

"Thank you Amy," he said to her. "For being so understanding."

"Of course, I am because I love you."

"And I love you too," he kissed her lips, his spirits lifted.

They headed inside to tell the others about what they brainstormed outside. Right before they were about to tell, a purple orb appeared where Shadow had reappeared. It grew to the size of a large beach ball, it floated in front of the group, then a figure appeared in the orb; it was acting as a transmitter. The figure was dark and evil and holding a precious friend. Her hands were tied above her head and she appeared to be laying on her back.

"Starr!" Shadow exclaimed seeing his sister, she was beaten around her face. "Let her go, Mephiles!"

"Hehe," the evil being laughed. "And give up that easily? Oh no, our fun's just getting started."

He started petting Starr's quills, he smelled her thick hair. She winced in pain, just the thought of him with her made her feel so dirty.

"Please," Starr begged, not only to her capturer but to her friends too.

"Anything you'd like to say, pet?" Mephiles asked her.

"I... I wanna live," she whimpered, tears fell down her face. "H-help m-me..."

"If you want to see your precious sister and friend again, come and get her," Mephiles told the group. "Just use Shadow's Chaos Emerald: the brighter it gets, the closer you are to us. See you soon."

The orb disappeared just like that, leaving the group stunned.

"Now what?" Knuckles asked out loud.

"What do you mean 'now what'?" Sonic asked him shocked. "We're gonna get her!"

"But he's way too powerful," Tails commented. "Even with all six of us fighting him, we can't overpower him."

"Then we'll have to fight another way," Amy declared. "I'm not gonna stand here while he tortures Starr. She could be my future sister-in-law and she's a great girlfriend. Shadow?"

Shadow had gotten up and unveiled his Chaos Emerald. The red gem glowed bright, he followed its positive energy to the door.

"Anyone else coming?" He asked them. They all smiled and went with him.

Hours seemed to go by, they followed the Emerald as it got brighter and brighter.

"I'm starting to think Mephiles said this so he'd have more time with Starr," Silver declared. "It was a trick."

Then, about two miles away, they saw a large metal building. Shadow felt the negative energy emerging from the building, he knew it was the place.

"That's it!" Shadow said pointing at the building. "Let's go!"

The group started running towards the building, after several paces they saw something coming their way. The thing seemed to limp slowly, the team stopped in case it was Mephiles. As the thing got closer and closer, Shadow recognized the figure: it was Starr! Shadow immediately glided his way towards her, he stopped a few feet in front of her and froze at her sight.

She was beaten and bruised, her hair messy, her face tear-stained. She held onto her staff and had her inhibitor rings on, but she seemed weak. She used her staff to lean on for support, she shook in her boots like she had seen death in the face. But what caught Shadow the most was the blood staining every part of her: her face, her arms, her body. No part of her wasn't covered with blood.

"Starr, what happened?" Shadow asked her. The others ran up and saw how she was. Shadow asked her again.

"Starr, what happened?"

What exactly did happen? Why is she so bloody and how did she escape? Find out next chapter, but I will say it will be a M-rated chapter, so reader's discretion is advised.
