Christmas Holidays had begun and Moose was still deciding on whether he should visit Chase or not. After all, Chase did try to rid Moose of his life so he could have Andie instead of him. Moose shook the thought from his head. Christmas was time to be grateful, not have horrible thoughts. I'm alive and I am grateful for that, he thought to himself. Moose had decided he was going to visit Chase in the hospital and no one could stop him.
When he got to the hospital, a receptionist with blonde hair and green eyes greeted him with a warm smile. "Happy holidays."
"Thanks." Moose said, with a weak smile. "Uhm.. Can you tell me what room Chase Collins is in?"
"Well, he has visitor right now, but you can wait outside his room across the hall where there's a couch if you'd like? Oh, and he's in room 127, first floor." The receptionist smiled politely at him.
"Thank you." Moose walked down the hall and sat down on the couch, grabbing a magazine from the end table.
"You tried to put an innocent boy's life in danger! This is going to be all over the news, Chase! What do you expect me to tell the board?! You tried to kill someone because they had something you wanted!" Someone yelled from Chase's room.
"It wasn't like that Blake! He purposely took Andie from me!" Chase responded. There was a pause for a moment and a calmer voice. "I don't know what came over me.. I'm sorry, Blake."
"I'm glad the police put you on probation. You are not to leave the school and when you do, it's only to come straight home and when you're home, you can't go anywhere but to school. Is that clear?"
"Yes." Mumbled Chase, ashamed of everything he had done recently.
"Good, now I'm leaving. I'll visit you later." Blake said, trying his best not too sound too upset.
Moose sat there, a bit shocked for a moment, and then opened up the magazine to a random page trying not to look suspicious.
Blake came out of the office and noticed Moose sitting there, reading a magazine upside down. Blake cleared his throat and Moose jumped a little. "What are you doing here?" inquired Blake.
Moose put down the magazine, not realizing it was upside down and looked at Director Collins. "I'm here to see Chase… t-to see if he's alright and stuff." Moose stammered slightly.
"The boy tried to kill you and you want to know if he's okay. You really are a good hearted kid, Goose." Blake said, smiling lightly.
"It's Moose, and thanks."
Moose walked into the hospital room and Chase was lying on the bed with one arm across his eyes. "Blake, if you've come here to scold me some more, just get out, I know what I did was wrong." Chase sighed, and removed his arm from across his face and noticed it was Moose standing there. His breath caught in his throat and his heart started to pace. "M-M-oose… what are you doing here?" Chase responded quietly.
Moose paled. "I-I… Just wanted to check t-to see if you were okay.."
"Well thanks, but I'd really prefer it if you weren't here." Chase said, his face full of raw emotion.
"As long as you're okay.." Moose murmured, while walking towards the door to leave Chase alone.
With that, Moose was heading towards the door, when Chase stopped him.
"Why do you even care?" Chase inquired.
"Because even though you've tried to kill me and sabotage my relationship with Andie, we were friends at one point. We won the Streets together, because we got past our problems and worked as a team. You may hate me, but you'll always be one of my friends in my eyes." Moose explained.
Chase nodded, absorbing all in the information that Moose had just told him. "Well... just don't hurt her." He mumbled quietly.
"I won't." Moose said with a small smile. He then opened the door and left Chase alone in his hospital bed.
