3RD PoV

She's pacing from left to right, worried for them. It's been a few minutes since she started being guarded by one of the wolves. That being the signal letting her know it has begun. The silver wolf came just a few minutes ago. She knows what Jacob said about the wolves speed is true. A few minutes is more than enough time for something to go wrong, someone to get hurt.

¡Flashback!

They could all hear her whispered worries and questions she asked Jacob. She's seen their claws and teeth. What she hasn't witnessed is their speed. That's were her questions were aimed at. Jacob has told her they are faster but as much as she knows about the world she's still the see it to believe it type.

And That, is where Bella focuses her growing panic, her racing heart and sweaty palms. Her inability to stay still and that feeling in the pit of her stomach. It will all be focused to her worry of their speed. When James showed her how fast they could truly be she was amazed and terrified. This was a genuine worry for her but it wasn't what was causing her panic and that feeling in her stomach.

It came time to go. The wolves except for Jacob headed into the woods to change forms while the ones imprinted said their goodbyes. It was then that Paul made a hasty decision. He quickly went into the woods and phased.

He came out and walked up to Jacob and Bella, who were slowly walking to the tree line to give them time to change, and stop on Bella's left side ending with his face angled to be in front of her so she knew to stop. Jacob kept a close eye on him because this wasn't the plan. The wolves were suppose to stay in the trees to be unseen. When the imprinted wolves saw Paul they hurried to the woods. Just as Paul laid on his stomach, hoping she would understand what he was trying to do for her, Sam came out with low growls directed at Paul. Jacob snapped his head to Sam then back at Paul. He went to grab Bella's arm, which was quite a bit away these days, to pull her away from the wolf on the floor.

Bella had been staring at the wolf since he came out. She saw the slow way it moved. When he stopped her and laid down she stared into his eyes. When he had her attention Paul motioned his snout a bit to the right aimed at his back. Her eyes widen in realization. She stayed in place. Ignoring whoever was growling, she tried to reason with herself why he would do this. When she saw Jacobs hand reaching out to her she understood completely. She took the opening for what it was and got on his back. Pleased that her balance has improved. Bella's heart raced as she settled on his back and her stomach eased as her hands griped the wolfs fur. She gave out a great breath and started breathing a little more easily and leans in to him as he stands up. She looks over to Jacob to see he has already transformed and clothed ripped on the floor.

Sam continues trying to talk Paul out of his plan. As a leader he doesn't see the harm in showing Bella their speed. He also knows she is safe with Paul, as one of the first to change in the pack. So, he gives up soon enough and lets them go ahead with the pack. He has a few stern words with Jacob before they quickly follow. Any aggression within the pack can be dealt with after.

3PoV cont.

Their position is inside the National Park. In between Forks and Seattle. Sam wanted a place far away from La Push to finish this battle. Fortunately they didn't need to do this countless times, they set up the same day Victoria was forced to attack. She scented the Volturi in the city. She wasn't dead but she soon would be. The scent was one of the Volturi's kind warnings before they appeared. Why the warning, she didn't dare contemplate. That same day she put suggestions of an attack plan in Riley's head. That evening when the sun went down but all light wasn't gone yet. They left to attack. The plan didn't go as expected they picked up her smell soon after they split to search her scent before even reaching Forks.

Sam is the first to spot them, four newborns came from the northeast straight to him. Sam howls a battle cry and sprints to attack from the right. Jared leaves his place in the north and attacks from the left.

Jacob sees four more coming from the south. Embry joins him from his place in the south-east. Embry, eager for a fight after Victoria's elusive nature, rushes to the closest enemy. He bites down on the newborns' shoulder breaking the skin. Sounding like cracking-screeching glass as he throws the lifeless body. The sound of thunder came next as the hard skin collided with one of its kind.

Now that the fight has started, Paul guards Bella in the center. Quil guards the west, closer to the center than his point in the north-west.

Yet through all the thunder, howling, screeching glass, and angelic yells of pain ever wolf is aware that Victoria has not appeared.

It's OK if you don't like the wolves. I didn't read them much at first. But i felt they helped with character development and all that. Can't really dismiss something so big. Not gonna say if they stick around or not through the story. You're gonna have to stick around and see:)

I love it when you guys ask questions! Not that I'm gonna answer all of them. Can't give too much away. They let me know if I'm writing well enough for you guys to follow the story and what theories you guys have. :)
