A/N: So sorry it took me a while to update. I started working on Blue Eyes now so updates will be a little sparse. I hope you like this chapter even though I believe it's my shortest. I promise the next one will be longer.

Disclaimer: I sadly do not own Twilight...just Jay.

I took a nice bath since I would more than likely wet my cast and I really didn't want to have to get it replaced so soon.

I took a nice nap after my shower since I took some of my pain meds. I knew I wouldn't be taking them as often as Carlisle said I could because I didn't want to get addicted to them.

After my nap I realized I was running a little behind schedule and Paul would be here soon to pick me up. So I slipped into a black bikini with tiny red polka dots and then threw on a pair of black cotton booty shorts and a red-shirt. I grabbed a pair of black flip flops and slipped them on as I hopped around getting an extra outfit. I grabbed the first pants in my drawers and the first t-shirt hanging up and threw it in my bag. I threw in a pair of socks and black sneakers too in case I decided to walk home.

I threw in a book, my wallet, and my charger in case I spent the night anywhere. I threw in my sun glasses, towel, and small blanket in my beach bag and headed toward the kitchen. A car horn honked and I knew I was late for sure.

I texted my brother saying I would be a couple minutes and put my phone in my bag. I quickly brushed my teeth and threw my hair into a messy bun leaving he best I could. My bangs kept falling out so I used a Bobby pin to pin them back before I threw on some waterproof eye-liner then threw the pen in my bag.

I grabbed a bag of chips to munch on on the way and double checked to make sure everything was locked. I sent a quick text to Rosalie telling her what happened and why I never showed up. She said she understood and Carlisle had already let them know. We made plans to do it tomorrow and I promised to be over around noon.

I grabbed my bags and locked the front door before running to the car. I threw my bags in the back before turning to him and smiling.

"Sorry I kind of took a nap earlier and forgot to set an alarm."

"It's ok I understand. Do you have everything you need?" I nodded and we took off, I put on my seatbelt as he started driving.

We drove in silence and I kept biting my nails. I was really nervous about what would happen tonight and I just kept imagining all the things that could go wrong.

We got to the beach last but I was glad because I think it would have been worse if we got there first. The guys were throwing the football around and the girls were setting out the food and blankets. No one said anything to me at first so I took the time to lay out my blanket and relax a little away from the group.

I felt water dripping on my leg so I looked up to find who it was and I saw Seth's goofy grin. I smiled back at him and patted the spot next to me, that wasn't my blanket. In my head I knew I should be mad at Seth too but there was this quality about him that no matter what he was hiding from me I just couldn't ignore him like the others. I just couldn't be mad at him and I knew that I could trust him completely.

"How you feeling?" He asked. I couldn't tell if he meant my arm or about everything else that had happened.

"My hand hurts but it'll heal with time. I just have to make sure I take good care of it until then. But emotionally...I'm a wreck even if I don't show it. I just have no clue what's going on and I'm tired of being in the dark. I want to know what's going on cause no matter what I'm in love with an idiot, even if he can't see it"

"Trust me, he sees it. He's hoping that tonight will explain what he is afraid of telling you. Then he hopes you'll give him 5 minutes so he can explain the rest of it to you."

"Can't someone else just explain it to me? I know I need to talk to him but...damn...I don't know if I'm ready." I rolled onto my side so I was facing Seth and my back was to the large group of people starting to get a plate of food.

"Want some food?" He asked gently, rubbing my arm.

I shook my head and shooed him away so he would eat. After he left I took off my shirt and went in the water, making sure to only let the water come up to my thighs. It was starting to get cold but it felt good against my heated skin.

I let my good hand just touch the water as I looked out into the waves. The sun was starting to set and the sky turned beautiful shades of red and orange. I snapped a picture of it with my phone before sitting on my blanket and pulling out my book.

"Are you going to stay so far away the entire time?" A voice asked as they sat next to me. I looked to find Leah with a pleasant smile on her face, happiness suited her.

"No. Once it's time for stories, I'll make my way over and sit next to Paul."

"But why then? Everyone keeps asking me to drag you to the group. Jake looks like he'll, he's not even eating. I honestly don't think he's eaten since you punched him this morning."

"I'll go over if that's what they want, but don't expect me to get all friendly with them. They're hiding something from me and I won't be ok until I know about it."

"You're so stubborn. But I can understand where your coming from. Just come eat and talk with the women at least. Billy's telling the stories in 20 minutes, so you'll get your answers soon." I nodded at her and packed my stuff.

I laid out my blanket close to the circle but not near Jake. I just couldn't be near him yet, it was still hard.

I talked with the girls until it was time. The girls were nice but I knew they knew what was going on. I could see it in their eyes they knew what was going on with the guys. They knees the secrets I craved for and it both angered me and made me jealous.

"We shall tell the stories now." Billy called out and we all settled down for story time.
