Sandy and Gomamon were the only Digimon and digidestined left standing. Josh, Chip, and now Gotamon were down. Sandy stared into his malevolent eyes. She dashed towards SkullMeramon, and before he even noticed her she slammed her fist into his throat. Her fist was veiled by a small waterball. It doused SkullMeramon's flames. Sandy jumped off as SkullMeramon swung his arms at her.
" That hurt!" SkullMeramon exclaimed as he touched his throat. " That really hurt!"
Sandy opened her mouth. She rapidly fired dozens of water balls at him. SkullMeramon blocked the balls with his hands. But, the balls still hurt his body. SkullMeramon forged a small fireball in his right hand. He threw the fireball at Sandy. The fireball was smaller than his prior attacks because he was hurt. Sandy kicked the ground as hard as she could and a riptide of sand pushed into the fireball.
Chains grew chains from his arm. The chains went through the ground and popped out. Sandy grabbed the chains and tugged on them. With Sandy's amazing strength and the claws over her arms she pulled SkullMeramon towards her. Sandy jumped in the air and kicked his neck. Her water legs stung his neck. SkullMeramon's scorching red eyes were beaming even brighter than before.
" Sandy..." Gomamon quivered. " I think you should run."
" Surrender yourself to my flames!" SkullMeramon shouted.
" Not on his life!" Sandy pointed to Gomamon which made him shiver.
" Why me?"
A small candle flame ignited inside SkullMeramon's mouth. SkullMeramon breathed a torch of flames towards Sandy. Sandy's foresight knew his attack before he made it. She curved to the left. The flamethrower followed her to the left. Sandy wiggled her arms and small droplets went towards SkullMeramon's attack. She doused the flames.
Sandy leaped towards SkullMeramon and punched his mask. She attacked with a flurry of water soaked punches. She ducked as SkullMeramon rotated his arms around. Sandy stepped two spaces to the left of the mind tangled SkullMeramon, kicked his legs and uppercut his mask. But, two more chains emerged from the ground and wrapped around Sandy's arms. So far she managed to get out of things unscathed. If only she could mingle her way out of the chains.
Gomamon gently tapped his claws against Josh's back. " Wake up," he said. Josh made loud groaning noises before he finally opened his eyes. He saw Gomamon standing over him, smiling, and looking back he saw Chip and Gatomon on the same ground as him. " Gomamon? You're free?"
" Yes sir," Gomamon said, saluting Josh with his right claw. " Sandy and I escaped."
" Sandy?" Josh looked up. He saw Sandy brawling against SkullMeramon. He saw her struggling against chains. Gomamon slid like a seal to Chip and tapped his back. " Dorumon."
Sandy gnawed on the chains with her teeth. Her teeth turned into sharp fangs that snapped the chains apart. She fired another water ball at him. SkurllMeramon felt the sting of her attack before Sandy swerved and unleashed a geyser of water under SkullMeramon's feet. SkullMeramon twitched and cried. The flames in his body started to dissipate. Gomumon crawled up to Gatomon and tapped her back.
" Wake up, whoever you are."
Sandy wouldn't stop the onslaught of rushing water against SkullMeramon. He continued to twitch and panic. The once tyrant Digimon became nothing more then a pensive dying flame. His body dissolved little by little until he was nothing but mist.
" I will never die!"
Josh watched SkullMeramon being sucked into the mist until he was gone, vanished. The only remnant of him was the iron mask on the ground. Sandy won. She defeated the strongest Digimon Josh ever met and she did it all by herself. But, it wasn't easy for her. She was panting. Perspiration over her clothes and hands, and wiping it off her tan skin and silver hair.
" Sandy!"
Josh ran up to Sandy to help her. He placed a hand on her shoulders. Sandy slapped Josh's hands away. " Don't touch me!" Josh wasn't going to make the same mistake again. Sandy was looking for refinement's, something to drink to get rid of her thirst. Neither Josh nor Sandy knew their problems were just beginning.
Another Digimon materialized. He was tall, green skin with multiple scars over his body and metal bolts in his hands and two giant bolts in both sides of his head. The last thing about him was the giant axe on his back. The Digimon grabbed his axe and threw it at Sandy. The axe swooshed through the air, skewered on contact, but a white blur launched in front of the axe and swat it away.
" I am Gatomon!" Gatomon flapped her ears up and down. Gatomon hasten towards the green Digimon with great speed and scratched her claws towards him. The Digimon created a barrier made of electricity that repelled Gatomon. Sandy and Josh turned at the sound of her screams.
" I told you I can never die. I am the ultimate Digimon and right hand of my master. I am Boltmon."
