Chapter 14
Night of Resurgence
Mayumi looked out the window of their room, the brisk winter air was not as cold as before. A sign o springs arival. Her body was sore from last night and so she decided to get something to eat.
Heading toward the door Aido and Shiki tried to follow but Mayumi insisted that she'll be back with something for them to eat as well. They looked dissapointed but still Mayumi exited the room without a care.

It was 9 pm and to her standards it was early for vacation time. She walked down the halls snoring heard form each room she passed. Her eyes were so accustomed to the darknow that it was laughable, she still remebered the old days where she was innocent(well slightly), bullied, and human.
Those were the boring days.

The halls were exceptionally long and the lamp at the end of the hall seemed to stretch farther away. Mayumi at first thought this a cause of exhaustion but she soon realized it wasn't! The hallway was streatching.

Surely she couldn't be going crazy now, after all this time? Mayumi scoffed 'Took long enough' she thought.
Creak
Mayumi snapped her head back to see a figure behind her. Turning fully she pondered at what to think. Firstly Mayumi thought it was Aido or Shikibut then saw it was too short to be either one of them.
The figure dissapeared and Mayumis eyes widened. "Wher-" A small pair of hands covered her mouth cutting her off and stopping the yelp of pain to escape as something stabbed her lower back.
Mayumi back kicked whatever that was on her and hard. The hallway returned to normal and the thing crushed into the lamp with a snarl. Mayumi ran toward the rubble of glass and limb and picked up whatever it was by the hair.
"What do you want?" Mayumis eyes widened when she was met with bright red eyes, although it was not a big suprise to her it was the familiar face. The kind wary smile now marred with a murderous look. "It's you..." Mayummi breathed to the fang barring little waitress girl who had succumbed to a level E.
"Mayumi!" Aido came out finally noticing the comotion.

Shiki followed after Aido and although Aido sees the level E he does not comprehend. Shiki locked eyes with Mayumis simplying stating "You have to do it". Shiki didn't bother informing Aido of Mayumis short yet motivating moment with the girl. This was her problem to face and it would do no good to interfere.

Mayumi replied with a simple "I know" before letting go of the girls hair and turning around not baring to face what she had not noticed.

The level E sprang at Mayumi but before she could lay a finger on her vines sprang up sand slammed the level E to the ground. Wrapping and tightening until every crevice of its body was covered and turned to sand.

It was dead.

Aido said nothing and neither did Shiki as they swalked down the stairs. Mayumis face was solid no doubt was to be seen altough both men realized the lack of hunger she had at the dinning area.
What any of them failed to realize was the poison seeping into Mayumis skin and the still bleeding wound tinted green.

Kaname span around in the chair to face Rima Toyama, a smirk played his lips "Is this satisfying enough?"
"Perfect"
Takuma Ichijou was listening at Kanames side and was a little wary of his actions. Why would he do all this? It made no sense to him, was it to protect Yuki? Or for his own personal pleasure. Takuma didn't like it and bit his lip as he pondered the problem at hand.
What would be the need to turn her into a human again?

Mayumi, Aido, and Shiki got to the dorms and decided to take the day off and stay in the dorms.
Mayumi closed the door behind her in the solace of her empty room. Mayumi moved to the bed and fell on the bed arching her back and curling her knees to her body. A shot of pain shook her whole body Mayumi remebered the stab wound and pressed her hand to her lower back. Pulling it back she looked at her hand befuddled that the wound was bleeding. It never even occured to her since A.) Shes's a vampire it should've healed and B.) It didn't smell like blood. Looking more closly she saw he blood was tinted a green.

Withouth hesitation she reached under her bed for her supplies to cleanse her wounds and bandage them.
When she was done she was going to close the kit when a silver glint caught her eyes. Slowly opening the bag she saw the old pair of kitty-cat scissors. Her eyes clouded and her hand reached for it...
Would it work?
Anticipation filled her hand and she rolled up her sleeve snatched the scissors and pressed the blade to her skin.
She paused and she could hear her heart beat pound in her ears.
Is it worth it?
Flashbacks of what happened this morning filled her mind and she swayed.
Gasp!
The intake of air was her the loss of control was her the rest was instinct.
With strength and swiftness Mayumi passed the blade deeply in her skin. A known goodness swept throughout her and she looked down as the blood slowly seeped out.
'Anytime now' Mayumi thought as she waited in anxiety.
But that time did not come and he blood trailed down her arm hitting the white blanket. A twisted smile covered took hold of Mayumis face as she pressed deeper making up for all the time she missed.

Aido was banging on the door trying to pry it open along with Shiki but they could not do anything againts Mayumis vines and determination to feel it.
The bite that she had missed, that same bite Aido and Shiki had tried to replace.

NEWS FLASH! I will continue this story since I do have a perfect ending for it and I thank all who sticked to this so much! Thank you for the new followers as well! I do apologize for the long wait and if there are any spelling or grammar errors I missed I need to re-instal Microsoft word again UGHGHHH!
