A/N: hmm, this is what happens when I listen to Christmas music. A quick little one-shot with the song baby, it's cold outside. Could take place any time between All Those Who Wander and this story.
Rahzel sat on the loveseat with Ghirahim leaning his head on her shoulder. She finished the last sentence of the chapter. She breathed deeply. "I should be going back now. I really can't stay," Rahzel said at last getting to her feet and dislodging Ghirahim.
"But it's cold out there," Ghirahim countered.
Rahzel raised a single eyebrow, "My room is just down the hall."
"The hall is very cold," Ghirahim insisted.
Rahzel chuckled a little, "This evening has been so very nice." She turned to leave and Ghirahim teleported in front of her.
"Look your hands are cold as ice," he said holding onto her hands.
Rahzel smirked slightly. "Aniella would be worried if I'm not there in the morning," she said using her lady-in-waiting as an excuse to leave.
Ghirahim frowned, but quickly replaced it with a charming smile. "Beautiful, what's your hurry?" Rahzel paused a moment unsure how to continue.
"Mavis would be pacing my door until I return," she said. She took a couple of steps to the door. He reappeared in front of her. "So really I'd better scurry," she said again.
"Beautiful, please don't hurry," Ghirahim pleaded.
Rahzel felt somewhat swayed. "But maybe just a single chapter more," she said with a shrug of her shoulders. Ghirahim grinned pleased with himself. Rahzel, maybe due to her stubbornness, stopped to think. "What would the other nobles think?" she asked as she stepped back to the door. Ghirahim's shoulder sunk slightly.
"But it's really bad out in the hall," he restated now really close.
Rahzel looked into his charming brown eyes and sighed, "I wish I knew how to break this spell."
Ghirahim grinned once again pleased that he convinced her to stay with him. "Your eyes are like starlight," he whispered charmingly as he caressed her face. Rahzel leaned into his touch, closing her eyes. "Your hair looks swell," he continued as the fingers of his other hand ran through her silver hair.
"I ought to say no,no,no,sir," Rahzel replied now pulling away slightly.
"Mind if I move in closer?" Ghirahim said ignoring her previous comment as he stepped closer to her.
Rahzel giggled. "At least I'm gonna say that I tried," she said with a shrug.
"What's the sense in hurting my pride?"Ghirahim said looking a little hurt.
"I really can't stay," Rahzel insisted as she walked to the door waiting for his next comment. Ghirahim teleported in front of her again. "I simply must go," Rahzel stated again trying not to grin.
"But it's cold outside," Ghirahim insisted.
"I really can't stay," Rahzel said shaking her head. "I simply must go."
Ghirahim grabbed her hand, "but it's cold outside."
"The answer is no," Rahzel said shaking her head.
"But, my sparrow, it's cold outside," Ghirahim said.
"The welcome has been so nice and warm," Rahzel said making her way to the door.
Ghirahim's hands landed on her shoulder, stopping her movement. "Look out the window at that storm." Rahzel did so and could see snow falling outside.
"The cooks will be suspicious," Rahzel brought up, trying to think of other people as Ghirahim spun her to face him.
"Gosh, your lips look delicious," he hummed to himself as he licked his lips.
Rahzel could feel her face turning red. "uh..someone will be there at my door," Rahzel said trying not to buy into his charm. "And you know the maids' minds are vicious." Ghirahim leaned down to stop any protest with his lips.
He leaned back before licking his lips again, "Gosh, your lips are delicious."
Rahzel's head was now spinning. "I've got to go to my room," she said finally snapping out of it.
"You'll freeze out there," he insisted his hands now traveled to her upper arms.
"Then lend me your cloak," Rahzel replied grabbing the collar of the red material bringing his face down to her level. Now Ghirahim stopped as he no doubt was thinking of another comeback.
"It's up to you knees out there," he said pointing out the window.
Rahzel giggled. "You've really been grand," she started letting go of his cloak.
"I thrill when you touch my hand," he said as her hand brushed his.
"But don't you see. There's bound to be talk tomorrow," Rahzel stated shaking her head, "at least there will be plenty implied."
"Think of my life-long sorrow if you got pneumonia and died," Ghirahim said quickly putting a hand on his heart.
Rahzel chuckled. "It really is cold outside," she said with a sigh agreeing with him. "Okay, just one more chapter," Rahzel said before Ghirahim picked her up bridal style and carried her to the couch.
"That took a lot of convincing," Ghirahim said nestling his head into the crook of her neck. Rahzel giggled before opening the book where they last left off.
A/N: Another author note? Yes, I had a quick question for my readers. I'm debating on whether to stop with the plot I have going on and return to drabbles. You could put what you think in a review or just PM me. Thank You for reading.
