Hello everyone, you must get tired of hearing me say sorry all the time that's because I am, I've dearly missed writing my stories, I've had a lot come up that has torn me from it, sadly, but I will not bore you with the details.

I will try and keep up my writing and not let my posting chapters get too far apart. I will also try to do more updates in my "Author's Notes" so you guys know what's going on besides it will also give me a chance for my readers to get to know me and perhaps a chance for me to get to know my readers, you guys. I recommend you to follow my ''story'' called Author's Notes but that's your choice of course.

I do not own any of the Inuyasha plots/storyline or characters but I do own my own character - Hana (Kagome's older sister), Masashi (Kagome's father), Ami (Kagome's mother), Zealous (Masahi's Blade), Hikaru (Naraku's brother), Deathraze (Naraku's sword), Tsukiko (Hikaru's daughter) and Kaito (Hana's best friend), Alright enjoy guys.

Chapter 14: The Hearts Promise.

Kagome is heading back to Hana's hut with Hana and all their friends to wait for Masashi.

Kagome's view:

My blue orbs darted down to the ground as I walked by Hana's side back to her hut with her friends and mine following behind us, my ears were folded back as my head hung low I felt a hand clasp mine, I looked down and looked beside me. Hana had tears in her eyes as well; her ears stood tall her eyes focused on the path ahead, she held herself well even though I could see how much pain she was in just by the look in her eyes. I need to be strong too, I can't let Hana worry about me when she already has so much to worry about, I straightened my posture up and flicked my ears up tall as I held Hana's hand back firmly, I glanced at Hana. She darted her eyes to me, I smiled slightly she gave a slight smile back we then both turned our attention ahead, we along with our friends all walked in complete and utter silence to Hana's hut.

As we neared Hana's hut our hands slipped from each other's grasp, Hana opened the door and looked at me I gave a slight nod as I held the door she gave a small smile then walked in, I stood by the door watching Hana's friends and my friends walk in. Once everyone was inside, I walked in myself closing the door behind me, and went straight to Hana's side, to no surprise she was staring at the portrait of dad and herself. I followed her gaze, staring at father, the hut was filled with silence though I felt everyone's gaze on us "Hana…" I said "Don't worry, we will avenge our father" Hana said "I know we will, but first we have to see the rest of our family" I said. "Yeah, Hikaru states that we'll have our friends with us, but the toughest part will be telling Sota" Hana said I giving a nod in agreement "I'll go through first, wait a couple of minutes then come through after and wait there till I come back from explaining the basics to everyone" I said.

"You mean, I explain to Sota," Hana said I turned my head slightly to looked at her "Grandpa and mom already know I'm not dead," Hana said "You know what I meant," I said she gave a nod of her head "Yeah I know," Hana said softly then puffed a mournful sigh. "I wonder if us being together again has had a part in our father showing up tonight," Hana said "Whatever the reason we got to see him again, and we know he's proud of us and that he loves us," I said. Hana looked at me giving a smile "Yeah, so let's keep making him proud" Hana said I gave a firm nod of my head as my brows knitted together "We'll avenge father's death, we'll kill Naraku no matter how long it takes" I said. "And we'll make his death painful and slow, reminding him of everyone he has caused pain," Hana said "He's hurt my friends, your friends, and our family," I said my ears turned back slightly as my tail flicked, Hana's ears turned back ever so slightly.

Confident in our decision and our more passionate desire to kill Naraku was easily seen in our body language and heard in our voices "Naraku will die at our hand's sister, we'll make him suffer" Hana said with a slight growl. The looks in our eyes were the same, a lust to kill, a lust for vengeance, I already was out to kill Naraku for the sake of my friends and all those that were hurt by him, but I had a reason to kill Naraku myself. I closed my eyes clenching my hands into fists, swearing that I would avenge my father, and deaths of everyone who Naraku had killed, getting vengeance for everyone hurt by him I heard the cracking of knuckles which made me snap my eyes open. I cast my eyes to the source of the sound seeing Hana's hands clenched into fists as well; I darted my eyes to her face seeing a dangerous look in her eyes I unclenched my fists and rested my right hand on her left shoulder.

"Let's go sit down, Hikaru we'll be here soon so let's get as much rest as we can for the journey ahead of us," I said she went wide-eyed as she looked to me "What?" I questioned she puffed a laugh "Now you sound more like dad then mom" Hana said. I smiled "Well someone has to check you in check," I said she sighed as she rubbed the back of her neck "How'd I get so lucky to have you as a sister huh?" Hana puffed "We're both lucky," I said. I then pulled her close "So let's not make our friends more worried ok?" I whispered she then darted her eyes to our friends that were nearby "Oh…" Hana puffed, it looked like she completely lost track of everyone here. I grabbed her hand pulling her over to Kaito; I looked to Hana who was staring at me in curiosity, I flashed her a smile then looked to Kaito "Kaito, please take good care of my sister" I said as I let go of Hana's hand.

I then quickly pulled Kaito towards me and hugged him "I trust you to make Hana happy and keep her safe" I whispered then let go of him, his face had flushed red I giggled seeing his awed, and flustered expression then looked back to Hana. "Until we find Naraku let's concentrate on being happy, it's what our dad would have wanted," I said Hana looked to me her silvery-blue orbs now filling with tears "Kagome…" Hana said softly. She then gives a nod trying to wipe any evidence of tears away with her hand, I smiled then looked to my friends giving them a view of the smile I had plastered on my face, I knew this was going to be hard, but I needed to be strong.

Perhaps seeing my dad again as if he were, really, alive had stirred a new side to myself or enhanced my real inner strength to show, whatever the reason, I felt happy that I had the newly founded determination awaken within me. I knew I was not Kikyo, I know I have made mistakes but who hasn't? I faced every problem I've ever had a head-on and right now I couldn't let my friends or Hana worry over me or my feelings. Dad, I swear that I will protect our family, grandpa, mom, Hana, Sota, the Grim Reapers, and all my friends, Hana's friends included, and most of all I promise that I will avenge you. I am Kagome Higurashi, a priestess half wolf demon and I will live up to our name, I will continue to make you proud, finding my resolve to protect those that mattered most to me warmed my heart.

The warmth in my heart spread filling my body with warmth; I was so overwhelmed with love, the love for others and those that loved me, I was me no matter what would happen in the future, that I knew, I looked around the room. My friends, Hana's friends all starting to form smiles "I think if we are going to rest, we should at least make ourselves comfortable" Tsukiko said with a slight smirk forming, she went over to the cushioned seats around the fire pit. Tsukiko plopped herself down and stretched out "That does look comfortable," Miroku said as he followed her lead and sat down next to her "Miroku…" Sango said in a certain tone as she sat on his other side eyeing him off. Miroku just gave an innocent chuckle and smile "What? I am not doing anything sinister" Miroku said Inuyasha and Shippo followed their lead while Kirara lay in Sango's arms, drifting off to sleep from Sango's stroking her fur.

Koga sat on the other side opposite to Inuyasha while Ginta and Hakkaku sat between Tsukiko and Koga, I walked over casually and sat between Inuyasha and Koga, leaving a comfortable and large space for Kaito and Hana to sit together. Kaito and Hana were focused on each other, Kaito nervously rubbing the back of his neck trying to make small talk to see if Hana was ok, though Hana was just as nervous, she was clenching her hands behind her back. I glanced over to Tsukiko, she nodded her head "Hey lover birds hurry up and sit down before my father comes and kicks us all out" Tsukiko said "Or you could go somewhere else and confess your love" I teased. Tsukiko laughed giving a nod of her head "Yeah go get a room, oh wait…" Tsukiko said as she jolted upright "Don't do that cause you don't wanna have kids running around when Naraku's still out there" Tsukiko said.

"TSUKIKO!" Hana and Kaito yelled out simultaneously "Hey what would they be classified as? Kittens or Puppies?" Tsukiko questioned in a teasing manner "Tsukiko!" Hana growled and went to grab her. Tsukiko shot up from her seat and ran around us but stopped before getting to Kaito and jumped across the room over the fire, Kaito raced around one side while Hana went opposite to Kaito as they both tried to catch Tsukiko. I just laughed watching the whole scene pretty soon everyone was enjoying watching their playful banter as Kaito and Hana tried to catch Tsukiko, though all our laughter and the scene between Hana, Kaito and Tsukiko abruptly stopped. The door to Hana's hut flew open with a mournfully looking Hikaru standing in the doorway, his crimson eyes filled with rage "Everyone please take your seats, I must speak to you all before I send you off" Hikaru said in a distressed tone.
