Darlings, I was slow to update yet again, but I'm sure you fabulous people will forgive me.

Relevance aside, my new janitor at college looks like Walter White and I saw him cleaning the Chemistry classroom. Just throwing that out there.

In regards to other fics I'm currently writing I'm putting them on hold until I've finished this one because will all my school shit and whatnot I'll never get it done if I'm writing four different stories at once.

I've been playing FF a lot lately.

Oh Zack Fair, why don't people really look like you?

Some girl came into college today wearing Sharingan contacts and I fucking glomped her. We're friends and we're not that close and she was like 'what the fuck?' and I said 'FIRE STYLE FIREBALL JUSTU' because I do the greatest Yuri Lowenthal impression and she forgave me and we bonded over the sex appeal of Uchihas and Hatakes.

DISCLAIMER: Kishi-sama caught me, Obito and Sasuke getting down with it, and we were covered in dango syrup and long story short he cried himself to sleep and told me to take Naruto and go. I felt bad. Damn my beautiful heart. I didn't take him.

I don't play dirty. When I achieve ownership I intend to do it with honour.

Fuck the ANBU.

Naruto looked forwards, staring fixedly into Itachi's back. Another time, he might have thought the sight terrifying. He might have thought it the back of a demon.

He wouldn't have known how wrong he was.

He had to stop this. Whatever Itachi had done, and there was no disputing his treatment of Kakashi, it didn't matter right now.

No matter how the blonde looked at it, Itachi was a victim.

The words were still flying around Naruto's head who, not the brightest anyway, was struggling to comprehend it.

A mission? A mission?

"Are you sure?"

My power seeps out of you, even if it is in small amounts. You think I just lay in silence during your childhood years? No. I was collecting information that may have been some use to me when I achieved freedom.

Yes... Naruto knew Kyuubi gained nothing from lying to him, and so could place his trust in the truth of the fox's words. Yet for once, Naruto wished the demon was lying.

Was the Konoha really that sick and twisted to have done something like that? Naruto felt like he didn't have the whole story, because surely the Elders couldn't have been that evil, but for now that didn't matter because Itachi was in danger.

Itachi's power meant nothing in this battle if he had no intention of using them.

"Sasuke!" cried Naruto, "Stop!"

Sasuke, who had been slowly advancing upon his brother halted for a moment, and eyed his precious blonde curiously.

"Stop!" continued Naruto, "Don't kill him!"

Sasuke frowned and rested his red eyes back onto his hated brother, who almost obscured his Naruto from view.

"What are you talking about?" demanded Sasuke, "Just shut up, will you?"

"He's innocent!" implored Naruto, "Please, Sasuke! He lied! He lied to you!"

At this point Itachi spun round, with an emotion clear and striking in his eyes.

It was panic.

"Shut up," growled Itachi, "I don't know what you're trying to achieve here, but stop trying to interfere."

Naruto bared his teeth angrily, and struggled relentlessly against his restraints, ignoring the searing pain this caused.

"Stop this!" he yelled desperately, "Itachi you don't have to do this! I can help you!"

"What are you talking about?" enquired Sasuke impatiently, "This monster killed my entire clan, and attempted to kill you, and you want to help him?"

"You don't understand," wept Naruto, "It wasn't as simple as just killing your clan! He was made to!"

A deadly silence materialized in the cavern, and Itachi's eyes darkened.

"I could have refused if I'd wanted," said Itachi lowly.

Naruto looked up at the older Uchiha and wished he could approach him. But he was still bound in chains, and Itachi didn't look too friendly right now.

"What?"

Blue eyes met black ones as Naruto's attention flashed to Sasuke, who wore a disbelieving and angry expression on his face.

"Sasuke..."

"Stop lying," he ordered, "This isn't the time for your jokes, baka."

Itachi suddenly appeared at Naruto's side and he leant over to his ear, his breathing remarkably calm and composed. He really was quite the stoic.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" he whispered dangerously.

"I don't care what happens," replied Naruto, "If peace in the village is disrupted then Danzo only has himself to blame."

"... How did you..."

"I have my sources," murmured Naruto, "Please... Itachi... I love your brother. You may think you're helping him, and the village. Perhaps you have saved the village but..."

"But?"

"You'll destroy Sasuke in the process," said Naruto surely, "I hate to tell you this but... I know him better than you do."

Itachi pulled back to look the blonde in the eye and in turn Naruto showed no wavering of emotion. He had to make Itachi see.

"Itachi..." said Naruto softly, "Let me down."

Saying nothing, the Uchiha unlocked the chains and Naruto fell down into his embrace. It was clear the Uchiha had been left stumped and Naruto had to seal the deal before he had second thoughts.

"Itachi," said Naruto, "I want to compromise with you."

"Compromise?" he asked doubtfully

Naruto nodded. "A truce. Leave the Akatsuki, leave me alone, leave the village alone. Stay as you are, because even I'll admit your sacrifice will be for nothing otherwise, but... I want to be your friend Itachi. Your... the best Shinobi I have ever met. And I'm not just saying that. I truly admire you."

A small smile played at the lips of Itachi and he cocked his head slightly, his eyes swimming with wisdom.

"What good would that do?"

Naruto smiled back.

"If you do as you are," said Naruto, "Then the village will be safe, but you'll lose your life, and Sasuke will lose his sanity. If you do as I suggested, then the village will be safe, you'll get to live, and Sasuke will be happy."

"I don't think you understand," said Itachi gently, "I massacred my entire clan, my parents, my girlfriend. Sasuke can't forgive that. If I do as you say then... what would it have been for?"

"For the village," said Naruto strongly, "Now tell Sasuke the truth, because he's not a child anymore and he deserves your honesty."

"You really love my brother..." contemplated Itachi, stating it rather than posing it as a question.

"I really do," said Naruto honestly.

"He's lucky... to have a friend like you," murmured Itachi.

Itachi ruffled the blonde spikes and turned to face his younger brother. Sasuke immediately stormed past him and reaching down, he scooped Naruto into his arms. Naruto revelled in the sensation of the Uchiha's soothing, cool skin that cast away the pain he was feeling, and set loving eyes upon him. Sasuke looked at him with an emotion Naruto had never seen before, and kissed the blonde's forehead tenderly before steadying his hold and facing Itachi again.

"Something to tell me?" demanded Sasuke.

"Little brother," said Itachi seriously, "We need to talk..."

"Well that was a disappointment."

"Master won't be happy about this."

"Yes, Sasuke's hatred was rather important wasn't it."

"We needed those eyes."

The plant man eyed the scene curiously before melting back into the dirt, and reappearing at his master's side.

"Well?" asked the Masked Man, turning his spiralled face to glare at Zetsu.

"There was no fight," complained White Zetsu, "The Nine Tails boy knew about Itachi's secret."

"Which means there's a possibility you've lost Sasuke," informed Black Zetsu seriously

The man took several steps forwards and Zetsu noticed for the first time that they were in a graveyard.

"Where are we?" inquired White Zetsu curiously

"I'm buried here," he stated nonchalantly, "I don't think we should rule out Sasuke all together."

"Why not?" asked White Zetsu

"Ah," laughed Black Zetsu, "I understand... you think Sasuke might not be so forgiving towards the Village."

The man chuckled softly.

"The boy is nothing like his brother," he assured, "He's more like Izuna was... or so I'm told."

"Forgive me," apologized Black Zetsu, "I don't understand."

Turning, the man began to walk away.

"Short tempered and loyal," began the man, "If Sasuke finds out the truth his old adoration of Itachi will return. Like Izuna, he will not rest until he has avenged his brother's honour."

"And we'll be here to help him when he does," cooed White Zetsu.

"Yes..." murmured the man, "But for now..."

"What?" asked White Zetsu excitedly.

"It's dango time."

I'm secretly a Zetsu fan. He's adorable as fuck.

I wanted to include Hidan because me and Hidan are like, fucking, the same person, yet he doesn't fit in anywhere.

Fuccckkkkk.

How was everyone's Halloween by the way? I was a vampire, as usual. My friend fell in a pond, I helped her out. I was drinking straight vodka all night and I didn't even have a hangover.

I am fucking god.
