Okay guys.. just make one thing clear, I'm not dead! Okay? Everything is fine and dandy and, I'm still going to continue this story in full content. BEFORE you blow up at me in the reviews, I want to say that I have been busy.. so.. so.. SO very busy with life. Once school ended I was sure that everything would be fine, but then I had more life stuff to do. I was forced to go camping a few times.. help clean the house a few times.. just the usual things. THEN when I figured I could FINALLY get some work done, the internet went down :l. So now.. here I finally am with the next chapter to this story, and I sincerely apologize for the shortness of this chapter considering all the time it took to get here. Believe it or not, this chapter was a bit rushed. I have read over it a few times, but knowing my stupid self, there are probably a few errors in there somewhere. PM me if you find anything major please. Again, I'm sorry and hopefully things will speed up.

ANYWAYS, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for all of the support! I love you guys.

Now on to chapter 14

DISCLAIMER: still don't own Frozen... do own Alex and Magnus though.

Knock

Anna sighed as she looked at the wall of the castle. How long had it been since Alex had been wounded? She couldn't remember, but it felt like a week. She could tell that Elsa was way too speechless to react once he had fallen over, so Anna took it upon herself to order the guards to secure the area and scout for this assassin. Everyone was so confused, and scared but for the first time in forever, Elsa was choked up. She couldn't seem to do anything but stare at Alex's arm. Anna had ordered the servants to get him a doctor and to get Elsa inside quickly. Anna could still remember how hard she was shaking as she gave these commands. She definitely was not meant to carry out orders.

Was Alex okay? Was her sister safe from anymore attempted harm? Was she giving the correct orders? She breathed in shakily, trying to calm herself when she felt two hands rest on her shoulders. She jumped with a squeak and whipped around.

"Woah! Calm down, it's just me." Kristoff held his hands up.

Anna calmed herself and looked back at him with a worried glance. She was too scared to be angry with him.

He frowned, "Don't worry too much. Everything is going to be fine." he assured her.

Anna felt her knees wobble, everything was not fine. She had no idea of the condition of Alex and someone had tried to murder her sister! She felt her eyes begin to tear up as she looked at Kristoff. Without warning she jumped into his arms and began to cry.

Kristoff almost fell at the sudden reaction but soon regained his footing to support the crying princess in his arms. She was quiet, not throwing a huge fit or making her sobs heard. She squeezed him tightly and silently let her tears escape.

Kristoff frowned to himself as he looked at her in his arms. She was terrified, and felt so fragile in his grasp, as if she would break away into pieces at any moment. He could imagine that it wasn't easy for her, taking charge was never something that she was used to. She was too use to letting Elsa be the leader, and this sudden turn of events must be terrifying for someone used to such a different lifestyle. Not to mention the event itself that had happened. If it weren't for this new guy, Elsa would be dead or at most, in critical condition.

Kristoff didn't know what he could do for her. He was just an ice harvester, and nothing more. He had no power among the kingdom, he was only known as a friend to the royal sisters. If that was all he was, then he would do the best to be a good friend to Anna.

Kristoff was taken away from his thoughts as Anna's grip had begun to release and she slowly backed away from him. She wiped her eyes and sniffled, "Sorry." she smiled lightly.

"For what?" he asked with kind eyes.

Anna's smile grew at these words and she began to calm herself down. Kristoff was so sweet when she really needed it, there really was a soft heart under that hard shell of his. She took in deep breaths and tried to regain control over herself. She needed to speak with Elsa.

Light broke out through the window which made his eyes cringe. Alex awoke with a groan and opened his eyes. He was still in the guest room of the castle. Though his arm was sore and needed to be redressed, he felt much better than before. He sat up after the two days he had been conked out, and looked around to see nobody in the room this time. He stood up with a wobble, but his body soon adjusted. He walked to an open door in the room and looked in, thankfully it was a bathroom. He walked inside and shut the door behind him.

He began to remove the bandages slowly, he had no idea what it looked like and he didn't want to re-open the wound. He came to the last wrap and carefully removed it. There were stitches that closed his skin back together along with small smudges of dried blood. He turned on the sink to a low pressure and ran his arm under it, feeling the cool water. He slowly rubbed the smudges off with his free hand and when seeing it was all gone, he turned the sink off.

Alex searched the shelves for any disinfectant, soon finding medical alcohol. He unscrewed the lid and slowly ran it down his arm. He winced at the sting, but endured it. After cleaning and drying his arm, he walked to the shower. Alex turned the water on and waited for it to heat up.

After he had gotten out of the shower, he redressed his arm with new and clean bandages.

Then his heart dropped... where was Magnus? What has happened with his dog while he was here for two days? Was he hungry? Did he run out to look for him after Alex hadn't returned? Panic arose from his core and he hurried to the door.

Alex swung the door open to find a surprised Anna in front of him, about to enter.

"Oh! Hello Alex." she smiled, "I was just about to check on you."

"Oh, I just woke up actually." he spoke in a hurried tone, "Do you know if Magnus is okay?" he asked in a rushed matter.

Anna giggled, "Don't worry about him, I went to go and get him after everything had calmed down two days ago." she responded.

Relief washed over him, Anna had remembered his buddy. He wasn't starving in his house and he didn't run off. "So where is he?" he asked.

Anna's smile turned into a skeptical look, "Well.. We don't have any place for dogs to be in the castle. So I dropped him off in the stables." she looked embarrassed.

Alex chuckled at this answer before remembering to ask, "Did you need to tell me something?"

"Oh! Right." she began, "It would be better if Elsa and I both spoke to you. Follow me, this way." She turned around to walk before finishing her sentence.

Alex huffed lightly before following her steps.

He thought of the events that have taken place in Arendelle. He still was quite shocked at the quickness of the attack. It was almost a blur for him, it happened so fast. All he could remember was running, heat, anger, and then fading into darkness to waking up in a bed. Though he knew it was real, he had his damaged arm to prove it. An assassin was out there, and after the queen. Whatever was happening, whatever occurred two days ago, Alex was determined to keep the both of the girls safe from this new threat.

Elsa paced around the room in a stressed fashion. She wore her dress that covered most of her skin. The only part that was showing was her face. She wore the gloves to keep from accidentally freezing something over in her her paranoia.

Someone was after her, and she had no idea who it was or why they wanted her... gone.

Guards stood outside the doors, but Elsa still felt as if she was being watched. As if every corner was covering the figure that was after her. Every place in the room that she couldn't see was automatically deemed suspicious because of her feeling of unknowing. She was not able to see each spot in the room, making her feel as if when ever she turned around, it would sneak closer to her until it was about to strike. This feeling overwhelmed her, making her reach for the doorknob. Before she could touch it, a knock planted itself on the other side of the door.

Elsa froze and stepped back slightly.

"Hellooo? Are you in there Elsa?" she heard the voice ask.

This was odd. That voice sounded nothing like anyone she knew, yet it was far from intimidating.

The knock was heard again, "Elsa? I came to help.. if I can." it spoke.

Then she snapped, how could she forget the sound of that voice? Elsa smiled and opened the door to a short little snowman.

As soon as Olaf had seen Elsa, he grinned widely, "Hi!" he spoke with a bounce in his step.

Elsa nodded, "Hello Olaf. Good to see you." she replied, "Come inside." she moved out of the way for the short figure to come inside.

Olaf made his way inside, the grin never leaving his face.

Elsa shut the door after a quick nod to the guards. She turned to face her small friend with the relief of not being alone inside anymore. Maybe Olaf could cheer her up a bit, he's never failed before in the past, even though this task felt impossible.

Elsa made her way to the other side of the room. She reached for two chairs and set them next to each other, while Olaf only stared at the huge room with a never ending smile plastered unto his face.

Elsa offered a seat to which Olaf took gladly. It took him a moment before he could reach up onto the chair to sit down.

Elsa sat down next to him with polite ease.

Olaf put his scrawny hands over his 'knees' and wiggled his feet like a child would, "So.. I heard what happened during the show." he began, "Is everything okay?" he asked with worry.

Elsa exhaled and looked down with a conflicted gaze, "I don't know Olaf. I still need to figure out what to do about this whole situation." she replied.

Olaf tilted his head at her slightly, "What do you think you should do?" he asked.

She took a moment before turning back to him, "For now... send two groups out to track this.. assassin. Increase the patrols around the castle, and keep a sharper lookout for anyone suspicious." she decided.

Olaf nodded, "And, what do you think YOU should do?" he leaned in closer.

Elsa blinked with realization, she couldn't leave the castle until this issue was resolved. What was she to do? Wait? Was that it? And for how long? Elsa really didn't know how to answer this question.

Olaf frowned, "I guess all you really could do is wait huh?"

Elsa nodded slightly, "For how long would be the question." she remarked. "It could take a very long time for even news to be heard. I wouldn't want to be stuck in here forever... again." she choked on that last word.

Olaf noted that Elsa never stammered or had a hard time with pronouncing words. This was a rare occurrence, but given the pressure and circumstance, he understood. Olaf looked into her eyes that seemed to be glued to the floor. He saw some of the fear that had been shown back in the ice palace, but what could he do exactly? He'd never been unable to cheer someone up before. Though he hadn't been walking and talking for longer then three months either. Olaf glanced slightly downward to see the shaking of her hands that crossed over her arms. She really was scared.

Finally, Olaf decided to stand up on his chair and step onto the edge of Elsa's.

Elsa looked up at Olaf a bit confused at what he was trying to do.

He then opened up his arms, "Do you like warm hugs too?" he finished with a childish grin.

Elsa suddenly collapsed within herself. She had felt like breaking down into tears, but remained strong until this moment. Olaf was really a true friend that she could open up to. He may have been granted physical life only weeks ago, but he had been alive in her heart since early childhood.

Elsa's eyes let their tears finally flow after keeping it locked up inside. She then fell into Olaf, wrapping her arms around him. She really needed this contact with another person... or snowman.

It was good to finally let it go.

After a while of calming down and regaining control, the two of them began to talk a bit. Olaf showed off some of his humorous and naive personality, causing Elsa to laugh occasionally. They conversed for a while about different things before being reminded of the problem at hand. Their smiles faded and they were brought back to this matter.

Olaf was about to say something else before a knock on the door was heard.

(Please know that I may NOT choose your idea for my own reasons, so do not me surprised if your idea does not appear later on. Also, If I do choose your idea, I WILL alter it as I see fit to try and make it my own. All I'm asking for is a little bit of inspiration, not a big and huge plot twist, okay? it's my story, so don't think you can change anything about it.) - Just so we're clear
