Lacey
My heart was twisting and turning in my chest. I couldn't breathe and before I knew it I was on the ground. This was all wrong there was no possible way this was right. It had to be my mother's doing she'd do anything to separate us.
But I couldn't sense my mother or anyone for that matter. Danny and Jo were all alone in the woods kissing like he'd kissed me. Danny wouldn't do this… he wouldn't betray me but I'd seen it with my own eyes.
Danny why?
Two hours earlier Lacey POV
Jo traveled fast. It took us a minute to track her. All of this would have been done in a blink of an eye but I wasn't allowed to use magic. My mother's coven would be on the look for it and I wouldn't make it easy for them.
Once Danny knew we were going in the right direction he changed and took me into his arms. Not listening to me when I told him I could stay behind. It's not like I could go anywhere. Like earlier he ignored me and starts in a run.
Lucky for Jo we came when we did. It seemed the town's people were looking for us. I suddenly felt like Boney and Clyde. It was like they'd all lost their minds shooting at us with gun. Even if he hit Scott we were still kids.
After a bullet hit Danny I knew no way around it I put up a shield to buy us sometime. It was a good idea in my head until the all too familiar wind began to blow. It thought I was over my head so it was protecting me. Still I didn't understand they were only human.
All too soon more people started to arrive I knew I couldn't hold them off and worry about Jo or Danny wolfing out. Calling over my shoulder I told them to run the East wind was protecting me so I'd be fine but they had to get out of here.
Danny refused ever after Jo tried to drag him away. Without another thought I transported them out of here. Again I'd chosen to put Danny's life before mine but that's what you do when you're in love.
Jo and Danny
Danny started shredding trees, bushes, anything he would get his hands on. Lacey was out of reach and she did magic in fort of humans. Even if she got away her coven would have her killed. This had to be Tara's end game.
That old bitch was taking everything from him again. Like last time there was nothing he could do about it. Why did she send him away? Why?
"Danny if you keep this up they'll find us."
"Do you honestly think I care? I am a dead man on borrowed time. If Lacey dies I die. Of which I don't care because without her there is no life worth living."
"You could live with me Danny. We were born to be together that is pack law."
"I don't give a damn about pack law. If you were half the person I thought you were. You'd be worried about your friend who just risked her life to save you. When all you could have done was come and talk to us about what you were felling. But instead you run off and get attacked."
"I was attacked but they were looking for you. Because someone killed Archie after he kissed Lacey."
"It wasn't her"
His wolf did not like Jo at the moment so he figured it was time they parted ways. Sending her back to her pack and he would find Lacey. Feeling her come up behind him he took in deep breathes to not swing on her.
"I'm sorry you're right. I just don't want you to get hurt because of her. Whoever is doing this wants her not you."
"Jo I'd really hate to slap you but if you say one more thing about Lacey I will forget how close we use to be."
Joanna stood shocked that he would threaten her. That was the push she needed to see he truly had no feelings for her. Fighting back tears she turned to run but stopped.
"Oh Danny, you are more like your aunt than you know."
Every nerve in the young wolf's body froze when the woman said his name. This couldn't be happening; not now.
"Jo get out of here."
"Oh no Daniel we are all going to stay right here."
Lacey
The crowd turned back with fear of the young girl in the woods. If she could make two people disappear and stop bullets than she was above their pay grade. Even though the humans were gone Lacey couldn't move and wouldn't be able to until the wind subsided.
Relaxing she tried to reach out to Danny talking to him would calm her down a little. All of this was just too much at the moment. She needed him.

Panicking she started to think back. The bullet wound wasn't fatal but then again he couldn't die. That little fact she just remembered. For some reason she couldn't get to Danny. What if her mother was in the woods looking for her and she found Danny. That was why she couldn't contact him. Judy said she'd kill him so she wouldn't have to die.
This was it; the last of her of control. Her mother was trying to kill Danny, the town people wanted them both died. She was so tired of everyone fighting against them.
They were just teens, still kids in many eyes. Fighting to live like other teens did. That wasn't what they saw. All this running away was over. It was time to fight.
