Dream: I'm still left unsure about this part...
Yumeí: It's fine. You did fine.
Dream: But I wasn't sure what to do with you so...this happened.
Ash: NOW WHO IS A LITTLE INSIGNIFICANT CREATURE?!*evil cackle* Ok I had my fun. You did FIIIINNNEEEE.
Haloid: Stop apologizing. You have school. This was written in your spare time, and I'm certain the readers understand that.
Dream: Okay. Thanks. ANYway, readers please enjoy.
"No, no, and no again! You can't make me do anything!"
"Yumeí, don't be stubborn. You know that always makes it worse."
"Shut up," the Darkus battler growled at Haloid. "I'm not doing it, and that's final! I can hear Shun now: 'Where have you been? Why do you have to be so irresponsible? Do I have to babysit you?' UGH! I finally find my sister, but because of that stupid Sybelline, I can't even tell my big brother!"
You don't have to live with her, Code Adam inserted without permission. You get irritated when being near her for five minutes. I've been stuck with her for millennium. But enough already; we have to go. Now, please.
"I am NOT going on another of these...these shenanigans!" Yumeí sputtered. "I hate it when you make me do this! Shun yells at me, I have to defend myself, and it all just gets worse. Heaven forbid I ever get one day to myself!"
I don't do shenanigans, Code Adam complained. If you are really so worried about Shun's rage, then leave him a note. He has his own trouble at the moment and shouldn't notice our departure. Please Yumeí. Both of our sisters need us now.
"Fine," Yumeí grumbled, unable to resist that particular argument. Seizing a piece of paper and pen, she scribbled a note to her older brother. Haloid read over her shoulder, tilted sideways in midair to make up for the slant in her letters.
Nii-San Shun,
Don't freak out. If you can't find me, I'll only be gone for an hour or seventy-two. It was a BYOB party that I couldn't miss. No, you are not invited to come find me. There will be no explanation, so don't bother with an interrigation.
Imouto Yumeí
"Why did you say it was BYOB?" Haloid asked. Yumeí flipped her bangs out of her face impatiently as she taped it to the door of the guest room she slept in while staying at Marucho's.
"Because, even if there is no 'B' I couldn't write BYOAVIYH."
"Which stands for...?"
"Bring Your Own Annoying Voice In Your Head."
Hilarious, Code Adam commented. I understand you're angry at me, but wait until later. The energy surge from the Sybelline concerns me.
Yumeí sighed again and let Code Adam use the Doom Energy to warp them through the dimensions. The other end was a beautiful, crystalline world, badly damaged by some form of Bakugan battle.
Crystophasis. My sister's homeworld, Adam informed his host.
Yumeí looked around at the huge, shining buildings, her bad mood fading to be replaced with awe. She wandered though the streets, ignoring the planet's inhabitants, who stared with a mixture of curiosity and fear. Code Adam pointed her towards a tall spire and told her to climb to the top. Yumeí ran, taking the stairs two at a time. At the top was a large chamber, and as she pushed open the orate doors, she saw Tabitha standing in the middle of the floor, tapping her foot impatiently.
"Heya sis," Yumeí greeted her, giving a two-finger salute. Tabitha rolled her eyes.
"Haven't I asked you not to call me that?"
"Awww...C'mon, I like that nickname! Cut me some slack! You've been no fun ever since that stupid Sybelline invaded."
"I don't like her any better. She frikkin' took over my body!"
"And I feel sorry for you," Yumeí sighed. "But before we go into more sibling stuff, can you tell what the distress call was all about? Shun will kill me if he finds me gone, so I want this done ASAP."
Tabitha pointed at the large shards of shattered crystal on the floor. Yumeí crouched and picked one up, hissing slightly as the razor edge sliced her fingers.
"This was the Sybelline's orb. Her birthplace of sorts. She won't explain what it did other than housing her conciousness before taking me over. It's apparently a big deal that the queen's dead as well."
"So, crazy politics, broken glass, etc." Yumeí sighed. "But what does she need me and Adam for? Making an interdimensional trip isn't easy you know. It throws off my schedule."
Perhaps we should speak of this all on the same level, Code Adam suggested. Sybelline is giving me different details than she gave Tabitha. Miscommunication would be dangerous at this point, would't you agree, sister?
"You are even more annoying than your host."
Though the words came from Tabitha, the voice clearly belonged to the Sybelline. Tabitha was enraged, but before she could complain about the spontaneous control of her mouth, Code Adam's reply came from Yumeí's.
"As always. Now please, ask what you want rather than having poor Tabitha struggle with a lack of understanding."
"Adam!" Yumeí cried. "We agreed you don't do that! It's invasive of my personal space!"
"Alright, enough!" Tabitha interrupted. "You are all giving me a headache. Will someone explain to me what exactly is happening here so we can all go home happy?"
"Very well," the Sybelline huffed, still using Tabitha's mouth. "This orb is very important-both to me and the universal balance. I wanted to see if Code Adam could repair it, since Code Eve is unavailable."
"Well, let's take a look at the damage," Code Adam and Yumeí said at the same time. Crouching, Yumeí let Code Adam direct purple wisps of doom energy. As he considered the possibilities, Yumeí looked at her big sister.
"You wouldn't happen to have any duct tape handy, would you?"
"You humans and that infernal tape!" The Sybelline burst.
"Do not underestimate the power of the duct tape!" the Kazami sisters said together. The pair stared at one another for a long moment, then both girls burst into laughter.
Adam gave the Sybelline her answer as Yumeí wiped tears of mirth from her eyes.
"The orb can be restored. It would take far more energy than I can spare at this time, and if I alone fixed it, the orb would be tainted by the negative energy. The only flawless way would be for Eve and I to work together, which would not be possible. Or, I should say, will not be possible for several human years."
The Sybelline fell silent as Code Adam retreated his presence back into the back of his host's mind. Yumeí opened a small doom portal and pulled out a roll of duct tape.
"Okay, let's try this human style. Get over here and help me sis!"
Tabitha rolled her eyes as her younger sister tore off a piece of tape.
Dream: I had to cut this off, or it would go on forever! ¡Ay! Read and Review!
