Entry 40 – November 14, 2012
Today was a very carefree day for Daniel and I today. Much more than the previous day. I also had plenty to talk to him about because of event that occurred last night. I had a dream while I was sleeping and it was quite interesting. In this dream, things seemed to be normal. The sky was blue instead of some strange color or effect. I wasn't walking around in some place I had never been before and seemed to be in normal apparel (verses me being in a gold suit or something crazy like that). In fact, it was just like a normal afternoon I spend with Daniel. He was by my side as we walked along side of the lake. I was talking to him about something (sadly, that I do not remember). The normal feeling stopped as I heard another voice, but strange enough, I didn't flinch. It was Daniel, replying to something I said about the topic. I was shocked after waking up from this dream, so some minor details were given less importance. We went on talking with each other for quite a while until he had stopped to sit next to the river bank. I just stood next to him, looking at the murky water and often turning my head to see him speak to me. It was very strange to see him talk as well. The one thing I do remember him saying to me was "Come on, Alex. Let's walk you back home." After I heard that and started walking back towards the power lines, I woke up. Later that afternoon in the real world, I met up with Daniel and did not waste time to tell him the dream I had. He seemed honored, yet confused. His initial reaction was intrigued. I guess I had never told him about any of my dreams before, especially one about us. I don't think I have had another dream about us, honestly. Once I was finished telling the story, all Daniel did was just stare at me with a grin while still tilting his head (in what I'm guessing was still confusion). I had been thinking about what we should do today for a few minutes. I was able to see Daniel twitch a bit in the corner of my eye. That snapped me out of my pondering. Daniel then quickly leapt into the air to the left (towards the road), stirring up dust all around me. After coughing my way out of the sandstorm Daniel had inadvertently placed upon me, I pretty much knew where he wanted to go. "Alright, I guess we can go to the lake." I said, looking at his inquisitive expression. We set off towards the lake. I was guessing that we would just be walking around for a bit there. We stopped at the road and listened (as usual). Although, unlike usual, Daniel heard a car coming. I didn't hear anything when Daniel signaled for me to move to the right and hide behind the shoulder of the road. I sorta hesitated because I didn't hear anything, but I went ahead and trusted Daniel on his hearing. Within a few minutes, sure enough, a pickup truck drove along the bank and went up the hill. Once the coast was clear, we proceeded to cross the road and make our way to the lake. It was an overcast, but sunny day today. I could see from one bank of the lake to another this time. We stopped close to the lake and I asked Daniel what he wanted to do here. He responded by springily walking down the "path" alongside the lake, turning around after he made a few steps. "Okay!" I said, with a bit of a grin after seeing Daniel's lively attitude. We began to walk beside each other, kind of like the dream I had told Daniel not 15 minutes ago. I don't remember exactly what the weather was like in the dream, but I do know that the sky was like a crisp, turquoise ocean. The sky looked about the same today, just a bit less exaggerated. As I was comparing this walk to the one in my dream, I felt Daniel brush up against me slightly. "Uh...yes?" I asked him, now back in reality (pun unintended?). He gave me a sly look, but because I was zoned out, I didn't know what he was on about. After a few minutes of walking, Daniel stopped and sat, looking towards the lake. I noticed he did this and sat down next to him. Daniel looked down at me and saw that I was sitting, instead of standing. I glanced back at him and chuckled a bit. The dragon had pulled his "ears" a bit back and looked at me a bit disappointed. "Oh alright, I'll stand up." I said, pushing myself off the ground. With the sudden change of his emotion, I could tell Daniel liked it that I was standing by him. With both of us staring at the water, I felt Daniel brush up against me again. "What are you doing?" I said with a chuckle. He glanced at me with the same mischievous look. After a few more minutes, Daniel started to walk back towards the power lines, making a strange noise (a short and loud purring noise of sorts) to get my attention. I hurried next to him and we started on our way back. Tonight was the usual, I just sat on the deck of the tree-house and talked to Daniel, who was in a tree right across from me. I asked Daniel whether he wanted to go to the lake because he wanted to act out his part of my dream or if he just wanted to let me experience the dream again. He nodded yes. After some more confused questions from me, the answer really was both. Even as of writing this, I still feel bewildered. I can definitely say that no one has ever done that for me. Then again, I haven't really told anyone about any of my dreams (at least in the detail I gave Daniel). I feel kind of special (in the good sense) about all this. Maybe this is just a result of our friendship. Either way, Daniel is the best friend I could ask for (or even imagine for my case).
