ZIM
Ba-dunk.
Zim groaned, crawling deeper under the sheets. He cursed at that random sound, that had woken him up from his sleep. Falling asleep was so hard nowadays, with his headaches and his nightmares, he had been thankful he could finally get some rest, but then there was that odd noise-
Ba-dunk.
He froze under the sheets, his antennae twitching, waiting for the sound to repeat itself as his sleepy brain slowly started thinking: What was happening? Where was that noise coming from?
Ba-dunk.
He shot up, flipping the blankets off of him. What was that?! As his mind finally started to wake up, he realised how bizarre this was. They had never heard sounds from outside of their room, apart from Skoodge walking to their room or guards, on monday. He reached over to Tak, who was still fast asleep. He grabbed her shoulders and shook her body around.
'Wake up!' He hissed. 'Tak, wake up! Did you hear that?'
Tak groaned and slapped at his hand while trying to move away from him. He opened his mouth to say something, when it started.
It had to be one of the loudest noises Zim had ever heard in his whole life. He shouted, jumping and instinctively covering his antennae. Tak had appeared to do the same, but Zim couldn't really pay attention to her as it sounded like the entire armada was being torn to shreds. The noise came from the wall on their left, but it was hard to tell. It was so loud that their screams from fear and confusion weren't heard by either of them.
As sudden as it had begun, it also ended, leaving Zim's anntenae refusing to pick up any sound. Tak shouted something, but he couldn't hear it. His PAK sent warning after warning to his brain, informing him how close he had gotten to actually going deaf over the noise.
After a few seconds, he could hear his surroundings again, a beeping noise settling in his brain. He grabbed his head, shaking it in pain; the sound hadn't done his headache any good. He realized the noise hadn't completely vanished, the ba-bunk- sound had returned but repeated itself a lot more now.
'WHAT IS HAPPENING!?' He screamed at the top of his lungs, since he couldn't hear anything softer than that.
He and Tak both clutched their heads in pain, and when Zim looked up to the wall, he saw a thin crack appearing.
His eyes widened. The wall. It was breaking.
The crack got bigger and bigger, splitting the wall in two after a few seconds. Zim stared as pieces of the wall fell down, their sizes getting bigger and bigger…
Zim felt a hand grabbing his wrist. Tak pulled him beside the bed exactly on time, before the wall collapsed and chunks of it flew through the room. They hid behind the bed, holding their breaths, their irken hearts beating out of their chests.
Two more 'Ba-dunks' , and it was over. Silence finally returned as Zim and Tak shivered on the now dirty floor. They blinked their eyes and tried to cough all of the dust out of their lungs. They were both desperate to see what happened and what was behind the gaping hole in the wall, but it proved difficult to recover. Zim coughed some more and spat on the floor.
What on irk had happened?!
But suddenly, Zim's antennae jumped up. He forgot all about the dust, or Tak, or cameras that had undoubtedly seen all of this, as an all too familiar smell spread through him. He grabbed the edge of the bed, wanting- no, needing to see what had happened. Having to confirm his tiny sparks of hope.
His head finally popped up from behind the bed and he saw-
His mate stood there. Dib. His honey eyes fell on him and a toothy, big smile took over his face.
'ZIM!'
He pulled off his space helmet and dropped it without a thought. He practically ran to him, and all Zim could do was stare at him with huge, shocked eyes as Dib picked him up and swirled him around the room.
'ZIM! OH MY GOD, I FOUND YOU!'
It was amazing.
The headache, the beeping noise, the warnings from his PAK, the hopeless, gloomy feeling.. It had all disappeared the moment his mate took him in his arms. It was like he had stepped in a warm, soapy bath tub. It was the best feeling his body had ever felt, like he was high on the best drug ever made, was experiencing a thousand orgasms at the same time, had just passed the gates of heaven. It was indescribable.
Dib kissed his shoulders and neck, almost crushing his small body in his muscular arms. Zim could hear the lump in his throat as he kept on speaking to nobody in general.
'Oh my fucking- Oh God, I thought I'd never see you again, I- I found you! Zim!'
TAK
Two purple eyes spectated this scene. Tak stared, her mind putting two and two together and concluding that Zim's mate had come to the rescue. Tak tore her eyes away from Zim and his lover's embrace and instead fixed on the vehicle the human had arrived in. Quickly, she pulled on her high heels before standing up from the bed and running over the metal plate connecting the floor with the ship.
She came to a stop and looked around, recognising the ship as an irken one immediately. How the hell that human got his filthy hands on an irken vehicle was beyond her, but those were questions that should be saved for another time, as something else caught her attention.
'THEY'RE COMING!' Screamed a familiar voice back in the room. Tak ran back to see Skoodge, panicking and pushing against Zim's leg, who still was embracing Dib.
'THE GUARDS! THEY'RE COMING! YOU HAVE TO LEAVE, NOW!'
Tak agreed with that whole heartedly and ran in the ship. It turned out to be bigger than she thought, and it took her a few seconds to find the main cockpit.
She jumped in a seat and started working to get the ship up and running. They had to leave, now.
DIB
Dib hadn't noticed Tak running to his ship, but it was impossible not to notice the tiny, fat irken jumping up and down at his feet and screaming in Irken. He frowned his eyebrows, but assumed he was on their side, mainly because he hadn't blown him into pieces.
'Zim.. Zim, what is he saying?' He asked, looking down, but Zim didn't answer. He had him hooked in a tight embrace and it seemed like he wasn't about to break that any time soon. His face was buried in his chest. He didn't answer, he didn't even look up. He just held him as close as he could, almost squeezing the air in Dib's lungs out of him.
The chubby alien made it clear what he was saying. At this point, he had placed his hands on Zim's leg and just pushed with all his might. Of course, they had to leave! Soldiers or guards were about to come to arrest them, or worse..
'Zim, we have to leave!' He shouted, panic rising in his voice. He looked at his beloved mate again, who finally raised his head to look at him. His face however, wasn't shocked or scared at all. He stared at him with pure disbelief, his eyes half lidded, his mouth a little open. He placed one hand on Dib's cheek.
'This can't be..'
'ZIM!'
Zim shook his head slowly, completely ignoring both Skoodge and Dib calling out his name.
'You're not real..'
Dib shot a desperate expression at his lover, but at that point the door flew open.
ZIM
About twenty heavily armed soldiers ran in, all screaming and shouting at this sudden action. The Tallest themselves were with them, screaming orders.
'DON'T KILL THEM!' Red screamed. 'WE NEED THEM ALIVE; SHOOT THAT CREATURE!'
A thin, sharp finger was pointed to Dib, who had no idea what Red just shouted. He just stood there, clueless what to do, with Skoodge pulling on his spacesuit and Zim still locked in his chest.
However, when a few soldiers pointed their guns at them, he screamed.
'ZIM! ZIM WE HAVE TO RUN!'
Zim didn't care. He barely heard anything. All that mattered was his mate in his arms. He didn't dare let him go; what if he'd leave? Disappear into thin air? What if he'd wake up from a dream? It wouldn't be the first time..
With a loud, humming noise, the spaceship in which Dib arrived started again and was ready to fly away. Dib's panic now reached it's peak and he tugged Zim with him towards the ship.
'ZIM! SNAP OUT OF IT! WE'VE GOT TO LEA-'
That's when one of the irkens shot. The laser hit Dib's lower leg and with a scream, he collapsed, grabbing his leg with his hands.
Zim finally woke from his doze. He stared, wide eyed, at Dib clutching his bleeding leg. He snapped his head back to the soldiers and his eyes found the perpetrator, and, at that point, time stopped.
Rage unlike any form of anger consumed every single nerve in his body. His facial expression didn't even change as he started walking towards the soldier, who had spotted him and now aimed his gun at him, but didn't shoot.
Zim saw the gun tremble, the owner of it shook with fear. There was only one thing on Zim's mind: He was going to kill him. Murder him. Rip him to pieces. The thought left no space for any other emotion. He had forgotten about Tak, the Tallest, Skoodge (who was still screaming), and even Dib. He didn't care about anything but the need to see that soldier's blood flow over this metal floor.
The other soldiers backed away, all of them terrified and defenceless. Just when the soldier in question started screaming in fear, Zim attacked.
DIB
The pain in his legs made his vision blurry. Dib groaned, moaned, twisted and turned. His hands clutched his leg, everything was soaked in blood.
However, a roar unlike anything else he had heard Zim produce made him freeze on the spot. He rolled over, ever so slowly, to look at what was happening.
The sight made his stomach jump. Zim pinned one of the soldiers to the ground with his weight. The soldier screamed for a split second before Zim started scratching him. He scratched open his tunic and his skin, until the abundance of blood made it impossible to see what layer of the irken's body he was shredding through.
'ZIM!'
Dib noticed he wasn't the only one screaming out his name. The little, fat irken had joined him, pulling his own antennae in shock and panic. The taller, female alien had shown up and also tried to grab his attention, but Zim was out of control.
Before Dib's disbelieving eyes, Zim lurched down to hook his teeth in the soldier's face and rip it off all together. The eyes of the by now sure to be dead alien rolled over the floor...
'ZIM!'
Dib tried to get up, but it was next to impossible. His leg protested as soon as he moved it, and it was all he could do not to scream out in pain.
Zim's murder had caused all the other soldiers to retreat. They screamed and shouted, dropping their guns and pushing each other aside to get to the exit. Dib felt a short pang of relief, but this wasn't over quite yet.
'ZIM, STOP!' he screamed, trying his hardest to be audible over all the noise. 'HE- HE'S DEAD! ZIM, WE HAVE TO LEAVE!'
Something or someone grabbed his collar and he choked. This is it, he thought. A soldier had caught him, and he was going to shoot his brains out now. Dib didn't have enough time to look over his shoulder. He was dragged through the room, the pain in his leg reaching a peak and making him scream. Suddenly, it was over, as he landed with a loud 'bang' on the cold metal floor of the spaceship.
He gasped for air, dizzy with pain. He practically sobbed as he grabbed his leg again, raising his head high enough to see the unfamiliar female irken run out of the ship again to get Zim.
TAK
She stood still right before the nauseating scene. Zim was still ripping what was left of the soldier to pieces and seemed determined not to leave a single inch of the body intact. He hissed and roared and Tak jumped back to avoid being hit by a flying piece of squeedily spooch.
'ZIM! COME ON!' she hit his head once, but he didn't even look up. She thought quickly before making a decision.
'SKOODGE!' she screamed over her shoulder. Skoodge looked up at her, his whole body trembling.
'GET THE ENGINE RUNNING AND FLY OFF!'
'B-But my lady.. You and Zim..' he stuttered.
'JUST DO IT!'
As Skoodge ran away, Tak took both of Zim's antennae in her hands and pulled them hard.
This did grab Zim's attention. He hissed loudly and clawed at her hands, his eyes now fixed on her throat instead. He still had that murderous look on his face, the blood from the soldier dripped from his teeth and chin…
'COME ON!' Tak screamed, walking backwards, luring Zim towards the ship.
He hissed and lurched forward, but missed Tak. She turned around and ran, praying that he'd follow her.
Skoodge had obeyed, and the ship was hovering about three feet away from the room. Tak ran, launched herself and landed on the ship just in time to see Zim doing the same. His claws gripped the edge of the ship. He hissed furiously and blood splattered on the metal floor.
The human that was Zim's mate grabbed both of Zim's wrists and Tak knew both of them would be okay. The earthling will pull Zim into the ship, and Zim wouldn't attack his mate. Whether the human would be quick enough was his own problem.
She ran to the cockpit and pushed Skoodge away roughly.
'My lady! You made it!' He shouted in relief.
'Shut up! We have to get out of here!'
She searched, her eyes flying over the dashboard and looking for-
Got it.
'Hold on to something!' She screamed, as she pushed the button to close the gate. If Zim still wasn't inside by now, he would be lost.
She slammed the touchpad for supersonic speed down with her fist and in an instant, the ship shot away in the endless galaxy.
Hahahahaaaaaaa.
Long chapter for all of y'all. I've received some complaints on my plot, and even though I really appreciate getting critique, please guys: have patience. Some things will be explained on the way, like how Dib was doing for example. Please don't ask me how he got here or how he found them or something: IT WILL BE EXPLAINED!
Im not sure if I still have some followers by now, I get a lot less views than I used to and I'm writing this thing because my friends are really curious, are there still any readers here on fanfiction?
