Violet sat in a chair next to Dash's hospital bed and flipped through a magazine. Dash looked irritated. He hated being stuck in a bed. He needed to be up and moving. His sprained leg would heal up soon enough, but he was impatient. "Calm down." Violet said without even looking up from her magazine. "You'll heal up in a few minutes. Can't you try being a little patient for once?" She already knew the answer though.

Dash groaned and laid his head back on his pillow. Violet rolled her eyes. She glanced over at Antonio who was sitting on his bed and rubbing his arm. It wasn't broken, just dislocated. He didn't show much pain or distress on his face though. She wished her brother would show the same restraint.

The door opened and Margo and Edith walked in. "What's up chicken legs?" Edith asked smirking at the speedster in the room. "Oh, look at me. I'm so fast. I can run circles around these aliens. BAM! Ha-ha! Not so fast now are you?"

Dash glared at her. "Even on one leg I'm ten times faster than-OW!" He winced in pain as he tried to stand up. "When I can walk again I'm so gonna wipe that smirk off your face."

Edith stuck her tongue out at him as Margo walked over to Antonio. "Sorry about taking so long. I had to help the doctor out with Ted's injuries. He came out of battle way worse than Kristoff did. He'll be fine though." She assured.

"It's alright. I'm just glad everyone's okay." Antonio said. "Besides, it's just a dislocation. I've had these plenty of times before."

Margo smiled. "Okay then. I'll just get a sling on it and- Edith, now!" Her younger sister ran behind Antonio and grabbed his shoulders. She pushed him down onto his bed and pinned him there. Before he could even register what was happening, Margo raised her hand.

There was a loud popping sound and both Violet and Dash winced. "Dios Mio!" Antonio shouted grabbing his shoulder. "OW! Por que?!"

"Sorry, sorry. It's just that most people struggle when you pop a dislocation back in and we didn't have the manpower to hold you down." Margo explained. She didn't like using her powers in such a way, but it was much quicker than doing it herself. Or letting Eep do it. She still remembered the eager smile she had on her face when she volunteered.

Antonio rubbed his shoulder before turning to Edith. "You seemed a little eager to catch me off guard like that." She just shrugged and smirked at him. "Whatever. Where's Wilbur. I heard them say something about time travel, and I want to be clear on what's going on." He was pretty sure what was going on, but he wanted to be exact.

"I think he's in the training room blowing off some steam. He wanted to go out and look for those guys, but they said we should just wait for now." Margo explained.

"Thanks." He said getting up.

He headed for the door, but Margo grabbed his hand. "Wanna hang out after this? We could catch a movie or something?" He heard her voice ask in his head.

He was silent for a moment. "Yeah, sure." With that he walked out. He hadn't let the small smile grow on his face until he walked out of the room. He didn't want the others to know. Not because he was embarrassed… okay, maybe he was a little. But they would have made a huge deal out of it and he didn't feel like dealing with it.

Violet got up as well. "I'm going to go check on Wilbur too. When he gets all emotional like this he goes off and does something stupid… then again he'll probably do something stupid and reckless anyway." She muttered following Antonio out.

Margo left out as well to go check on some of the others. Dash seemed fine, and she was pretty sure the doctors could use her help. After they left Edith groaned. "I can't believe my sister is dating that clown." She whined.

Dash looked at her surprised. "Wait? You mean Margo and Antonio? Since when were those two going out together?" He asked confused.

Edith raised an eyebrow at him. "Seriously? I know I'm not the type of girly girl that gets into this stuff, but even I can tell they have a thing going on. And did you see the way that she grabbed his hand just now?"

"Nope." Dash said.

She shook her head. "Unbelievable. You probably don't even notice that thing going on with your sister and Wilbur." She said taking a seat next to his bed.

Dash frowned. "I noticed. Every time they're around each other they flirt and stare at each other like their married or something. It's gross." He said crossing his arms. "What is it with love always making people act stupid all the time? It's crazy."

"Says the guy who flirts with every girl in the school." Edith muttered.

Dash smirked. "Jealous?" He asked.

Edith scowled towards him, but then smirked. She stood up and leaned towards him. "Now why would I be jealous when I have you here all to myself?" She asked leaning in closer.

Dash was totally taken aback. Was she… was she flirting with him? Why was she leaning towards him? Was she planning on kissing him? "Wait, hold on, what are you-?"

She suddenly reached forward and flicked his forehead. "Ha! You must be out of your mind to think I'd really kiss you! Newsflash, hell hasn't frozen over Parr!" She said standing up.

Dash watched as she walked off laughing. He couldn't believe she had just done that. He also couldn't believe he had fallen for it. He glared at her as she left. If she wanted to play dirty, then he'd play dirty. This was most definitely not over.

Anna was angry. Very angry. Not only because she had been hurt, but because a number of her friends had been bruised and battered as well. She'd laid there, powerless, while they had beat up her teammates. She tightened her grip on the side of her bed, easily imprinting her fingers on the metal bed frame. "Anna, calm down."

She looked down at Kristoff who was laying in his bed. He had a neck brace on and bandages around his chest. She looked at him worriedly, but if he was in any pain he didn't show it. "Calm down? What do you mean calm down? Don't you remember what happened?"

He looked at her as if she was crazy. "Do I remember being slammed into the ground and having my neck nearly broken by a giant alien? No, I have absolutely no memory of that whatsoever." He said sarcastically. Anna pouted at him. "Look, getting worked up over it isn't going to help. Just take a breather and-"

"They shut down my powers Kristoff. My powers. And they did it so easily too. I mean I'm strong enough to lift up a skyscraper, but one little beam completely shut me down. I've never felt so powerless in my life." She said tugging on her pigtails. The blonde boy chuckled, and she looked at him surprised. "You think this is funny?"

He nodded. "Yeah I do. Never felt more powerless? You spent a good chunk of your life without powers to begin with. I think you're exaggerating." He said.

Anna cross her arms childishly. "Am not." Okay, maybe she was exaggerating a little, but she couldn't help it. She was Ultra-Girl. The unstoppable force of the team. She could smash through buildings and snatch bullets from the air. If things got hairy, they called her in because they knew once she got there, the fight was pretty much won.

But if they could stop her, if one little laser beam could bring her down, then what good was she? What if the team needed her but she was down on the ground powerless? Her sister had left her, afraid of what she considered a curse. Her cousin Rapunzel had retired and left to who knows where, never considering herself hero material to begin with.

She had no family left. Only her friends and her powers to rely on. And now both of those things were being threatened. "Anna." She looked up again and saw Kristoff staring at her with concern. "Anna, are you okay?" He asked worriedly.

Anna realized her cheeks were wet and quickly wiped the tears away. "No, everything is fine. I just… I'm scared." She admitted. She wasn't afraid of telling Kristoff how she felt. They were a couple after all, and there was really nothing she was reluctant to share with him. "And I miss them, and I feel bad for not beating those guys, and everyone could be in trouble-"

Kristoff held up his hand. "Anna, first of all it's okay to be scared. I get scared sometimes. Even if you're the strongest person on the team your still my girlfriend, and I get worried about you." He said grabbing her hand. She smiled sweetly at him. "And I know you miss Elsa and Rapunzel, but I'm sure you'll cross paths again. And when you do I'll be there to help you patch things up."

"You also shouldn't be feeling bad about what happened. No one is expecting you to take down every single bad guy you come across Anna. We're a team. That means we back each other up, no one goes in alone." He explained. "Now stop being so down. Can't have our heavy hitter feeling out of it next time we run into them."

Anna smiled and nodded. "Thanks. You always know just what to say." She said leaning down and kissing him. "When you get out of that neck brace we're going on a date. This time it's totally your pick, and I'm paying." She said happily.

Kristoff chuckled. Despite Anna's wealth Kristoff usually insisted on paying for their dates. But if letting her pay this time would make her feel better he'd cave. Besides, his wallet was getting a little lighter lately. Not that he would let Anna know that. "Sounds great." He said.

Wilbur swung at the punching bag with a mean look on his face. He knew the adults had been right. He knew hiding was the best move right now. But he was still mad about it. He wanted to be out there dealing with Scourge and the others, not stuck in here doing nothing. The longer they were out there running free, the more his friend were in danger.

Wilbur didn't like the idea of his friends or innocent people being put at risk because of him. He had been responsible for his friends and families lives before. And as much as he hated recalling the memories, he had been responsible both directly and indirectly for some of their deaths. He didn't want that to happen. Not now. Not with the team.

Maybe it was spending a year with them that had re-sensitized him again, but the thought of losing them hurt him more than it did before. They had become like family to him.

"You're really doing a number on that thing."

He quickly turned around and spotted Violet. She was smirking at him, and was dressed in her sparring gear. "Yeah well… I'm just pretending its Scourge's face. Makes for a great motivator."

Violet nodded. "I get that. Sometimes I pretend its Syndrome's face."

"Here to make sure I don't do anything reckless?" He asked.

"Of course I did. Antonio was going to come too, but I told him I had it covered. Besides, I think he had a date." She explained.

Wilbur didn't have to ask to know who Antonio was going on a date with. He was glad his friend was taking his advice and finally going for it. "Good for him." He said preparing to take another swing at the punching bag. He didn't want to seem rude, but his mind was still pretty cluttered right now. And punching this bag was the only thing that could help.

"Hey, give the bag a break and go a few rounds with me." Violet said giving him a playful jab in the back. Wilbur stopped and turned towards her surprised. "I do mean the ring just so you know." She said winking at him.

He kept staring at her a little while and then smirked back. "I don't know. Does little Ms. Force Field really think she can keep up with me in hand to hand combat?" He asked.

"I don't need powers to keep up with you Robinson." She knew Wilbur liked to spar. Not because he liked fighting in particular, but because he liked showing off his skills. Violet was guilty of humoring him every now and then. She knew making his already large ego bigger was probably a bad idea, but she liked seeing him happy.

Wilbur allowed himself to forget about his troubles for now. He usually enjoyed just having Vi around when he was sparing. He got to show his moves for her. But he did like sparring with her as well. Sparring with her was more like dancing than fighting. And he wasn't ashamed to admit, at least not to himself, that he enjoyed the close contact with her.

The two stepped into the ring. They didn't bother putting on protective gear. Neither of them would be throwing any serious punches. Both of them took their fighting stances. "Ladies first." Wilbur said signaling for her to come. Violet smiled before moving forward. She threw a few punches witch Wilbur easily dodged. "Stepping too much into your punches."

As if to prove his point he reached out and grabbed her wrist before twisting her arm behind her back. "Reel back a little. Wide swing leave you open." He instructed. Violet blushed as she felt his breath ticking her ear. She nodded and Wilbur let her go. She took a few feet back. He signaled her to come again.

She charged at him again and threw a couple more punches. Wilbur easily knocked them aside. In a real fight there was probably no way he could take on Violet. At least not without his gadgets to back him up. But in close combat he was arguably the best on the team. Okay, it was a close call between him and Antonio.

Wilbur caught her fist again and pulled her forward, wrapping his arm around her waist. "You really do have good stance, but it needs to be more firm." He said pulling her a little closer.

Violet looked down with a shy smile. Wilbur always did like to flirt when they were sparring, and he was incredibly good at making her blush. She liked to flirt sometimes too, but she wasn't nearly as good at it as he was. What she was good at however were sneak attack. "Like this?" She asked before slipping her foot behind his.

She pushed him forward and Wilbur fell onto his back. Before he could get up Violet jumped on top of him, grabbed his collar, and raised her fist above him. Wilbur shook his head and then looked up at Violet who was grinning down at him. "I win." She said simply.

Wilbur chuckled. "That was a pretty good move Parr. You really have been practicing. But don't get cocky…" Suddenly, before Violet knew what had happened, she found herself being flipped over. Wilbur was now on top of her, pinning her down. "…I'm the best."

Violet rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I'm the one being cocky."

"Say Uncle."

"In your dreams."

The both of them had grins on their faces. They both knew Violet could knock him off with a force field if she wanted too. But neither of them really wanted that. This was why they loved sparring in the ring together. They could forget about everything outside of these four corners. No aliens, no time travel, just them.

Wilbur stared down at her. Between the adrenaline of the fight and being on top of her, he definitely wasn't thinking clearly. Which is probably why he had ignored the little voice in his head that was telling him not to kiss her. Violet looked surprised, but didn't resist when he'd leaned down and press his lips against her. It didn't take long for her to return the kiss.

Neither of them really kept track of how long they had kissed, and they didn't care. Right now the only thing Wilbur cared about was her. Her lips had tasted just as sweet as he'd always imagined they had, and they were even softer. He stopped for a moment to catch his breath, but it didn't last long.

Violet's heart was beating ten times faster than it usually was. She'd had day dreams about this every now and then, but none of them did it justice. A part of her always thought Wilbur wasn't really as good at kissing as he always joked, but he was definitely proving her wrong.

Reality seemed to snap back in, and Wilbur's eyes shot open. He quickly stopped and rose up to his feet before backing away. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! No, nope! This did not just happen!"

Violet grew wide eyed. "Uh-oh." She said touching her lips. It had just sunken in what they'd just done. "Wilbur…?" She said looking up at him.

Wilbur stopped and stared towards her. He wasn't sure what was going through her mind right now, but he could only pray it was the same thing he was thinking. That this was a mistake. "Violet, I… you know that we can't… oh Christ." He said running his hands through his hair.

Violet looked down sadly. "Wilbur, I know." She said sighing. "We just got a little too heated and in the moment. That's all." The best thing they could do was pretend that this didn't happen. The only other option was going over what they already knew.

Wilbur frowned. He could see the hurt look in her eyes. He wanted to say something, but he didn't know what he could say they both didn't know already. "Violet…"

She raised her hand up. "I'm going to go wash up. I'll… see you later."

Wilbur watched as she left out of the training room. He balled his fist up and punched the corner of the ring. As if things were complicated enough already. Now he had even more to worry about. "Being a time traveler sucks…"

A/N: Another chapter. This one is focused more on romance though. The last chapter was pretty action heavy, so I figured I'd give our heroes a break and cool down.

I hope you guys liked the banter between Dash and Edith. I can see them just teasing and getting on each others nerves like that. Kind of like a certain couple from young justice. 'Cough cough' Spitfire 'Cough'!

Shifting a bit of the focus to Anna as well. She'll be a main character in a future story later, so I wanted to get a little deeper into her character. And as far as Antonio and Margo go... c'mon you guys knew it was coming. We'll find out how their date went next chapter.

And a moment of Wilbur/Violet. But it didn't go down exactly how they wanted it now did they? How will they be able to get past this little moment hm? Find out next chapter! Leave a review!
