A/N:
Hey, guys. I know it's been a long, long time since I've updated, and I assure you that there is a reason for this. I have given this a lot of consideration, and I have come to the conclusion that this story is pretty bad.
You might say "Oh, no it's not!" or "Hell yeah it is" and I would have to agree to both. To my younger self, this story was the bomb dot com. I loved writing this and seeing where these characters took me, but as it turned out they took me on a path that, frankly, would worry my parents. The original ending to this story involved unnecessary plot twists, underdeveloped romantic subplots, and over 10k words of physical, emotional, and psychological torture. Yikes.
I have set up the story to the point where I have very limited amounts of what I can change without wasting a shit-ton of foreshadowing. Also I have no idea how to
And so it is for this reason that the Wrath of Asgard will no longer be updating.
But wait! There's more!
I would never dream of leaving you guys hanging! Here is a summary of what was supposed to happen after this chapter:
The crew (I really needed to find a name for them) teleports to Asgard, where they somehow sneak into the dungeons and manage to find Loki, who is apparently still locked up.
It is revealed, for literally no reason, that Hel and Sky were switched at birth. Hel is really Nik's biological sister, and Sky is the brainwashed death goddess.
(Insert sounds of shock and amazement hear)
(I really don't know why this was necessary. Was it plot relevant? There was going to be a mini-sequel in which Hel retaught Sky how to rule the underworld and stuff. Was it for that? Was it for the lols? The world may never know.)
(But hey, I tried to foreshadow it. Was it too obvious/not obvious enough/just right? Let me know!)
They also learn that "Haha yeah it's def Ramyr that stole ur parents good luck lmao"
And then Loki also gets kidnapped (but this is after they go home so they don't know)
So anyway they go home and stuff and have a brief crisis. You know, nothing that a little more bonding can't fix.
The Warriors Three + Sif think for some reason that it was the kids who stole Loki and Thor. So they decide, hey, do you know what would be fun? Kicking the crud out of these teenagers who probably did nothing wrong.
That was where the title came from. The Wrath of Asgard. Or, you know, at least four Asgardians. Whatever.
The crew preps for the Big Fight. In the original original draft, Mary Anne slapped Hel in the face. It was very dramatic. But eventually she ends up locking Travis in a closet to keep him out of the line of fire and Hel keeps an eye on him. They're bros.
During this big fight, they slowly start getting picked off one by one by Ramyr, until they're all kidnapped and the Warriors Three + Sif are left saying "Gosh dang where did these rotten kids get off to this time"
Now, this is the big finale chapter. I wrote this part before I wrote any of the rest of this story. It was long, brutal, and graphic, and I will spare you most of the details, except for some:
Sage vs claustrophobia vs "Ur parents were alive but they gave u up and u had a brother but he died muahahaha" "nooooo"
"No one likes u Jeremy also here have another scar u didn't need. It's in the shape of a rune that means fear. ur welcome."
"Tara u have to rule the new world with me but dont say anything bc ur too sassy" I know. I regret this too. I had no idea why I did that at all
"Nik, you love your sister, right? This one right here? Gee, it would be a shame if something were to brutally injure her to the point where her head injuries were so severe that she looses her eyesight"
Kid you not
And then Mary Anne's freaking out and stuff because the bodiless spirit of Ramyr was living inside her mind for years, amplifying her already present fear, eventually making his escape during her Asgard visit (remember that?)
And then Hel and Travis show up and try to roll the Cap shield to her so she can fight him, but instead Hel gets beaten up and Ramyr threatens to hurt Travis. That's when he really crossed a line.
Mary Anne gives this huge badass speech about how she's no longer afraid, and Ramyr looses his power (temporarily) and she kicks his ass. It's wonderful.
Oh yeah, and Ramyr had some evil, sinister plot going this whole time to terrorize the entire earth and feed off of it's fear in order to gain enough power to control the nine realms, but they shut it down pretty quickly.
They are all (Including the Avengers) rescued by Alexander, Gwen, and Michael. Everything is happy-happy.
So there you have it: how this story was going to end. I will soon be recycling these characters and sticking them into a new plotline, with better characterization, less plot holes, and significantly more lesbians. Also, read on for more bonus facts and summaries of my newer, fresher, and oncoming next-gen stories! Featuring the children of the Winter Soldier, Spider-Man, and Falcon, and also Sage's mutant brother, who is miraculously Not Dead! Woo hoo!
It's been a great pleasure working on this story and hearing from all of you. I can't thank you enough for the positive comments and support. Thank you for reading, and I hope you will continue to do so.
Many thanks once again,
TheFabulousMe
