Chapter 14: Trojan horse

Wolfenstein Prison Camp, Hussaf Island off the East of the Kingdom of Acorn
Weather: Clear sky
Situation: A catastrophe has happened to Silver's assassination attemp on Ramon Cortez, the Freedom Fighter has detained him in Wolfenstein prison camp where Ramon has set up plan to leak sensitive documents about detainees inside the camp for being Naugus's political enemies.
Wolfenstein prison camp isn't a place that can be call humane rehab facility, here detainees are not arrested and trialed by courts of law but rather kidnapped from their homes or neighbors, pull into dark vans and transported to this hell hole with a bag on his head. Beating, torture, forced confessions and other brutal inhumane imprisonment methods are applied to full effect here. More than half of the prisoners here are dissidents who asked for Naugus to reform the current goverment to be more liberal toward the people, individuals who have talents and hearts to serve their Kingdom, but Naugus turned a deaf ear to their words and the hands of tyrant to their throats. Cells are not like ordinary prison cells, but just animal cages to lock up prisoners like animals in the zoo, and all the prisoners were force to stay under the scorching sun beating down their back, waiting for the moment that one of them would break, then they would confess anything to the guards in exchange for their freedom from this hell. But today, the prison's secrets is about to be expose to the public, not by journalists, not by the legal investigation force, but by the enemy of the Kingdom.
As Ramon Cortez being brought to his interrogation room, both sides are guards to keep prisoners in order and Ramon handcuffed. Despite the presence of armed guards, the prisoners cheer, they cried out slogans of freedom and revolutions. "Viva la revolucion! (Long live the revolution!) Liberta o muerte! (Freedom or death!) Allahu Akbar! (God is mighty!)" They all shouting slogans like that, even more ethusiastic then ever, there was something not right. Like as if Ramon was letting himself being captured in here in the first place but they can't tell what's his intention. Finally they passed the cell blocks into Ramon's interrogation room where Antoine Depardieu himself would try to interrogate the terrorist leader himself. "Zis is gud zat zou do not talk. Ve can take our time!" Antoine speaks his signature pseudo French accent to the Hispanic terrorist then punch Ramon in the face. Unfaze by Antoine's action, Ramon made his demand calmly like nothing happen. "I will speak only to Sonic Hedgehog, bring him to me. And i will tell him everything." Finding no way to force Ramon to talk to Antoine, the coyote was forced to call in Sonic and Tails to do the interrogation, "Find out whatever zou can from him. I will be with ze pwincess in the server room." then Sonic and Tails came into the interrogation room with the blue Hedgehog sitting in front of Ramon and Tails standing by the wall.
"Okay buddy, ready to spill the beans?" Sonic arrogantly get his feet up on the table in front of Ramon, taunting the terrorist to reveal his secrets. "Mi hermana (My sister). She was the only thing that drove me to live." Ramo's face was lifting up a little to look at Sonic face to face like a man. "Is that it? So anti climatic, i was expecting more. Say it already! You got something in store aren't you?!" Sonic suddenly burst into anger and yammering his senseless impatient nature into Ramon's face. All the more reason for the Hispanic terrorist to relax and stay calm.
"He took them away from me. My family, Madre (Mother), mi padre (my father) y ahora mi hermana (and now my sister). They were all that i lived for, and yet he show us no relent to seize absolute power. He destroy my home, my village, my sister. The hacienda i built to keep her safe ws burn to the ground and i was left to suffer for nearly 4 decades because of him. Opulence is sinful, Sonic. I mete and dole to unequal law unto a savage race." Ramon's sudden quoting of the Odysseus epic starts to arrouse questions inside Sonic's head. What was he meaning by saying what he said. Then the answer came soon enough. "Sonic, we got a truck parking next to the power station of the camp. Got some suspicious activi..." The camp guard said to Sonic on his intercom while he and his teammates were investigating a white civilian pickup truck when suddenly, the truck exploded, killing the guards on the outside along with the camp's primary power station.
Back in the interrogation room, the light bulb was flicking on and off, the ground was shaking by tremor of the blast. "We're underattack! Tails, stay here and watch Ramon, if he make a move put a bullet in his head!" Sonic then stand up and went to the door way, but as soon as he open the door, he heard sounds of a struggle and the voice of Tails, calling out to him for help. Sonic turns around and see Ramon holds Tails at gunpoint, threatening the hedgehog not to make a move or the twin tails fox die. "If you move a muscle i will kill this fox. You have five seconds to comply, cuff yourself and turn around." Sonic was shocked, surprise that how fast Ramon Cortez has disarmed Tails and use him as a hostage. "How diid you...Fine." Sonic reluctantly cuffed himself then turn around leaving Ramon to knock Tails then himself unconscious and runaway. For how long Sonic was out wasn't clear, but the blue hedgehog heard a voice, someone was tending to him. Sonic opens his eyes to see a white hedgehog with a crown like quill, his eyes were golden, he was wearring all black combat suit with on his torso area were magazines for his Goblin PDW.
"Silver!? Wat'cha doing here?" Sonic asked in surprise, confuse at the mess that's unfolding before him. "No time to explaine Sonic, but i think you just open the Pandora Box. Ramon was using you to get into the Wolfenstein prison camp so he can bust out dissidents and sympathizers. It's gonna be one helluva photo op for Ramon. We need to stop him from get into the server room!" Silver then led Sonic and Tails out of the interrogation room out to the hallway, "Contact, hostiles in front of us on the catwalk and down below!" Silver called out targets to Sonic and Tails, they all slide into cover, Silver and Sonic peek out with their weapons at the ready then pull the trigger letting the bullets flied to the enemies. But to their shock, their enemies aren't terrorist fighters or bribed mercenaries, but the prison guards themselves. Can it be that Ramon has bought out the prison guards and staffs before the breakout? "Ramon must have bought these guys big time. I hate to kill to our own boys." Sonic added comment to the situation, as the three move up shooting any oppositions dead, they rush up to the security control room to bring the prison into total lockdown.
"This is councilman/wardent of Wolfenstein prison camp Hamlin Pig to all active personel of Task Force Bahamut, the prison is in total riot and i want it all under control right now. All security personel are authorized to use lethal force." Hamlin then unwittingly open the armory access for the security personel without knowing that more than half of the prison's security personel have gone rogue. To make matters worse, the security personel then opens the cells and free all the prisoners to armed themselves with what ever weapons they can acquired in the armory. "
The prisoners are armed! Damn that Hamlin, can he do something good for once?" Silver cursed loudly at the situation as the prisoners and security personel began to converge on them with all the heavy weapons from the armory. "Grenade out." Sonic threw a grenade into the enemies positions on the catwalk. "Grenade move!" The guards and rioting prisoners were blow apart by the frag grenade, but that wasn't enough, the prisoners showed highly adapting skills in Guerrilla Warfare, they tossed flashbang into the where the three were hiding then charge up as soon the flashbang was detonated, they flank around the three ready to finish up the brave warfighters. "C2, i need some help here, where is the rest of the team?" Silver called out for help on his secured line with Nicole. "They're right on top of you." With only one replied from Nicole, the roof above them suddenly blew apart, then came Shard, Elias and the twins Leeta and Lyco rappeling down upside down shooting up all the enemies that were surrounding Silver, Sonic and Tails.
"Good to see you guys made it. Where's Joker?" Silver asked half relief at Shard The Metal Sonic, "He's on post on a palm tree somewhere." the robotic hedgehog replied with a smug, still cocky after his impressive entrance. When Tails sees Shard, he was astonished to see the robotic hedgehog again, "Shard, is that really you? I thought we'd never see you again." Tails excited at Shard leaving Sonic in full confuse at the sight before his eyes. "Will somebody tell me what's going on!?" He yelled out in short temper. But no one can answer his question at this moment. "We'll tell you later, come one we need to get to the security control room. And get this whole place in total lockdown." Elias cuts in to the awkward silence, he led everyone fighting through the the cell block areas through to the security control room where Shard plugs his USB wire into the computer panel, he surfs through the security systems, in and out of nexus and folders, Shard tries to find the right protocol to lock down the whole facility and prevent jail break.
"Sonic look! It's Ramon he's right outside of the server room." Tails made a terrorfying discovery when everybody follows his finger to the security monitor screen, there was Ramon standing outside the server room with three of his henchmen. While then inside the server Hamlin tries to reboot the entire security system of the prison. "The whole system is down councilor Hamlin, rebooting is a big risk, we don't even know if it's gonna be back online." Rotor nervously explained the status of camp Wolfenstein's security system when Hamlin still insists on rebooting everything. "Better to have no system than the one that's destroying my whole camp." Reluctantly Rotor gives in to Hamlin's demand and let Hamlin swipe his ID card on the computer terminal and turn off the whole security system of the prison. By turning off the security system, the reinforced security door of the server room opens up, letting Ramon Cortez and his troops waltz right in.
"On the floor now! Nobody moves or this pig gets it!" Ramon's mercenaries threatens Sally, Bunnie, Rotor and Antoine. They couldn't do anything but to throw down their weapons and face down on the ground. Hamlin still stands defiantly at Ramon he grinds his piggy jaws together then he swung a fist at Ramon. But the Overlander was much faster and much more agile than the pig, Ramon quickly derailed Hamlin's fist away then Ramon fires a bullet from his USP Tactical pistol at Hamlin's knee, injuring the Mobian pig. "If we succeed today then Hamlin would know why i didn't kill him when i had the chance to do so." Ramon explained to the shock freedom fighters that are now his hostages, he sits down and began to gain access to the highest security folders of Hamlin, using a USB packed with SpyWares programs plugged into the computer terminal, Ramon gain access into a folder of Hamlin Pig's activities in the camp. The folder was labeled "Detainees details" and Ramon immediately grab the folder's content and flood its informations on the internet, exposing the reality of the Wolfenstein's prison camp.
Watching everything from the camera screen, Sonic was horrified at what was happening inside the server room. He coiled himself up and cut down the airduct and went through the air duct with Tails and Silver followed by Shard the Metal Sonic. When they got to the server room, Ramon was gone, nowhere to be found. But he left Sally and her friends in deep trouble. As Sonic tend to Sally, seeing if she is injured, or being harmed by anyway, Tails, Shard and Rotor look in awe at the computer screen which said "Data Successfully Sent". "Oh no, this is what he was looking for. With this he can instigate a full blown revolution and overthrow Naugus no prob." Rotor said in horror, he was shivering at the sight of what would it be like if Ramon can call upon an uprising in Mobotropolis. "We gotta get out of here and stop Cortez before he can finish what he started! Let's get to the helipad! Godfather this is King, we need immediate extraction for us and Task Force Bahamut's Freedom Fighter Team ASAP. LZ is set at LZ Rafael. Over."; "Copy that King, we got a CH47 Chinook is coming in for your pickup callsign Red Hawk. Get to the LZ fast, hostiles are converging on your location like ants on sugar. Move it!" Harvey then sent out Pierre D'coolette/Depardieu the pilot of Knothole Force to fly out in a CH47 Chinook out to the prison camp of Wolfenstein.
As the ground team got to the LZ, they set up defensive positions around the helipad, holding out wave after wave of rogue security personel and terrorists that broke out of their cell blocks. After fighting back the enemies for an intense a minute and a half, their extraction bird has arrive. "Jack, get on the 240 and cover us!" Silver shouted out to Shard as the robotic hedgehog ran on the helicopter's ramp and armed the M240 machine gun mounted on the ramp, Shard then proceeds to lay down motivating suppressive fire on the enemies as his teammates enter the chopper, one by one the freedom fighters and his fellow teammates were finally all aboard and are ready to go. "Alright all BLUFOR is onboard and ready to go. Get us out of here Pierre." Lyco signal Pierre Depardieu to get his chopper airborne and get the hell out of dodge at the prison camp, she and her sister Leeta then fire off the two M134 miniguns mounted on the side of the helicopter keeping attacking hostiles away from them as Pierre fly them back to a safe location outside of Mobotropolis.
"Team i afraid i have some bad news." Harvey Who begins to address the situation that he, Nicole and Sir Charles were monitoring. "Ramon Cortez's revolution isn't being conducted by the Consortium, but by the Royal Military. We have radio traffick indicates that the home guard formations, the 82nd Airborne Corp and the 21st Mechanized Division has staged a Coup, they've taken over over 2/3 of the city that's include the surbudant area. The loyalists are reconsulidating their positons around Frederick Airport. Reinforcements from abroad are coming in to bring down the uprising but we need to secure some High Value Targets. Joker, Jack you two are on scout sniper duty. Red Hawk drop them off at LZ Vegas, their mission is to provide overwatch sniper support to relief the convoy carrying king Maximillian Acorn queen Alicia and the Hedgehogs resident. Make me proud Godfather out."
As the silent descent down into the passenger cabin of the CHinook, the masked special operators decided to reveal themselves to the Freedom Fighters. First it was Elias reveals himself to Sally and Sonic, the loving Hedgehog-chipmunk couple were completely stunned to see dethroned King Elias Acorn was the one who leads their rescue. Then Silver, Larry and Shard introduce themselves to Rotor, Sally, Sonic, Tails, Antoine and Bunny. The cabin soon filled with chatters and sounds of family and friend talks between the freedom fighters and the Knothole Force. They talked all kinds of things but mainly about each other's activities pararel with the others. Antoine was rather stunned to see his distant cousin, Pierre Depardieu. Antoine sits near the cockpit within voice range of Pierre, and the two coyote chatters away about how distant their respective families were to each other.
