A/N: This is gonna be a boring author's note. There's nothing to say other than thanks to everyone that's read and reviewed. So, thanks! :)
Actually, it's not a boring author's note… I wasn't planning on this story getting as long as it is, now. And I just gotta say that it means a lot to me that you guys are still reading this story. As long as you guys keep reviewing, I'm gonna keep this story going. So, don't forget to review, if you want this story to continue. Or. If you guys think that it's getting too out of hand.
Anyways, on with the chapter!
Chapter Fourteen:
Once Kendall and Carlos were far enough away from James and Logan, Carlos had decided to ask Kendall where they wanted to go. Now, maybe he was a little eager to spend time alone with Kendall that he forgot about the plans to going to the movies; but honestly, could you blame him? Alright, so, maybe Carlos shouldn't be as eager as he was now, but he couldn't help it. He and Kendall were gonna be alone together, and nothing was going to stop him from doing what he planned on doing.
Carlos was always a very observant person, not that many people knew that, and he had been even more observant towards the blond the last couple months. So, when he had noticed that Kendall was always jealous of Logan and James, but very clingy when it came to him, Carlos couldn't help but realize what was going on in Kendall's head.
Kendall wasn't the only one that was jealous of Logan and James, really, because Carlos had wanted to be with someone that he was able to spend time with the way that the two of them do. And Carlos had actually developed a small crush on the blond over the years of their friendship. Carlos had gotten a little upset about the Dak incident last year, but really, Carlos couldn't blame Kendall for it. Kendall had grown up being told the liking the same sex was wrong. So, Carlos never pushed Kendall into anything. Or. Never asked Kendall about it; the Dak incident.
And Carlos, as they made their way down the street towards the movie theater, found himself getting nervous about tonight; because he had planned on doing something about their little crush on the other. But he could shake the feeling of something going wrong tonight; whether it was between him and Kendall or James and Logan, he didn't know. All he knew was that he had a gut feeling and he didn't want to do something unordinary so nothing happened. Between him and Kendall, at least.
So, throughout the movie, Carlos kept his hand to himself and kept thinking that something was happening between James and Logan. Which actually started to scare him a little. He didn't know how the two of them acted around each other when they were alone, and something said that he might not be thinking this through the way that he should.
"Kendall, I feel like we should go check up on Logan and James…" Carlos said as they made their way out of the theater and walked over to Kendall's car.
"Carlos, do you really want to walk in on whatever they could be doing at this moment?" Kendall asked, looking over towards Carlos with a look that clearly meant that Kendall wasn't about to listen to whatever Carlos had to say.
So, Carlos shook his head and decided not to worry about it. They'd be able to worry tomorrow, when James and Logan weren't most likely doing something that clearly wasn't meant for anyone else to walk in on.
Once they reached Kendall's car, Carlos had declared that he was starving. So, when they got into the car and Kendall turned the in the ignition, they made their way through the town towards the little pizza place that was by their school. They had gotten out of the car and started walking towards the door to the building, when Kendall got a phone call from Logan. Kendall gave a glance towards Carlos before answering the phone call.
"Kendall, you need to get here, now." Logan said after Kendall greeted him.

Turns out Carlos was right about something happening with James and Logan; which Kendall was surprised about. It wasn't anything that really happened between them, though; it was more like it happened between James and his mother's boyfriend, and Logan was kind of stuck in the middle.
When Kendall and Carlos had showed up at James' house, they were told that James had told Logan to stay in his room; but when Logan had heard something coming from the house, Logan had gone to investigate. And what Logan saw was something that Logan didn't expect to see, but it didn't stop Logan from jumping in the middle of them. James was pushed up against the wall, and Logan had jumped up between them to stop Josh from hitting James again. So, instead of hitting James in the face, Josh had ended up hitting Logan in the face.
After they had been told what happened, Kendall immediately went to find the first aid kit. He had helped James first; Logan had begged him to, while James had begged him not to. James was worse than Logan, having a busted lip and a couple bruises on his face. It took only a couple minutes to clean James up, and Kendall instantly went to Logan to try and cover up the bruise that was already forming on his eye.
"Logan, why does it seem like you can't go a couple weeks without getting hit in the face?" Kendall asked once he gave up on covering the bruise.
Logan shrugged his shoulders and looked away from Kendall to look at James, who was looking in his mirror with a disgusted look on his face. Logan laughed, and walked over to him and took the mirror out of his hands. Setting down the mirror on the couch cushion next to James, Logan crawled up onto James' lap and quickly reached his hands up to caress James face.
Rubbing his thumb over the cut on James' lip, Logan said, "No need to get disgusted with your face, James. You're beautiful."
"So, I guess, the night went good between you two? Well, aside from the problem with Josh?" Kendall asked.
They both nodded, not looking away from each other.
"Yeah, as much as the two of you are cute, I don't wanna see anything happen." Carlos said, a little smile on his face.
Logan finally broke the stare, looking up at Carlos and blushing a little and buried his head in James' chest. James laughed and quickly wrapped his arms around Logan's waist.
"What're we gonna do with you, Logan?" James asked, kissing Logan on the head.
Quiet enough for James only to hear, Logan asked, "Love me?" It was muffled; but by the fact that James tightened his grip on Logan, Logan knew that James heard him. And it made him smile that James didn't push him away or laugh at him.
"I can do that." James said with a smile on his face.
James was very happy with his life at the moment. Well, aside from Josh hitting him and Logan. Which he'd have to get Josh back for even touching Logan, but at the moment he was content with where he was; he didn't want to move. Ever. He'd be happy for the rest of his life, sitting here with Logan in his arms. James was pretty sure that he was falling in love with Logan, because he was completely infatuated by the nerdy brunet that was in his lap at the moment.

The next day, Logan had gotten a call from his mother. She had mentioned that her parents were coming into town tonight and were staying at their house, instead of renting a hotel room like they usually did. But that wasn't the bad part about the whole thing. What was, was that his mother's parents were old fashioned; which meant they didn't believe that people should be dating the same sex. And so, Logan wasn't allowed to see James unless they stayed as far away from each other as possible.
Logan didn't know why his grandparents were coming to town. From what his mother told him, though, they actually didn't have a reason. Which seemed slightly stupid, because they were spending all this money, for no reason, to see their daughter. Well, when you put it like that, it makes some sort of sense, Logan decided. But he didn't like that he had to hide who he was, just because they didn't like the real him.
Logan decided that the week that they were gonna be here, was far too long to go from seeing James. So, Logan informed James and the other two about what was going on. And. He also mentioned that they didn't like gays. Which James seemed a little disappointed about, because he knew that it meant they couldn't act the way they usually did. But James figured that if he couldn't pass this week, then Logan would never decide to agree on really dating him. So, James just had to suck it up and act like he was interested in someone that wasn't Logan; a girl, no less.
XxX
Logan was slightly surprised that James, Kendall, and Carlos agreed on eating dinner with them. But he was happy, because he could forget about pretending that he was interested in girls, instead of guys.
"So, Logan, tell us. You got a girl that you're ready to marry?" Logan's grandfather asked after they all had gotten their food and were starting to eat.
One thing aside from the fact that they weren't open-minded to gays, was that they believed in getting married as soon as possible and starting a family. They liked starting a family before you turn twenty-one, which was how old they were when they got married.
"Oh, well…" Logan said, unsure of what to say. "I'm not ready to get married."
"What?" his grandfather asked in a voice that was a little shocked and more than a little pissed off. But that didn't stop Logan from saying it again. "What do you mean, you're not ready to get married?" he scoffed, "Of course you are! We got married at twenty-one, you're parents got married at nineteen. That's how things happen in our family!"
"Well, maybe I don't wanna be like you guys!" Logan said, a little bit forceful.
"Nonsense." His grandmother said, gesturing the statement away with her hand as if she knew that he was joking. Which he so wasn't.
This whole conversation seemed like déjà vu to Logan, remembering the talk that his grandfather and he had last time that they visited. It had started out the same exact way. The ending of the last conversation, however, ended with Logan screaming at his grandfather and storming out of the room. They hadn't talked since, and it was awkward even looking at each other.
"Logan," His mother began. "Please don't start anything, tonight."
"Why? They don't control my life!" Logan said, pushing his seat away from the table.
"Where do you think you're going, young man?" His grandfather asked, also pushing his seat out.
Logan ignored him, though, and made his way towards his room. On the way, James and the other two joined his side and walked with him to his room. When they got there, Logan shut the door and sat down on his bed.
"I hate them." Logan said to no one in particular.
"Don't say that, Logan." Kendall said. "They're your grandparents."
"Yeah, but they always try to tell me how to run my life." Logan sighed. "I know I shouldn't hate them, but I can't help it when they act the way they do."
"Does this happen a lot?" Kendall asked.
"All the time. I'm actually surprised that he brought it back up. Last time, things didn't end so well."
"Well, don't worry about what they think, Logie." James said, sitting down next to Logan on his bed and wrapping an arm around Logan's shoulders. "You don't need them, when you have us and your mother."
"How long are they here?" Kendall asked.
"I think mom said they'd be here for a week." Logan's face found his hands, and he could hardly breathe with the lack of oxygen that was getting through the tiny spaces between his hands and his face.
"Don't worry, Logan. Like James said, you have the three of us." Caros said, always the optimistic person.
A/N: So, you saw a new side to Logan in this chapter… I'm actually a little frightened at what you guys are thinking about it. And then, the whole thing with James seeing himself falling in love with Logan; Awww! XD Haha, no. but seriously, I thought that bringing something new to this story would get the story to last a little longer. And I'm hoping that the story will last long. So, like I said at the beginning AN, as long as you're still reviewing, I'm gonna continue the story.
