Chapter 14: Yellows relief

The weekend went by faster than anyone had expected and everyone was heading to school. It's the 24th, Monday morning, 8:30am; everyone had walked into their classrooms except River. She wanted to meet Fluffy and she waited until everyone of her closest friend walked up to her and said "hey" River was happy to see them but felt that the weekend wasn't very relaxing. Sol sat next to River and said "you know it's just today, tomorrow and the day after and that's it we'll have our summer holiday" River nodded as the other smiled and she asked Sol "hey Sol have you seen Ember or Frost?" just then they both walked to the rest of the group, tails wagging, and sat down.

They both looked at each other and punched each other, yet again, getting into another fight. Everyone that was there simple laughed except Sol and River. Sol was worried while River had pent up feeling for Fluffy. Yellow walked to them and pet them saying "things will be ok. Red has planned a gaming day and for some of the other activities to run on just to have fun. I promise nothing bad will happen" River looked down thinking to herself "is that an empty promise? Or does she really mean that?"

Yellow smiled and took everyone else into the art class while Sol and River were left to talk to each other. Sol smiled and looked at River as she smiled. Sol asked "ok it's been sometime sine this happened what are you thinking about you?" River said in a slightly happier tone "well I have a crush on someone but I don't know how to tell them" Sol nodded and petted Rivers head. She smiled and said "just tell him how you feel. Look even if he doesn't feel the same way you only have a certain number of chances before you regret it. So you need to think what you'll regret more" deep in Rivers heart she knew that was true but still felt the pressure of the possibility of something going wrong. Was it nerves she was feeling? Or could it be more than that? Either way River couldn't decide on what to do.

Meanwhile in the classroom where Yellow and Red are, Red asked Yellow "you seemed worried, is something on your mind?" Yellow nodded and replied to Red "I was thinking about River and how she has been recently" Red looked at Yellow with a smile and said "I thought so but you don't have to worry about her, she'll be fin after all she has you for a teacher what is so bad about that?" Yellow looked back smiling and asked "Red, I heard from blue that you were planning to put me as the school nurse why did you think that when I think art is what I'm best at?" Red stood there smiling and said to Yellow watching the others play "well to be honest, your ability to read the minds of pokemon and to heal them made sense for you to be the nurse but I changed my mind last minute because I felt it'd put too much pressure on you"

Yellow knew what Red was talking about and drew her attention to Sol who had stopped talking and was drawing. Sol looked at Ember, Frost, Maria, Chi and Cheshire playing and play fight each other. She could tell that Maria was teasing Chi and Cheshire but kept to herself. Before Sol could say or do anything she was dragged to Frosts side, by Frost, who then said to Ember "see this is what a girl does, study, that's all you did through the weekend. That means you're a girl and you have to admit it" Ember got annoyed and pulled Sol towards him saying "at least it's something productive what did you do throughout the weekend? I bet all you did was something gay" Frost also got annoyed as Sol felt dizzy from their fake argument.

Meanwhile River was on a walk around the playground wondering what to say and what to say. Fluffy walked past River thinking too much on how he had overslept. Fluffy had a nightmare about asking River to go on a date with him however in the nightmare she said yes and on the date it went horribly wrong. Fluffy walked to the others, who was surprised to see him walk in at about 1pm in the afternoon, Sol looked at him and asked "didn't you see River on your way in?" Fluffy shook his head in confusion and answered "when I walked in she wasn't anywhere to be seen. Why would she be waiting for me?"

They all went silent and stared at him. There was a few minutes of silence until Sol broke it by saying "she really wanted to tell you something that only she could say to you" Fluffy looked puzzled and looked at everyone who was still staring at him like he didn't something wrong. Fluffy just got more worried and overreacted thinking "oh no, don't tell me the worst has happened. River has started to hate me or worse" Fluffy said out loud in the worried tone, that he had been thinking in "she died?!" everyone looked annoyed and thought the same thing all at once "he's an idiot"

Fluffy just looked more puzzled as Sol said to him "don't you understand? She doesn't hate you, she never hated you. Since the beginning, perhaps longer, she has had a huge crush on you" Fluffy blushed heavy confused and looking at Sol in disbelief. Sol continued "she has loved you so much how do you think she'll feel when she discovers that you ignored her like that" Sol walked off feeling bad for revealing such a sensitive secret. Fluffy felt bad and knew that he had to see her but had no idea where she was at.

Yellow was surprised and said to Red "I'll be right back. I think I know where River is" Yellow walked to the field and went to the bench River sitting at all by herself. Yellow sat next to her and said "hey River are you ok?" River didn't say a word and simply nodded. Yellow continued to talk "listen River, Sol didn't mean to she told Fluffy how you felt about him" River hugged her knee's and blushed heavy fearing that Fluffy didn't feel the same way. Yellow said "Sol feels bad about it, she thinks that you'll stop being her friend what are you going to do?" River stood up and looked at Yellow sadly and said "no I'm still going to be her best friend. I'm just scared about how Fluffy will take it when I decide to tell him"

It wasn't long afterward when Fluffy saw River and Yellow talking and went to them shyly. Yellow smiled and said "I'll leave you both to talk it out" the Yellow walked back inside as Fluffy sat next to River awkwardly nervous. River looked at Fluffy and said "hi ummmm h-how are you?" Fluffy nodded and answered "I'm ok but I need to tell you something" River listened to him intently thinking that it'll be something bad. Fluffy continued "I ummmmm I love you River and I have since the first moment we met each other. That day was the best day of my life and nothing could make it better"

Yellow smiled in the distance and thought "now I don't have to worry, not anymore" River just sat there blushing and really confused about what he did. Fluffy asked "River, do you want to hang out after school today? I know it's sudden and I'd understand if you said no" he looked down expecting River to say no to what he asked but instead he received a kiss on his lips from her and blushed heavy. River smiled and looked into Fluffy's eyes then said "I'd love to" he was so happy he couldn't help but hug her close to him and smile the biggest smile ever.

Meanwhile, Yellow walked to Red smiling. Red asked out of curiosity "why are you smiling like that?" she replied happily "I no longer have to worry. Things from now on are going to be happy and I couldn't be prouder" Red looked confused and decided to just smile and nod.
