The Fight

A/N: Finally another chapter up. I know it has been ages but I have been busy with exams and internship. But I was able to finish this one. I won't disclose what the chapter contains. You'll just have to read and find out.

Disclaimer: Neither the Harry Potter series nor the characters belong to me. If they did half of the characters wouldn't have died.

Well Happy Reading people :)

As the time went by, Scorpius' plan of Wooing Rose wasn't making much progress. In fact, it wasn't making any progress at all. After the Christmas Ball, Scorpius had been keeping a close eye on Rose and Andy to see whether there was any opportunity which he can take to put his plan in action.

He had initially decided to wait for Rose and Andy to break up but over the holidays before their 5th year when he saw Rose's relationship developing instead of deteriorating like he had been hoping. He came to the conclusion that if he wanted his chance with Rose he would have to use the planning and scheming for which the Malfoys were known for. After all, everything is fair in love and war.

The fifth year had started almost two months ago and they were already flooded with homework. Since it was their OWLs year all the professors seemed to have nothing to do except talk about the importance of OWLs and give out homeworks.

Albus made his way towards the library carrying his bag and with a scowl on his face. Gryffindor's had a gruesome Quidditch practice as the Quidditch season was just a month away. And now he had to complete the mountain of homework that he had successfully created by procrastinating for the past week.

He had to complete all of it if he wanted to go to the Hogsmeade trip which was scheduled for next weekend. As he entered the library and scanned the place his eyes landed on the pretty Hufflepuff who happened to be the center of his attention for quite sometime now.

The scowl was quickly replaced by a huge grin as he moved towards the table which Alice was occupying. Setting his bag on the chair opposite to hers he smiled and said, "Hello. Mind if I sit here?"

Startled Alice looked up from the book she was reading and smiled. " You don't have to ask Albus. In fact I could really use your help with this spell I am unable to understand in Charms. Can you explain it to me?"

"Only if you help me understand what Neville was on about in class today. I may or may not have slept in the class today."

Laughing, Alice shifted her Charms book towards Albus listening him explain what had seemed to be a complex charm earlier but now appeared to be as easy as Alohomora.

"You know you really are a brilliant teacher Albus. Here's a proposition, you help me pass Charms as I am hopeless in it and I'll help you with Herbology. Deal?"

Grabbing the hand that she had offered, Albus gave her the smile that he thought his best and nodded "Deal."

And then they spent another hour or so studying, laughing and chatting together and needless to say both had a big smile on their faces as they headed towards the Great Hall for dinner.

The fifth year was a bit more trying for Rose then most of the students. Juggling studies, friends, Quidditch and a boyfriend was not an easy task. Being Hermione Weasley's daughter was an advantage as she was able to understand what was being said in the class faster and better than the other students.

But she was also Ron Weasley's daughter and often shied away from the homework which was given. Though she was able to tackle everything to an extent her relationship with Andy seemed to be facing trouble for sometime now.

With them being in different years, houses and having a separate circle of friends they were unable to spend as much time with each other as they wanted. They had planned to meet in the empty classroom which was near their Defense classroom after Rose's Quidditch practice that day.

"Hey Ro."Andy greeted her with a peck on her cheek as she entered the classroom.

"Hello. How was your day?" she asked as she settled herself on the desk opposite to Andy's.

"Tiring. With the NEWTs this year the professors have made it their lives mission to make our lives miserable. Anyway I wanted to ask you, can we meet tomorrow at the same time? I have to go and study with some mates from Ravenclaw."

"But we barely get time together anymore Andy. Plus tomorrow is Friday so obviously I can't meet with you and you know why." Rose said.

Friday nights were Rose, Albus and Scorpius' nights. They sneaked food and butterbeers from the kitchen with the help of Winky and to the Room of Requirement where they chatted and spent times together as the trio again.

"Yes but I have to go today. It is important and you can obviously cancel your stupid Friday night tomorrow. I know Scorpius and Albus will understand." Andy argued.

"Oh your plans are important while mine are stupid. And they will understand but that doesn't mean I am going to cancel. Plus why is it everytime I have to alter my plans to accommodate yours?" Rose fumed.

And it was true. In the past two months since the year had started Rose had already cancelled two of her Friday nights with Scorpius and Albus just so they could meet while Andy had never once made any change in his plans so that they could meet.

"Well obviously they are important. I am going to study while you do nothing else but joke around and be unproductive."

"It is not about productivity but about friendship. While you get to keep yours I have to compromise on mine just so I could spend time with you."

"Well it might have escaped your notice but you need to adjust while in a relationship."

"Oh I am adjusting alright it is you who needs to understand what adjustment means. And while you are 'studying' with your oh-so-productive friends ask them to give you the definition of adjustment as well."

And with that Rose stormed out of the classroom leaving a fuming Andy behind.

Scorpius was returning from the Quidditch practice to the Gryffindor Common Room to send a letter to his parents and to finish his homework. Albus had gone to the library to complete his homework while Rose was going to meet Andy he thought bitterly.

He was tired as he had to endure five hours of classes and then a Quidditch session. It seemed like James has lost his mind with the amount of practice they had done today. Since this was his last year he was hell bent on winning the Quidditch Cup for Gryffindor.

Instead of taking the usual route to the Common Room he decided to take the short cut from the second floor. As he passed the Defense classroom he could hear shouts coming from a nearby classroom.

Being a prefect he decided to see what the issue was and break up the fight if it was going to get physical. As he peered into the classroom through the door he saw the fiery curly hair that could only belong to Rose and identified the other voice to be Andy's.

Deciding he was intruding he was about to leave when he heard Rose mention the Friday night. Becoming curious he decided to stay and listen after all Rose was his friend and if he had to protect her, he needs to know what the fight was about.

As he listened to the conversation he realized what the fighting was about. Seeing Rose approaching the door he got out of the door and hid behind the door as she stormed out. He could see her shaking and went after her to talk to her and comfort her.

Though he was supposed to feel angry, which he was feeling to an extent, he was also a bit happy for this was the opportunity that he was looking for.
