"Feeling better Ryuzaki?' Light asked, over the last several days, the detective would begin feeling better only to start feeling sick again a few moments later. Watari said it was probably because his body was still fighting against it. All light wanted was L to stay well.

" as of this moment in time, yes." L answered, Watari smiled.

"I can't tell you enough how happy I am to hear that." He said happily.

"I must again apologize for all of this, it was not easy for either of you."

"Ryuzaki, even as hard as it was for us, it was worse for you, you're the one who got sick." Light said.

"I am thankful for both of you being with me, whether or not I am that one percent, it doesn't change that."

"Fortunately for us, It's looking more promising. You've gotten stronger and with the exception of slight relapses here and there, you seem to be recovering slowly." Watari said taking out the stethoscope and listening to L's heart.

"Heart sounds good. How does your stomach feel from yesterday?"

"It's alright Watari." The old man looked at him skeptically.

"So if I touch it, there won't be any tenderness?" L didn't answer. Watari applied pressure to L's abdomen, he could tell the detective was in pain but was attempting to hide it.

"L, I've known you since you were little, do you really think you can hide it from me?"

"Not for very long."

"Try not at all. I know your tricks."

"Yes, it seems that way. You would not be Watari if you could not see through it. You are very observant."

"And yet you try anyway."

"It is in my nature to-"

"I know all about your nature. I practically raised you. Now if you behave yourself, I'll give you something different later."

"I always behave."

"Is that right?"

"It is." Light shook his head in amusement. He liked L and Watari.

"When your stomach stops hurting, I want to try taking you off the IV and trying regular medicine."

"I would like that, IV's are very uncomfortable, as well as restricting."

"You're on bed rest, you're supposed to be restricted." Light said.

"That knowledge does not make it easier to deal with."

"I know it doesn't. That's one of the many reasons I don't like being sick. I hate being stuck in bed."

"Not many people in my experience enjoy it." L replied.

"I hope to be up very soon."

"Don't push yourself Ryuzaki. Take it easy, these things take time, you've been really sick and doing to much at once could be a bad thing."

"Thank you doctor light, for your expert medical opinion." Light looked at the detective in shock.

"Did you just use sarcasm with me?"

"I did. I whole heartedly blame you for my picking it up."

"I'll take that blame I suppose. I should warn you Ryuzaki, sarcasm is-"

"A second language to you I'm sure, light Yagami."

"Are you some kind of mind reader?"

"No. I am just one step ahead, I have heard most things before, and I do not fear your sarcastic remarks."

"You're really something Ryuzaki."

"You are as well Light Yagami, though what that is, remains to be seen."
