AN: So, this took me longer than two weeks, I am sorry that it took me longer to get it out. There is something to look forward to in this story though. I will hopefully get the next chapter out as soon as I can so enjoy this one for now.

Last time: - What will the repercussions be after the conversation between Rory and Jess? Will Jo talk to Jess again? Will Logan and the boys have to get involved?

Chapter 13

Rory's POV

Insistent ringing is all I can hear as I'm finishing a paper before, having to get ready to go out with the gang tonight.

''hello''

''are you typing?''

''no course not''

''sounds like your typing to me''

''mom, if I say I'm typing will you tell me why you rang me?''

''maybe…so you are typing then?''

Can't help but laugh at that one, ''yes I'm typing trying to finish this paper before I go out tonight''

''woo where are you going?''

''rich man's shoe with Logan the boys and Steph and Jo''

''didn't know Steph would be going''

''her and Colin are back on again, so she is coming with us, plus she hasn't meet Jo properly yet''

''and over drinks and with Finn to play medium''

''well that does help''

''well if you're sure, I can tell you about this dream…''

''not another one''

''...we had went to concert…''

'' which one?''

''does it matter?''

''yea so I can picture it clearly''

''fine it was a Bangles tribute"

''who else was there?''

''it was just the two of us''

''okay that I can see''

''so, there we were dancing and singing…''

''but of course,''

''when Luke and Chris show up…''

''why?''

''because Luke was picking me up and Chris was picking you up…''

''why was dad getting me?''

''he was taking you to see Gigi…''

''okay''

''so, we were about to leave when Paul Anaka, showed up and took me and you to a private showing of his famous songs''

''why did that happen?''

''don't know really it was my dream I need you to help me deceiver it''

''okay continue''

''thank you, so we were enjoying the music when suddenly, we became cotton wool and I woke up''

'' that was a change to what we were doing…did you watching about cotton again before going to bed?''

''yes, I was watching a knitting programme''

''why?''

''there was nothing else on and I was trying to sleep so I fall asleep to it''

''yea that may be why while enjoying Paul Anaka music we became cotton wool"

"but it was a good programme, and I wasn't ready to sleep yet"

"you need to try something else to help you sleep"

"like what?"

"try reading Luke's manuals books again they helped last time and Luke was impressed"

"mmm true…might try that one that then"

"good, so other than dream is there anything else that I should know about"

"what just a quick phone call is all I get these days"

I sigh my mum though I love her can be dramatic sometimes, "no but I need to finish this paper and then get ready to go out with the gang"

"how is everyone?"

"they are good, Finn actually had a test the other day that he took"

"what? I thought that boy didn't know what tests were"

"he doesn't but he couldn't remember if he slept with his teacher or not so he had to take the test"

"that sounds like something Finn would do, and it's all right for some though huh?"

"mom"

"what?"

"I recognize that tone, you don't need to worry about what he does, it doesn't affect me"

"I know doesn't mean I don't like that he can't do some work"

"he does just doesn't want people to know, he gets some guy that he knows to turn in his assignments so that people don't see him handing work in"

"that sounds reasonable if he doesn't want people to know about his assignments''

"yea but that's Finn for you"

"I suppose so, so where are you going?"

"me and Logan are going for something to eat just us than meeting up with the gang for drinks afterwards, and no I don't know where we are going Logan is surprising me"

"that boy loves to surprise you"

"I love the surprises though"

"fine I let you get ready…you finished the paper while talking to me, didn't you?"

"I've learnt and adapted to our phone calls, and can now focus on our calls and work….it won't last but I'm enjoying it while I can"

"haha yes I imagine that you have, alright love I'll let you get ready"

"thanks, oh and I'm wearing your blue dress as well"

"when did you get that?"

"last time I was home"

"Bring it back with you please I wanted that for my date with Luke next week"

"okay, I'll try and remember it"

"thank you oh lovely daughter of mine"

"your welcome oh fantastic mother of mine"

"speak to you soon love you"

"speak soon, love you too"

With that we hang up and I save the last of my work and get ready for my date with Logan. I jump in the shower and after dry and curl my hair slightly, put minimal make up, but I put I little bit more on the eye shadow. Just to make my eyes pop a little more.

The dress I took from my mum is, a blue dress that falls just above my knees. It has little yellow flowers on it and has, a slight rumpled effect but it makes the effect that the dress was made for.

Added together with simple white heels, a white jacket and a blue and white clutch, that finishes the look off.

When I leave the bedroom just putting some earrings in that Logan got me, there was Logan waiting for me in the living room. Wearing black jeans, a light blue top and a black blazer, making him looking dashing when he doesn't even have to try.

"how you know I was going to wear blue for our date tonight?''

"I didn't, it was a guess"

I just shrugged and smiled at him, "so where are we going tonight?"

"not telling ace"

"oh, come on Logan"

"no and don't give me them Bambi eyes either it won't work this time around"

I pout at him and he just grins and gives me a kiss that leaves me speechless, "shall we go?"

"yea"

With that we leave the apartment and go on our date.

Jo's POV

Why was I doing this? Why did I agree to this? What do I think would be different? Do I think it's going to be different? Will I have my feelings returned or just be ignored like before? Tonight, shall show tonight wither or not this can be changed for us.

For tonight I'm wearing a simple black dress that falls just below my knees, with a sweet heart neckline. I matched it with small black heels, leather jacket and small bag.

As I walk into the Chinese restaurant I can't help but think that Jess will not accept my feelings and that he will just, dismiss them for something that he doesn't want to have to deal with. Which would be a simple and something that Jess would do.

I can see Jess right away talking to the waitress and I can't help but feel a little bit jealous, he seems to be able to talk and flirt with her way easier than when he is with me.

I give myself a little shake that is no way that I should be talking about myself these days, I've got more confidence since being Rory and the gang. I am starting to feel like my old self again before, the putting on tight clothes and attitude…doesn't mean that I can't use that to my advantage.

I grin and walk bold up to them and I can see Jess's eyes the way that they widen slightly, he knows what I have planned.

''hello love'' I put a slight sway in my hips and lean down to give him a kiss that was short and passionate.

I turned to the waitress then and said "thanks for keeping him from remembering how late I am. I hope that you didn't mind and that it didn't keep you from your job"

"I…I was glad to help you too out" she replied flushed and walked away as quickly as possible

"so then shall we order?" as I sat down and smirked at him

"you never change; you know that?"

"how so?"

"you know how to make girls disappear when you want someone who is in the way with something that you want"

"not something I want just want the conversation to be clear and for us to not have any distractions that's all"

"well okay then, shall we talk then?"

"yea what did you want to say?"

"well I talk to Rory and she gave me some advice on stuff, maybe I can use that to help us out?"

"what was said between you two?"

"well not a lot but it went something like this…"

Rory's POV

After one of the best dinners that we have had, me and Logan went for a walk after dinner to just be together before we meet up with the gang.

We found a small park that we could walk around in and we were able to talk and be happy for each other the way that we wanted.

A small gazebo had lights all around it for couples to enjoy, Logan stopped suddenly in front of it and I just smiled when I saw that look on his face. The one that said he had an idea of what he would class as fun.

"Logan, what's going on in that head of yours?"

I wrapped my arms around his neck and leaned into him, as I felt him kiss the top of my head and we just stood there in bliss for a bit…before we heard…

"RORY!"

I looked up and seen Jo crying and walking towards me, I was guessing the dinner with Jess didn't go well, I looked up at Logan and shrugged my shoulders for the quizzing look he was giving me.

"Jo what's wrong?"

"what's wrong, what's wrong? How about the fact that the little talk that you had with Jess has made him, just say that you told him that you loved him? And that he shouldn't be with someone like me, who isn't good enough for him"

"I never said anything like that, I never told him I loved him where did he get that from? I told him that he shouldn't be hoping for something with me, because I can't see me being with him, that I can only see myself being with Logan.

I don't know what he said to you Jo but it isn't true"

"yea well who should I believe when he has you on tape saying that you love him"

"Jo what?"

"I'm too angry right now to talk to you, I'm going to Colin's see you later Logan"

Then she walked away and left me and Logan to deal with what she has just said.

"is it true what she said? That you told Jess you love him?"

"not like that Logan, not the way that I love you, I told him that I once loved him and that because of that the young girl that I used to be, will probably love him. But that the woman that I am now, I will only Love you Logan.

I won't leave you for you him, I will always want to be with you always you"

"but you still said it and feelings can come back from the past…how can I trust that you didn't mean it like that?"

"you can trust me Logan, you know you can please, I love you"

He was silent for so long that I didn't know what he was thinking for a change.

"Logan please talk to me"

"I need some time Ace, to think about this, to get my head straight. I'll see you at home"

With that he walked away and I couldn't stop him, I knew that he needed time but I just didn't know what to think.

Why couldn't Jess just keep the facts straight why did he have to change them. Why was he so set on me and him getting together?

I turned around to walk back to the car to see if I could meet up with Logan somehow.

"Hi Rory"

Oh great…" hi Jess"

What was said between Jo and Jess? Will Logan talk to Rory again? What will Rory say to Jess? Will Jo talk to Rory again?

AN: so, this is one of the longest chapters that I have done, 9 pages nearly my hands are killing me from the typing haha, but it has been fun. I know that you must be wondering where the talk between Rory and Jess is but it will be in the next chapter.

I hope that you all liked the conversation between Rory and Lorelai it was fun to write.
