Hey guys, I know this update is kind of short but I wanted to leave it at a certain place.
Hope you enjoy and please review :)
Nine POV
My heart stops when I heard Six utter those words.
"Today is the day that you die" she had said, before running out of the toilet.
I had stood there, frozen, before instinct took over and I re-emerged from the bathroom.
I am currently trying to track her down, I need to find out what is going on before anyone gets hurt. Everyone is in danger. Or, just me?
I wind through the hallways and finally catch up to her, she has stopped running and is moseying along at a leisurely pace. Her whole stature has changed, and when she spins around I see that her face has too. Gone are the red eyes and tear tracks, replaces with a raised eyebrow and perfect smirk.
"Six, I, what the hell is going on?" I demand, needing answers, fast.
"Oh, you actually believed my little display back there, Nine?" she says in a cocky tone.
"Six" my voice hardens "What happened?"
"My my, you're not as good as you think you are" she says in a sing-song voice. "Ickle Nine fell for a prank!"
I can't deal with this right now. I don't know what is going on with her. I miss Six as she was this morning, though scared and shaky, she was my Six, not this cheap copy of her.
"Bye bye!" Six giggles and waves her hand.
I exhale sharply and storm off, not daring to look back. History is over and it is time for my next class. I need to focus and forget about what happened. But I can't get Six's warning out of my head. She seemed so genuine, surely even she can't act that well.
The next class passes by excruciatingly slowly. I count the minutes, seconds, the birds on the telephone line outside my classroom. Nothing makes lunch time come sooner, so I'm stuck waiting for what seems like years.
When the bell finally rings I all but leap out of my chair, making a beeline for the door. I push past other students and head straight for the cafeteria, hoping to catch sight of Six. She is nowhere that I look and I slam open the doors to the cafeteria. Eight looks surprised at my behaviour and tries to approach me, but I ignore him and continue on my hunt for answers.
After stalking around the room I finally find her, surrounded by gruff looking guys, again. Enough.
"Six. Get up" I order, grabbing her arm and dragging her out of the chair.
"Hey, dude. Hands off" one of her table buddies starts, but I shoot him a glare that shuts him up.
I pull Six over to a corner and let go of her, crossing my arms and waiting. She gives me an exasperated look, cocking one eyebrow.
"Don't pull this shit on me now, Six. I swear I-" I'm cut off by music coming out of the loudspeakers.
Both Six and I swivel our heads to find the source, and then freeze. I know the song that is playing, and a quick glance to where Eight is sitting with Marina and John reveals that they know it too. I never thought I'd hear it again so soon, especially in a place like this.
The Mogadorian National Anthem.
Ahh! What's going on now?
Have the Mogs finally caught up to Six?
Please leave me review and tell me what you think
xx
