Welcome to the 3rd chapter of The Reaper of Fire. As said in the last part of the last chapter, there will be a time jump in this chapter, mainly because if I didn't do the time jump thing, it would all just be a bunch of filler, like recruitment, management, training, all of that stuff is stuff I don't really like to write about. Anyway, enjoy this next chapter of The Reaper of Fire.
Chapter 2 Recap:
Skarlet defeated the Hollow she was placed up against, after going through a massive and difficult ordeal of retrieving her sword from it. Toshiro then complimented Skarlet on her efforts and her strength, and then revealed that she wasn't actually supposed to fight that Hollow because it was put in that room by accident, and it was supposed to be too strong for her, but she still defeated it. After Skarlet was teleported to the final test room, the Head Captain, Yamamoto, appeared and told Skarlet that he wanted to have a private chat with her. As they had their private chat, Skarlet was told that she was extremely strong for someone at her age, and that Yamamoto wanted to put her in a regiment of the 13 Court Guard Squads. Skarlet accepted, and then Yamamoto gave Toshiro an excuse to leave with Skarlet, and as they left, Yamamoto revealed that he was making her a Captain of the new secret regiment he was making, called 14th regiment of the newly renamed 14 Court Guard Squads. Skarlet also accepted this responsibility, and then Yamamoto showed Skarlet her new secret HQ for her regiment, and if anyone was recruited to the 14th, this place would also be their HQ. Skarlet then received a private promotion ceremony, and was then given a coat with a symbol on the back of it that meant 14th on it. This was her Captain's coat, and she wore it with pride.
Chapter 3:
Summary on what happened:
After Skarlet was promoted, she trained hard for a good 10 years with barely ever stopping since she wasn't called out for duty much since she was a secret regiment and all. She also managed to recruit 11 more members into her regiment, but that seemed to be everyone she could get, but at least one of them was Vareth, and he quickly became Skarlet's Lieutenant. Now Skarlet watches over the Soul Society, making sure nothing goes too wrong.

Skarlet was now 17 years old, and by the looks of it, this was as far as this dimension was gonna allow her to age. She decided that this time as she walked outside, she wouldn't bring the Captain's coat with her, that she now decorated with black tribal flames on the sleeves of it. Skarlet then stepped outside of the HQ of the 14th, and closed the walls behind her, and saw a girl with black hair and dark blue eyes, so since she wasn't looking like a Captain of some unknown regiment, Skarlet walked up to the girl, and said, "Uh, hi, my name is Skarlet, and I'm new here, what's your name?" Then the black haired lady turned and looked at Skarlet and then said, "Oh hi, my name is Rukia, do you need anything?" Skarlet then shook her head, and said, "No not really, I just wanted to see what you're doing is all." Then Rukia gave Skarlet a small grin, and said, "I'm just about to head off to the world of the living to clear out a Hollow threat that was detected in there. Do you wanna come along? You're new and need experience, come on." Skarlet then tried to say, "No" but she was interrupted when Rukia grabbed her and dragged her through the gates to the living world, and as she was being dragged, Skarlet thought to herself, "Great one Skarlet, really nice mess you've gotten yourself into." Then they were transported to the world of the living. Once they appeared, it was day time, and they appeared on top of a skyscraper. Rukia then looked at her Hollow locator that looked like a cell phone, and then said, "It looks like its over this way." and then she pointed in the direction the device told her, so then they headed off, sprinting across rooftops to get there quicker. Once they stopped just above the Hollow, Rukia said, "You're pretty fast for a rookie, but I guess everyone was a natural talent, anyway get ready." Skarlet then stood on the edge of the roof of the skyscraper she stood on, and saw the Hollow which looked like a massive ant-like creature. Rukia then said, "Go get 'em!" and smacked Skarlet's back, which made Skarlet fall. Skarlet was about to scream, but then realized she was not a rookie even though she was acting like one, so then she drew her massive Masamune, and then as she dropped in close enough, she did a front flip, and then sliced her blade right through its neck, and hacked its head clean off. Skarlet then landed a little softer because the sword going through its flesh slowed her down, and then the Hollow's body disappeared. Rukia then appeared beside Skarlet, and then said, "That was some pretty nice moves you pulled there, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you're a Captain." Skarlet then flinched in surprise and fear for a moment, but then Rukia said, "But there is already 13 Captains besides you so that's impossible." Skarlet then let out a sigh of relief as she hasn't been caught yet, and then Rukia said, "There should be more appearing later on in the day, so be ready for when we have to run again Okay?" Skarlet then nodded, and they decided to sit on top of the very same skyscraper from before until many hours later, once the sky got dark, Rukia got another reading of a Hollow near a clinic within the city, so then Rukia said, "Hollow spotted, let's go Skarlet!" Skarlet then nodded, and then stood up, and they rushed towards the area the detector told them, and the location led the two of them to some teenage boy's room, and the boy was sleeping in his bed still, and he had orange hair. He kept on sleeping once they entered thankfully, but as they walked across the room to check out things around the house, Skarlet stepped on a lego piece and then yelled, "SON OF A BITCH!!!!!!!!!" and then the orange haired teen immediately woke up, and then freaked out and kicked both Rukia and Skarlet in the back of the head. After they fell to the ground, Rukia then turned to the orange haired teen, and asked in surprise, "How did you do that to us? Not only can you see us, but you can hit us too?" then the orange haired teen said, "My name is Ichigo Kurosaki thanks for asking, and how I did that is I planted my foot onto the backs of your heads." Rukia was then about to explain why she was confused, but then Skarlet said, "Rukia, Hollow, remember?" and then Rukia said, "Oh shit forgot, come on Skarlet!" But before they left, Rukia said, "1st incantation!" and then Ichigo was bound by an invisible set of handcuffs, and his limbs were paralysed temporarily. Skarlet and Rukia then rushed downstairs, and found the Hollow there, trying to eat Ichigo's family. Skarlet then drew her sword, and tried to slash at the Hollow, but nearly beheaded one of Ichigo's sisters, so Skarlet sheathed her sword, and then said, "Rukia, you're going to have to deal with this one, my sword is too big to deal with this situation safely!" Rukia was then about to switch out with Skarlet, but then Ichigo came tumbling down the stairs, and then Rukia asked, "Wasn't that supposed to paralyze you? You shouldn't have been able to get here." Ichigo then said, "Shutup! Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go save my family!" Ichigo then started pulling extremely hard in the magic restraints on his body, and then it actually started to break, and Rukia said, "How?! This spell should be unbreakable for humans!" Then the spell shattered, and Ichigo was free, and he immediately grabbed a folded up chair, and ran at the Hollow in an attempt to attack as Skarlet thought to herself, "Wow, this guy must be crazy strong if he can take out a Hollow with a chair." But just as Skarlet thought that, Ichigo got punched by the Hollow, and sent flying across the house. Then the Hollow went outside, and Rukia followed it, and said, "Ichigo! I want you to stay behind me!" But just as she said that, Ichigo ran in front of her, and tried to beat the Hollow up again, but then the Hollow was about to bite him. So then Rukia rushed in, and tried to cut the Hollow's mouth to make it back off, but she was too late, and the Hollow bit into her, making blood fly everywhere. Rukia then cut one of his teeth out, making it back off for a bit, as both Ichigo and Skarlet rushed over to her to see if they could help her. Rukia then told Ichigo, "Why don't you listen? Now I'm stuck in this mess, so I'm gonna leave you with a decision, you can take my powers, and become a temporary Soul Reaper and save your family, or you can leave me and possibly get your family killed in the process." Skarlet then said, "You do realize that this is a very illegal decision you are giving him right?" and then Rukia replied, "Well this alleyway is too narrow for you to cut that thing to bits, and I'm too injured to fight, so this is the only choice." Ichigo then answered, "I'll do it, now give me those powers." Rukia then placed the blade of her Zanpakuto in Ichigo's hands, and then said, "Good, now go and save your family!" and then she pushed her power through her sword, and transferred it to Ichigo, making a bright light shine around him. Once the light faded, Ichigo stood there with a massive katana over his shoulder, along with a black Soul Reaper outfit. Rukia then got a surprised look on her face, and said, "I only meant to give him 50% of my power! How did he get 90% of it?!" Ichigo then saw the Hollow close in, and then he slashed it's arm off, and then before he gave the Hollow time to rest, he sliced it in half, making it completely disappear. Then both Ichigo and Rukia seemed to blackout from stress, and Skarlet was the only one who was fine, so she carried them both back inside, and put Ichigo on his bed, and threw Rukia in his closet, and then said to herself, "I guess since you're both technically dead anyway, I can tell you a little secret when you wake up. But before that, I guess I should grab everything I would need in case the Soul Society comes after me too." Skarlet then opened the door back to Soul Society, and then ran back to her bunker, and grabbed her Captain's coat, and a bunch of food and water in case she got stuck in a Gigai, or a fake human body that looked just like her. Then Skarlet returned to Ichigo's room, and then realized there was not really any more room, so she found a corner in the room that was empty, so she buried herself in her stuff, and went to sleep. The next morning, she was the first awake thankfully, so she dug her way out of her stuff, and re-tied her sword on, and then waited for the other two to wake. Ichigo was the first to wake up, and as he saw Skarlet in the corner, he said, "How long have you been sitting there?!" and then Skarlet said, "I've been sleeping here, but if you wanna know how long I've been awake and here, it's been 10 minutes." Then Skarlet heard Rukia's voice saying, "Keep it down I'm trying to sleep!" But then Ichigo threw his closet door open, and they both saw that Rukia was not in Reaper's clothing anymore, but she was wearing normal human clothing, which meant she was already using her Gigai to stay alive. Skarlet then walked up to her and said, "Rukia, I have a secret to tell you, and it is a very important one, one you cannot tell anyone else." Rukia then saw the seriousness on her face, so then Rukia said, "Okay, what is it?" and then Skarlet said, "You know how you said my moves are a lot like a Captain's? Well, that isn't too far from the truth." Rukia then asked, "What do you mean?" and then Skarlet said, "I was getting to that. Anyway, the reason for that is because I AM a Captain." Rukia then had a shocked expression on her face, and then she said, "But that's impossible, there is only 13 regiments and 13 Captains. For you to also be a Captain would mean..." and then Skarlet cut Rukia off by saying, "For me to be a Captain, there would have to be a 14th regiment, and I have that, my regiment is a secret one made by Yamamoto himself. So technically it's the 14 Court Guard Squads." Rukia then said, "That explains the coat you are wearing all of a sudden, and the insane skill you had, I have to be honest though, that newbie act was pretty good until you used those moves." Skarlet then said, "Thanks, also, you're taking this surprisingly well." Rukia then said, "Well just because you're a Captain, doesn't mean you're any different to me. By the way, does that mean you have Bankai like the other Captains?" Skarlet then said, "I'm not sure if I have Bankai yet. I've beaten my Zanpakuto's true form already within the ten years I've been training, but I've never found a use for a Bankai in a fight yet, I'm just too strong." Rukia then said, "Well I'm pretty sure you'll find a use for it eventually, remember you are literally immortal, so you'll have time to search." Skarlet then smiled a bit and said, "Thanks, hey where did Ichigo run off to?" Then they looked around and found that Ichigo wasn't there, and then they heard Ichigo yelling from downstairs, "I'm off to school! See ya later!" Then they heard the door slam. Then Skarlet got an idea not much longer later, and said, "Hey, we should go and infiltrate Ichigo's class to monitor what he does and make sure he doesn't do anything stupid with his new powers." Rukia then thought about it for a moment, and then eventually said, "You know, that's not a bad idea. I guess you weren't promoted to Captain for no reason." Skarlet then grinned, and then put herself into her Gigai, and then got dressed into normal human clothes, and then both Rukia and Skarlet stepped outside while railing Ichigo to his school, and after he went inside, Skarlet and Rukia went to the office and found the principle, and Skarlet said, "Excuse us." and then the principle turned around and said, "Oh hello, how can I help you today?" and then Skarlet said, "Me and my friend here are new transfer students, both of us in grade 9, do you think you can take us in?" Skarlet looked a little younger than 17 years old, so it worked out. The principle then sat there thinking for a bit, and then he said, "Alright, join in on this class, they should be just starting." The principle then handed Skarlet a piece of paper and pointed at the class he was talking about. Skarlet and Rukia then started to leave the room, and then Skarlet said, "Thanks, and goodbye." as they left. After they got far enough from the office, Rukia bumped Skarlet's shoulder, and then said, "Nice job, its almost scary how you can do this infiltration thing so easily." Skarlet then said, "Thanks, I got the skill from hiding in secrecy so long." Then they found the class they were searching for, and they both walked in, and the whole class looked at them as the teacher looked at them and asked, "And who are you two?" and then Skarlet smiled and said, "I'm Skarlet Sarenova, and this is my friend Rukia Kuchiki, we are transfer students from just a few towns over." Then the teacher gave them a polite smile, and said, "Welcome to my class then, you can sit by the two desks available near the kid with the orange hair over there." Ichigo was literally stunned on how both Skarlet and Rukia infiltrated the school so easily, and was stunned even more when Skarlet sat down on his left, and Rukia on his right. Then Skarlet looked over at Ichigo and smirked, as if saying "We're watching".
