Ch. 14
"Halloween Showdown"
Milani and the girls went to the costume store to get their costumes for April and Casey's Halloween Party. They all chose dragon ninja costumes.
Aiko smiled as they all tried on their costumes to make sure they fit.
"We could be sisters, we all match this is awesome!"
Holly smiled as the four friends exited the store laughing about some wannabe that dressed like Milani at school. While they walked, they bumped into the boys.
Michelangelo looked and smiled.
"Let's go get a bite to eat ladies. I'm starving after another training session with our fearless leader over here."
Leo glared at Michelangelo.
"Will you stop calling me that Mikey? You're starting to sound like Raph and getting on my nerves."
Raphael laughed as he embraced Aiko.
"That's our job bro, we are your younger brothers. We live to annoy you."
Leo chuckled as he grabbed Milani's waist and kissed her on the lips smiling.
"Do I get to see what you're going to be tonight or is it a surprise babe? Milani are you okay, you didn't answer my question."
She looked at him and smiled.
"Yes I am fine Leo, just thinking about the last fight with Larai that's all. Yes Leo it's a surprise."
Michelangelo sighed with relief.
"At least tonight we can go to the party as ourselves without people looking at us like we're freaks. Yo Raph has Casey told you the secret he and April have?"
Raphael looked up from kissing Aiko with a glare and shrugged.
"No he said he'll tell us at the party tonight."
He watched as Leo and Milani made out and cleared his throat.
"Do you have any idea Milani?"
Leo broke away from her and she shrugged.
"Not really all I do know is that April had a doctor's appointment this morning. That's all she told me, we haven't really spoken because it's been so busy at the store lately."
In the meantime at the Doctor's office Casey was pacing back and forth. He continued to look at the door and continued to pace back and forth. April exited the room and smiled at Casey as she approached him.
"We are going to be parents, I am three months pregnant with twins. No wonder why I have been eating so much I'm actually eating for three."
He smiled and hugged April gently.
"I am so excited. I always wanted to be a father and now I will be."
April smiled and nodded as they exited the office. Then they headed home to get ready for the party. Angel was the first one to arrive and looked at Casey.
"So any news you have for us? I mean Milani and I can't believe how much April has been eating lately."
Casey smiled at her and responded.
"We'll tell you when they all get here. Right now com help me get everything ready."
Around five thirty the girls headed home to get ready for the party. The boys were careful not to hit the watches as they headed to their house. The house that Milani just found out was left to her. They waited patiently as the girls get ready. Leo walked over by the window and looked out because he sensed trouble. Raphael went up behind his brother and asked.
"Yo Leo what is it! Why are you looking out into a dark street bro? It's only kids in their costumes going trick or treating."
Leo sighed.
"Maybe so, but those foot ninjas are also lurking around. We just have to stay alert when we go to the party Raph. Come one let's turn back here come the girls."
The brothers hit their watches and stared at the girls in their costumes speechless. Leonardo just stared at Milani.
"Whoa babe you look amazing and your mask matches mine." She smiled and winked at him.
"That was the idea. Let's go before we're late."
They walked hand in hand toward April and Casey's. Milani sensed trouble and tapped Leo's shell.
"They're around ready to ambush us again!"
All eight of them remained alert and were surrounded by foot ninjas. A female member lunged at Milani, and she blocked her attack. Leo and his brothers also fought off the ninjas surrounding them side by side with their girls. Above them an evil laugh was heard and Larai appeared in front of Milani.
"You survived I see! I guess you're stronger and more skilled than I thought. We'll see how your skills do against me and my powers!"
Leonardo looked and yelled as Larai threw a lightning bolt at Milani.
"Move babe; she's also a sorceress!"
Everyone looked and closed their eyes afraid that it would be the end of Milani, especially Aiko she buried her head in Raphael's chest.
Milani flipped out of the way and appeared behind Larai. Everyone stared as her necklace shined blue. Then her eyes glowed ice blue. They all flipped out of the way as she formed a wave in her palms and aimed it straight at Larai. She knocked her back against the wall causing her to hit her head. Raphael looked up and his eyes widened as he shielded Aiko.
"Umm babe, did you know she could do that?"
Aiko shook her head as she continued to stare where Milani stood.
"No I never knew, I only knew she was a ninja master but didn't know she had powers."
She looked on Raphael's neck and saw a medallion with a fire sign on it and asked.
"What's that around your neck Raph? I just saw it shining red and it suddenly stopped. Have you always had that? I don't recall seeing it at all."
He looked down and sighed.
"A gift from the Ninja Tribunal. I am a mystic ninja and my element is fire. We all have one actually. Each of us have a specific power."
Larai got up and glared at Milani. Then she disappeared in black smoke. Milani suddenly felt weak and fainted. Leo ran and caught her before she hit the ground. Raphael's shell cell rang and he answered.
"We're running a little late Angel. We had an encounter with the foot clan and Karai's twin sister Larai. Tell Casey we'll be there shortly. Raphael out."
Milani came to after Raphael hung up his shell cell and held her head looking up at a concerned Leo. Leo smiled at her and asked still concerned.
"Are you okay babe? You gave me quite a scare. Are you sure you're still up for the party, we can go home so you can rest."
She nodded at Leo.
"Yes I am fine Leo. My power only comes out when I really need it to. My dad always told me that I was very special. I had no idea about my power until my 13th birthday. The last time my power came out was when I was thirteen. I haven't really used it since that night until now. She is way more skilled and powerful than Karai was. It will take every ounce of my skills, strength, and powers to defeat her. I may not survive!"
Leo brushed her hair from her face and smiled.
"Yes you will babe, you're not alone. You have me, your friends, and my bros to help you."
She smiled as he helped her up. Then they headed to the party. Casey looked at them and shook his head.
"Wow even on Halloween you fight? Come on in, you didn't really miss much. Nice costumes bros, they look so great on you four." Then he winked and they all laughed.
Raphael bopped him.
"Real funny Case, at least we don't need to be in our human form to enjoy ourselves! So what's the big news anyway?"
April smiled as she poured the punch for them.
"We are expecting twins, and Angel keeps on glaring at Aiko. She feels that she's going to hurt you Raph."
Raphael watched as Aiko was dancing on the dance floor with Milani and sighed.
"Her problem is that I refuse to take her back April, she was hurt when I told her that I already have a new girlfriend. It was a few months after I broke up with her and she thinks I'm using Aiko to make her jealous! Which I am not. Aiko won't hurt me she's the perfect match for me. So Angel best keep her mouth shut I am very happy with Aiko."
Aiko saw Raphael and yelled to him.
"Come on I need a partner for this dance Raph. Please come and dance with me."
Raphael finished his punch and joined Aiko on the dance floor. Angel sat on the couch and glared at them as they danced and were having fun. Aiko got tired and sat down next to Angel and looked.
"What is your problem, why are you staring at my man?"
Angel looked at her and yelled.
"I see right through you, I know you are one of the foot members. You're getting close to him so you can lure him alone and hurt him. I am going to tell Raph right now and we'll see if you are still with him!"
Aiko's eyes slanted in anger.
"I don't know what the hell you are talking about. I just got ambushed by the damn foot and fought side by side with Raphael missy so you best back off and deal with the fact you lost Raphael and now he's with me!"
Emerald overheard the conversation and interrupted.
"Whoa back up Angel. Aiko is not a foot member. I was the one that was a former member of the foot. Karai brainwashed me and had me go and kill my friends. So you don't know what you're talking about. Raphael loves Aiko and she loves him. Just give it up already!"
Angel got pissed and slammed the door as she exited the house and headed home. Then Aiko joined Raphael back on the dance floor and kissed him smiling.
"Well she won't be a problem anymore. Emerald just set her straight and she didn't like it. If I would've she would be hurt."
Back in the kitchen Milani sipped her punch and sighed. April looked at her concerned.
"Milani are you okay?"
She responded to April saying.
"Yes April I am fine, just had to fight Larai again. She will be harder to defeat than Karai. I'll just have to train harder that's all. Congratulations on the babies, I can't wait to be an Aunt."
April smiled at her.
"You'll be fine Milani, you have your family behind you. She won't have a chance against you. Now go enjoy the party with your boyfriend."
The night went on and the boys kept getting compliments on their costumes. This made them very happy too. The girls also were happy and were enjoying themselves. The party ended and the couples headed back to the girls' house. Leo made sure he called Master Splinter and told him so he wouldn't worry about them.
In Aiko's room she and Raph laid in bed and she kept on playing with Raphael's medallion. He brushed back her hair and smiled at her.
"Is it that interesting babe? You seem very drawn to my medallion, mind telling me why?"
She sighed.
"I wonder how certain ninjas have powers and others don't. Milani has a power, and we were trained by the same sensei. As for me I'm just a second rate ninja. She made a wave in her palms, and her eyes literally were glowing. Why can't I be special like Milani? I'm no help to her. If she's killed by Larai, I'll never forgive myself. "
Raphael looked over by her jewelry box and saw a red light. He got out of the bed and took it out. Then he handed it to her.
"By any chance was this given to you by Milani's father before you quit being a ninja? It looks like the same necklace that Milani has. But this one has the fire symbol. Listen to me babe each ninja has a power inside. But that is up to him/her to look deep inside and find it. Here put this on, as I tell you a story. It took my brothers and myself years to discover we had powers. Poor Leo was the last to find his. He thought wrong. Mikey found out when he was challenged. We all had to be challenged to release our powers. Why don't you take a nice shower maybe it'll help you relax babe? I'm so bushed night Aiko I love you."
She watched as Raphael fell asleep and then she put on her necklace and entered her shower thinking about what Raph told her.
In Holly's room she thought about tonight's battle and looked at Michelangelo as she lay in bed.
"Mikey I noticed all four of you wear medallions around your neck. What do they stand for if you don't mind me asking?"
He looked at her and smiled.
"Why are you suddenly interested in my medallion babe? I've had it in on since we met. Does it have to do with what happened tonight?"
She shook her head and then she lifted her shirt and sat up.
"Look Mikey do you remember seeing this?"
He sighed and shook his head.
"I'm not really in the mood babe. We had a really long night."
She stared at him.
"I'm not trying to turn you on! I want you to see something I never noticed until we got home tonight when I got out of my shower. This was never here until Milani revealed her powers."
Michelangelo sat up and looked where Holly was pointing. Then his mouth dropped.
"Babe I don't remember seeing that tattoo, is it new?"
She looked at his medallion and said.
"No Mikey it just appeared, it's a whirlwind like the symbol on your medallion."
He shrugged and lay back down.
"I don't know what it means babe I'm turning in. Goodnight babe I love you."
She put her shirt back on and meditated trying to figure out why that tattoo suddenly appeared on her back after tonight's battle. She felt the wind come in the window and shook Mikey.
"Mikey wake up, look I summoned the wind."
He opened his eyes and looked at her.
"I see that babe. Can you stop it now please! I'm so tired and am cold-blooded."
She got mad at him and threw the pillow at his face as she stormed out of her room.
Mikey took the pillow off his face and yelled to her.
"Holly where are you going? Oww that hurt you know! Holly!"
Leo heard wind blowing and entered Holly's room.
"Mikey call off the wind now!"
He shrugged.
"Leo it it's not me I swear. Holly did it and walked off because I got her mad. I was only trying to sleep. I wasn't making fun of her.
In the meantime Raphael woke up when he heard Aiko scream. He got up and saw flames. Then he grabbed the extinguisher and put it out seeing a roach burnt to a crisp. He grabbed Aiko who was freaking out holding her close.
"Calm down babe, what happened?"
She looked at him after she calmed down a little.
"I came out of the shower when something startled me. I looked up there was a fire in the garbage can burning a roach. Then I started to freak out and the fire kept growing! I have no idea how it happened I was scared!"
Leo ran and looked.
"Okay the girls have powers. Well Milani, Aiko, and Holly do. They are going to have to be trained on how to control their powers. Let's all get to sleep."
Milani overheard Leo and looked at him with her arms crossed.
"I resent that remark thank you! I am very capable of controlling my powers! Goodnight Leo!"
She lay in bed with her back turned toward Leo without kissing him goodnight.
Holly also went to bed with her back toward Mikey and didn't kiss him goodnight either. The only ones that were on good terms with the girls were only Raphael and Donatello. They held them close as they slept soundly.
