Clary POV

I knelt next to him and Jace is slowly getting off of him. I could tell no one knew what to say the room was silent eyes wide and jaws dropped. Simon was hugging Izzy jace was staring at Sebastian. Suddenly Magnus and Alec burst into the room, Alec with a dagger rushing to the scene. Jace quickly turned around and stopped him. Alec looked surprised and gave us all a confused look. Sebastian slowly began to get up. Everyone was watching his every move as if he was the old Sebastian. "please let me explain myself." Jace was the first to respond as soon as Sebastian was up on his feet Jace grabbed him by the neck and began strangling him. Sebastian panicked brought his hands up to his neck trying to pry Jace's grip off of him. "no I am going to explain first you are with some psycho bitch who is trying to constantly kill my daughter and you have been working with her so why shouldn't I just kill you right now?" Jace's jaw was clenched and he began to reach for the knife in his jacket. I had no idea what to do..i ran to jace and pushed him off. "let's just hear him out. He could have answers." I turned around I took in the image of him. Wavy blonde hair that was fell on his forehead his structured face and green eyes. "thank you, now before anyone slits my throat I wanted to tell you. I am only working with her because I want to get out. I heard my sister was the one carrying the baby and a part of me felt like I owed you. So I have come to warn you. She does not plan on waiting until the Ninth month for the baby. Once you are eight months and the baby is able to survive she will do anything to take the baby. She might take Clary as well. But since Clary is five months meaning she is six so when she is seven months she will come for the baby. She has prepared for anything that you guys may do."

"so what can I do? How do we stop her?"

Silence fell upon the room and Sebastian took a deep breath. "I don't know. I'm sorry."

Jace pounded his fist on the wall "damn it! What the Hell!" he began walking to Sebastian but Alec grabbed his arm to hold him back "why are you here! You are worthless! You are nothing to us! And once she is born you will never see her! And I will kill you!" Sebastian took a step back. " I know I did wrong to all of you but understand that wasn't me! I'm sorry for everything for killing so many shadow hunters for taking Jace from you guys. I am sorry!" Izzy slowly approached him. "Are you sorry for max? Huh? Are you?" tears began streaming down her face "Well are you!" she is sobbing now and Alec is at her side Izzy pressing her face to his chest as she cried. Sebastian stood there silently. " I can never fix those things but I'm trying to prevent the baby from being killed." Magnus finally stepped forward to him. "how are you here, no one summoned you."

"you aren't going to like it."

"tell me now."

"I came through the portal with those messenger demons."

Jace POV

"Simon, Izzy, Alec please go get ready I want to stay and keep an eye on things." They nodded said their goodbyes and ran out of the room. "Magnus could you stay with him for a minute, I need to talk to Clary in private."

"not for too long I am not very fond of him."

Clary grabbed my hand and I brought her to my room. "Clary-" before I could continue she just hugged me. I wrapped my arms around her and nuzzled my face into her hair inhaling deeply. I pulled back from her and held her hands. "are you okay?" she was silent so I kissed her. She kissed me back and a few seconds later she broke the kiss. "I just want to forget I want to be happy stress free for a day is that too much to ask for?" I took her hand and sat her on the bed next to me. "I have an idea lets make the best of this situation. Let's come up with names for our little girl." She smiled at me "id love to."

"but first lets get comfortable we might be here for a while." I helped her lay down and gave her an extra pillow for her to lay her head on. Soon I laid next to her both of us on our sides facing each other. I put my hand on her tummy and rubbed it with my thumb. "jace.."

"yes?"

"how about ella?"

"No its too girly if you ask me, she needs a name that's fierce and strong like her mother."

"hmm how about Valerie"

"actually Clary I love amber… Amber Fray."

"Fray?"

"yes Fray I just figured just in case-"

"no Amber Herondale and that's final."

"you're letting her have my last name?" I felt my eyes began to water and I smiled she responded with a smile.

"yes Herondale."

I couldn't resist I kissed her long and hard out of pure compassion and love. All I could think was my daughter, Amber Herondale. I deepened the kiss I just wanted it to be me her. I love Clary there are no words to explain how much I loved her and how much she meant to me. I am completely in love with this girl. She let go for a second and I was slightly confused "you okay Clary?" she just smiled and brought my hand to her stomach. She was kicking. I felt her little movements and I watched her. I smiled and looked into clarys eyes her deep green eyes, she is just beyond beautiful. "I love you Clary so much."

"I love you too Jace."suddenly there was a knocking at the door.

"Come in!"

Sebastian and Magnus slowly strolled into the room

"why is he in my room?"

"he was begging me and you guys were taking too long."

Sedation sighed "the demons will be leaving soon so I must go in a few but I will try my best to help you both as bad as it sounds if she gets to your baby and takes her I will protect her and I will try my best to return her to the both of you." Clary sat up out of bed and looked at Sebastian. "if you make that promise and fail I will rip you to pieces that is my promise to you." I grabbed clarys hand and made eye contact with Sebastian "you are not getting her."

He nodded to the both of us. "I must go I will return with an update if I feel a need to warn you about anything."

"wait" he stopped and looked back at me. "yes?"

"who is she?"

"if I told you she would kill me if she found out. But you know who she is trust me."

He walked out of the room and he was gone.

Clary POV

We were down stairs eating pizza all of us, Simon, Izzy, Alec, Magnus, Jace and I. I watched Simon and Izzy sitting at the table laughing and probably catching up. Magnus and Alec were having a playful argument about who knows what then there was Jace and I. We were sitting at the island counter in the kitchen and his hand was on my bump. He smiled kissed his hand and rubbed my tummy. "our little Amber, she's going to be adorable Clary." Suddenly Izzy turned around in her chair, "Wait did you guys come up with Amber is that her name?" Jace nodded his head yes and she came over and hugged him and Simon came and hugged me. "congrats clary you better take care of her!" I laughed and elbowed him. Magnus lifted a glass of scotch "to amber." For once in my life everything felt normal. These are the moments I'm holding out for. Jace was smiling at me. "she has a very big loving family clary."

"I know jace" he leaned over and kissed me."I can't wait clary, I can't wait."
