Missing Angel Chapter 14: Missing Conclusion
Previously on Missing Angel: She sat down on the statue of her late mother, which was positioned perfectly out of sight. "This is it"
XxxX
Shadow hunters piled into the square, unaware of Clary and her protection rune that covered the ground, where they stood. It was like a magical bubble protecting them from harm or more especially her brother.
He arrived through a portal rune. Which Clary had previously created, it pissed her off that he was using her rune. The real question was how did he learn it?
XxxX
"Hello shadow hunters!" he said with a smirk. "I guess you figured that I was coming?"
"Yes, Jonathan. Why are you here?" The inquisitor asked bravely, slowly walking forwards to greet him
"To fight? Isn't it obvious?" he mocked, smiling like a cheshire cat.
"I did too" Clary said. All eyes flew to her. She jumped of the statue, landing with effortless grace.
"Who are you?" he asked
"You don't recognise me?"
"Should I recognise you?"
"You should"
"Stop this utter nonsense and tell me the bloody hell who you are!"
"Well brother" she paused "The name that I go by now is Clary but you may recognise me as the missing angel? Azasarella?"
"Sister" he said sarcastically "What a lovely surprise" he clapped his hands together like he meant serious business.
The word 'sister' echoed around the square. Clary cautiously looked towards the Lightwoods, they seemed shaken and confused. They knew, There was no backing down now. She was ready for it.
"Azasarella" the inquisitor breathed "W..w...Why are you here?" He asked, his voice breaking due to pure amazement.
"To kill my beloved brother before he harms any more precious shadow-hunter." Clary said with devil-like voice.
"Why do you want to kill me?" He asked innocently
"For murdering our mother and framing me" she yelled. Clary grabbed her bow and released a few arrows right into his leg. He yelped in pain but pulled them out, without too much pain.
"So you found out. Well I won't miss our mother, she was too delicate, definitely not like you." He mocked with a gleeful smile.
Without another thought, she shot three more arrow in a few seconds, she then put away her bow and drew her swords. They glowed light blue, like the colour of the Atlantic sea.
"If this is how you want to fight then I will not stop you" he said fairly and he drew his own sword which glowed bright red like blood. So much like the blood of his victims. Dousing it in their blood, while standing over his victim's life-less body.
"Fine" she muttered
They leapt at each other like lions, fighting over their food. The sounds of seraph blades clashing echoed around for miles, the siblings kept moving and flinging themselves around like they were invincible and impassable.
After a while, they stopped, like they needed to catch their breaths but they didn't need to.
"Why did you start turning shadow-hunters?" she asked holding a sword to his neck as a threatening gesture.
"To have an army."
She looked at him with pure disgust
"What?" he asked "Wouldn't you want a personal army that you could conquer the world with?"
"I could do that on my own, so why can't you? Too lazy?" she mocked him, showing her derisive smile.
He growled
"Well, you were never the one to fight your own battles" she said simply
"You never did"
"Because you and Raziel were too busy torturing me for supposedly 'killing' my own mother?" she shouted before cutting his leg with her knife.
"You stupid bitch." he said, trying to tend to his shallow wound. "You will pay for this!"
"Really? Just for cutting your leg? How much trouble can I get in?" she mocked sarcastically, acting like she was actually afraid but she feigned to fear him.
"You are getting severely punished for leaving the angel universe."
"Why? I didn't want to. Before I fell, I felt hands on my back pushing me out the universe!" She shouted at him, trying to define her fury.
He smiled like he knew something that was concealed from her. She wanted to know.
Like magic, a voice came from the sky.
"Oh my" she said once she had figured out what was about to happen. She looked to the ground and swung her sword around on the ground, engraving circles into the grass. She looked like a shy little girl, who was seemingly innocent.
"Azasarella, you have committed several crimes and you must be punished according to our laws" a familiar voice said
"Raziel, were you sent? Did my charming brother still serve you? Isn't he old enough to look after himself?" She said
"Your brother works on his own terms. He desired to come to earth and find you and then end you as punishment for all your grievous sins."
"Do you still me to suffer? I think I have suffered too much at your hands alone" she yelled at the air "Let me live and you will never hear of me again. I will disappear."
"It is far passed the time for noble sacrifice" Then Raziel disappeared into the cloud.
"I guess it is" she said quietly
She drew out the stake from her jacket pocket.
"You mean to kill me" he said, his face solemn and heart-broken.
A few seconds past. His face turned into a smirk. "You love killing, don't you?" He laughed, he exploded into a fit of laughter.
She took this sudden opportunity to strike.
As she went to plunge the stake into his chest, towards his dark heart, a hand grabbed the stake.
"You honestly think I would come here and not trained enough to see a sneak attack coming from miles away?" He said, slowly looking around to look her dead in her eyes.
Clary looked frightened. He had figured out her master plan. Her life was hanging in the balance. Would she survive this epic showdown?
XxxX
He prised the stake out of her frail fingers. Then aimed the stake towards her heart. Her heart flew into action, it picked up the steady pace and hammered against her chest, making her body ache with pain.
He smiled, knowing that he was going to kill her and she had a terrified but gruelling smile that plastered her freckled face.
With all her energy, she forced it to direct the stake away from her heart. Her hands tried to push him away but every weak attempt failed.
Suddenly, he was pulled backwards. She breathed a sigh of relief. She stood up straight and straightened her jacket and swept her long and curly red hair out of her face.
Turning around, she looked for what or who had saved her life. Behind her brother was the clan of vampires. In front of the mighty clan was Simon.
"Simon, no" she whispered, hoping her silent prayer would be heard and acted upon.
"Ahh. Vampires." He said turning to face them, saying "Is she" he pointed at Clary "-forcing you to fight?"
"No. This is of our own volition" Simon said, being the courageous leader he was.
"So you are marching you merrily way to death?" He joked.
"No. We are here to assist Azasarella in battle, however we can" Simon said looking sympathetically at her. She smiled weakly at him. She didn't want him to die for her.
"Whoever is an ally of hers is an enemy of mine" he said. "Go to your deaths, knowing that you died in battle"
"NO" Clary screamed, running towards a brave-hearted Simon, but she was too late.
Damorenzo used his angel powers over the earth to move the clouds to let the sun shine brightly.
And so, the vampires burned, they yelped and screamed out in pain. Their skin turning a horrible coal like colour.
After all the commotion had died down, a pile of charred bodies littered the square.
Damorenzo, smiled a gleeful smile, he was pleased with the outcome.
"You will pay for this." She screamed viciously. She ran at him with all her remaining strength, he obviously wasn't prepared for this attack. She easily drew out the stake from out of his strong hold. With her agility, she quickly stabbed him through his chest, she had staked him through the heart.
He looked down at his chest, sorrow filled his heart. He looked longingly at his sister.
"I just wanted to live in peace, you threatened it. I just wanted peace" he said
"Ave atque vale Damorenzo. You got what you deserved." She said, his body had turned to stone, in the position he had died in.
She looked at her brother, incased in rock solid stone. She thought about what to do next, but there was only one option left. So, she kicked it until it turned to dust. All her frustration and anger went out on that lump of stone.
When her rage had subsided, she looked back at the stone, it was in tiny minuscule pieces.
Then, pleased with his demise, she looked at the shadow-hunters, awaiting her fate.
Authors note:
Wow. I'm so sorry about the my long absence. I was going to update on my birthday but mock exams and other projects got in the way. I'm back now. There is only one chapter and then the epilogue left. :)
I'm sorry that I killed Simon, I felt it would give her the motivation to kill him. There wasn't much of a battle, I wanted a confrontation than a battle.
What you guys think of the new Shadowhunter cast? I think they are amazing!
I don't own the mortal instruments, the amazing Cassandra Clare does.
I will try to update as quick as possible. Thanks for sticking with me. You guys are the best! Please review, it makes me update quicker!
Thankyou! (Anyone spot the hunger games reference?) ;)
