Chapter 14
Gohan stood there flabbergasted by the sight of his dearly departed uncle, or rather his now alive uncle.
"Ah so it was you that killed this man I must thank you, for without you I would never have been reborn." Dr Wheelo said.
"What are you talking about?" Gohan asked.
"On our quest for the dragon balls we stumbled on to this body I am inhabiting, but it was quite damaged, at first I thought it was nothing but a waste of time, but my associate Dr. Kochin thought not, he took the body with us and managed to reconstruct the shattered bones and managed to make the flesh as good as new." Wheelo started explaining. Suddenly Wheelo charged forward catching Gohan off guard and punched the boy hard in the face sending him flying back to a wall.
"GOHAN!" cried Master Roshi. Roshi then charged up to his maximum and buffed up considerably, and went to attack Wheelo. Unfortunately for the old man, Wheelo was just to fast and strong for him. As Roshi threw his first punch Wheelo phased out and appeared right behind Roshi and kicked him off to the side, rendering him unconscious. Gohan got up from where he lay and saw Roshi get hit, this caused Gohan to start to get angry.
"HAAAAAAAAAAA" Gohan yelled out as he powered up to his max. Wheelo seeing Gohan power up gave a signal to his siabamen. All at once the 200 green men charged at Gohan. Gohan was ready this time however and zoomed forward to meet his enemies. Gohan flew to the closest siabamen to him and punched him so hard the green monster fell to the ground dead. When Gohan's fist left the first Siabamen he immediately punched another down and another after that and another after that. Gohan was swatting the siabamen away like they were flies until Wheelo charged through the swarming siabamen and punched Gohan I the gut.
"Ugh" Gohan went flying back a bit due to the force behind the blow. Wheelo didn't stop there as he then went on to hit Gohan again but Gohan managed to dodge. 'HE is stronger than Raditz was, when he fought dad, and he is almost as strong as I am.' Gohan thought.
"After this body was healed we managed to move my brain into it" Wheelo continued his explanation as the two threw blow after blow at each other. Gohan tried to kick Wheelo on the side of the head but Wheelo managed to catch it. Wheelo then whipped Gohan on the ground over and over again while continuing his explanation to the boy.
"Then the good managed to jump start the body with 20000 volts, at first I could hardly control myself, but after a bit of training in the body I now control it completely." Wheelo then threw the boy over to the crowd of siabamen. Gohan composed himself as he was flying through the air and then pushed right through the green army, and did a 360 turn and went flying right back to Wheelo. Gohan was just about to hit Wheelo when he phased out surprising the elder warrior. Gohan then appeared behind Wheelo and did a sweep kick on his legs causing Wheelo to get disoriented, Gohan then sent an upper cut to the back of Wheelo's head sending him flying up. Gohan then started to charge an attack.
"KA…ME…HA…ME…HAAAAAA" Gohan chanted as he released the large blue wave towards his enemy. Wheelo turned around just in time to see the large beam before it engulfed him. When the blast dissipated still up in there air was Wheelo, his black battle armor now gone leaving him in a skin tight black suit.
"Impressive boy, this is truly exciting, I will finally be able to test this bodies full potential against a worthy opponent." Wheelo then erupted in a red aura as he began to power up. Gohan stood in shock as Wheelo's power went beyond his own.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAA" Wheelo yelled out as he finished powering up.
"Well boy are you impressed?" Wheelo asked
"Heh, I'll admit you were strong before, but now you surpassed me, it looks like I will actually need to go all out now." Gohan said. Wheelo's eyes widened when he heard the boy.
"What, you were holding back?" Gohan simply smirked as he grabbed hold of the green undershirt he wore and ripped it off, he also took off his wristbands and kicked his boots off. After all his weights were off Gohan powered up to his absolute maximum, being equal to Wheelo.
"Amazing, a boy of your age with this strength." Wheelo stood shocked as Gohan floated up to meet him.
"So, ready for round two?" Gohan asked confidently. Wheelo wasted no time as he charged at Gohan.
Dr Kochin was watching the entire thing on the screens and was in awe watching these titans fight, it was something he had never seen before, but he was starting to get worried. His master Wheelo may have trouble with the boy and may possibly lose. Kochin then turned on the microphone.
"My siabamen, join our master in the fight, attack the boy." Kochin said as all the siabamen who had been standing dormant for a while charged into battle. Gohan and Wheelo were flying around the room throwing blow after blow at each other, it seemed to be a stalemate as both were throwing attacks of equal power to the other, neither of them gaining any sort of ground when suddenly Gohan was swarmed by a bunch of siabamen and they all tackled the boy to the ground. Wheelo took his opportunity and crashed down through the siabamen and right onto Gohan's back causing major damage. Wheelo then picked the boy up and threw him to the other wall making a large crater in it. Gohan was having trouble moving now. From what he was feeling he guessed that a couple ribs were broken. Before Gohan could even get up another crowd of siabamen all toppled on top of the boy. Even though Gohan was still a lot stronger than them, there was so many siabamen that Gohan just couldn't get out of the hold he was in.
"Ahh and now we are at an end to our magnificent fight" Wheelo said as he walked over to the boy covered by the siabamen. Wheelo then began to charge up for an attack.
"Now I will end this little distraction and then get back to work, after all someone needs to put the people of this planet in there place." Wheelo was about to blast Gohan away when he felt a hand on his shoulder. Wheelo looked around and saw a very angry green face.
"Not today." The green man said as he threw Wheelo to the other side of the arena. Gohan looked toward his savior and saw it was none other than his mentor Piccolo.
"Piccolo!" Gohan exclaimed happily. Gohan noticed that all the siabamen were distracted looking at Piccolo, he used that to his advantage and began powering up again and blew them all off of him.
"I'm disappointed Gohan, I told you before not to underestimate you're opponents no matter how weak they are and look what you did, you underestimated you're opponents, now you need me to bail you out." Piccolo scolded the boy, Gohan just smiled though.
"You know me Piccolo, I'm like my dad, we both like a challenge where we can find it, but I've had my fun, it's time we end this." Gohan said as he went to his maximum power yet again. Piccolo looked at the boy surprised. 'Gohan is back at full strength even after being injured, you would think he would be a bit weaker but he isn't, he is as strong as ever.' Piccolo thought. Wheelo then Got up and looked over to Gohan and saw Piccolo with him.
"Grr, looks like we have an infestation, I am gonna have to exterminate you." Wheelo said as he powered up again. Piccolo threw his weights off and readied himself.
'Siabamen, attack the intruders now!" Dr Kochin said over the intercom. The remaining siabamen then charged at Gohan and Piccolo. Piccolo extended his arm and grabbed a saibaman and then whipped the green monster around a number of them surrounding the two warriors. Gohan charged forward and met Wheelo's fist with his own causing a shock wave. Gohan then used his size to his advantage and ducked so low that Wheelo couldn't reach him. Gohan then sprung up and hit Wheelo hard in the chin with his head.
"Piccolo" Gohan called out.
"Right" Piccolo blasted the siabamen that were in front of him away with a mouth blast then launched himself up to Wheelo and smacked him down to the ground, but before Wheelo could reach the ground Gohan appeared below Wheelo and just as Wheelo was about to fall on the boy, Gohan punched up and hit the large man in the gut making him tremble in pain. Piccolo was phasing in and out going siabamen to siabamen, chopping one's head off, then blasting one away, then smashing them down onto the ground. With Wheelo down Gohan took the opportunity to join Piccolo in taking down the remaining Siabamen. Gohan flew through the crowd of Siabamen blasting each with a Ki blast and then landing near Piccolo.
"Well we are almost done, just a bit more" Gohan said.
"Well why don't you use that technique you were developing, see if it works." Piccolo suggested.
"Alright" Gohan said as he began to charge red energy in his hands. Piccolo flew back to get out of its range. All the remaining siabamen then charged toward Gohan trying to stop him, but Gohan just smiled.
"NOVA CANNON" Gohan yelled out and unleashed that large red ball going through the siabamen like they weren't even there killing all of them. Gohan then moved his hand over toward Wheelo and the large red Ki orb followed. Wheelo managed to get up from the pain of being punched so hard just in time to see Gohan's attack heading towards him.
"No… this can't be." Wheelo said as the orb engulfed him and destroyed him.
Dr Kochin was looking on his computer screen and saw his master be incinerated. The doctor was at a loss for words, his master was dead, all his siabamen were dead, he didn't have anything left. Suddenly the door for his lab burst open and in came the boy that killed his master.
" You… you killed him." Kochin yelled as he lunged for the boy, but Gohan simply pushed him back with a bit of energy.
"Now then about my mother and her friends?" Gohan asked Kochin. Kochin was afraid, more afraid then he had ever been in in his life. He was shaking at the mere thought of what this boy could do to him.
"Of course… they are… they are in there." Kochin said as he pointed toward a door on the other side of the room. Piccolo then walked in behind Gohan lifting Master Roshi over his shoulder.
"I'll keep an eye on this one kid, go see if there okay." Piccolo said Gohan nodded and ripped the door off its hinges. Inside Gohan did in fact find his mother and Bulma and his mother, the two of them were in a cell and both were unconscious.
"Mom!" Gohan called out as he went and yanked the cell door off. Gohan then ran to his mother.
"Mom…Mom can you hear me?" Gohan called out as he shook his mother.
"G…G…Gohan?" Chichi asked as she began to stir.
"Hey mom it's me, Bulma wake up I'm here to rescue you." Gohan said as he began to shake Bulma awake too. Chichi sat up and looked around at first not understanding what was going on but then she looked at her son and all the confusion went away.
"AHHHHHHH MY BABY BOY, HE IS HERE, MY BABY IS HERE, I CANT BELIEVE ITS YOU, LOOK AT YOU YOU HAVE GROWN SO BIG, OH YOU LOOK SO MUCH LIKE YOUR FATHER, OH MY BABY BOY." Chichi screamed in delight as she hugged her son.
"Aww mom, I missed you too" Gohan said as he hugged her back. Unfortunately though Chichi's mood changed like the wind.
"I HAVE BEEN LOOKING ALL OVER FOR YOU FOR SIX MONTHS AND WHERE WERE YOU YOUNG MAN, YOU WERE OUT TRAINING, TRAINING WITH YOUR FATHERS WORST ENEMY ON TOP OF THAT, I KNEWFROM THE START THAT YOU TRAINING WASA BAD IDEA, WELL NO MORE, YOU ARE COMING HOME AND YOU WILL DO NOTHING BUT STUDY, DO YOU REALISE HOW MUCH YOU HAVE MISSED YOU, AT THE RATE YOU ARE GOING, YOU WILL NOT HAVE AN EDUCATION AT ALL AND END UP ON THE SIDE OF THE STREET BEGGING FOR MONEY, DO YOU WANT THAT, WELL I DON'T, AND THAT'S WHY YOU ARE GOING TO STUDY FROM NOW ON AND THAT'S THAT." Chichi yelled at her son. With all the yelling Piccolo accidentally dropped Master Roshi causing the old man to wake up, Bulma also woke up due to the yelling.
"What is all that racket I'm trying to sleep" Roshi asked.
"But mom, dad and mister Krillin died trying to save me from Raditz, if I hadn't have trained then we all could have died that day." Gohan said trying to reason with his mother.
"NO, I DON'T CARE YOU'RE FATHER COULD HAVE HANDELED IT HIMSELF HE DIDN'T NEED TO SEND HIS FUR YEAR OLD SON INTO BATTLE." Chichi yelled again. Bulma was just now understanding what was going in and tried to put her two cents in.
"But Chichi, that's not what happened, Raditz kidnapped Gohan." Bulma said.
"AND IF GOHAN WASN'T THERE TO BEGIN WITH HE WOULDENT HAVE BEEN KIDNAPED, I KNEW GOING THERE WAS A BAD IDEA, AND I KNOW FOR A FACT THEY ARE A BAD INFLUENCE ON MY GOHAN SO FROM NOW ON GOHAN YOU ARE NOT ALOWED TO SEE ANY OF YOUR FATHERS FRIENDS IS THAT UNDERSTROOD." Chichi raged on. Gohan himself was starting to get angry and what his mother was saying. Piccolo was looking at the boy and knew what was coming.
"Hey it think we should all calm down." Piccolo said trying to stop Gohan from erupting. Chichi then looked over to Piccolo and got a look of pure hatred.
"AND YOU, YOU GO AHEAD AND JUST TAKE MY SON, DOING GOD KNOWS WHAT TO HIM, PROBABLY CORUPTING HIM WITH SOME WEIRD DEMON MAGIC TO MAKE HIM YOUR SLAVE, WELL NO MORE OF THAT, HE IS COMING HOME AND WE WILL FORGET ABOUT ALL OF THIS, GOHAN WILL STUY AND BECOME A SCHOLLOR, AND THEN ALL OF YOU GUYS CAN TAKE CARE OF THIS WORLD IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH US." Chichi continued on.
"But Chichi, Gohan is one of the strongest fighters on earth, we will need him when the Sayains come." Roshi said trying also to be the voice of reason.
"THAT IS NONE OF OUR CONSERNE, WE ARE GOING HOME AND GOHAN WILL BE A GOOD LITTLE BOY FOR ME AND DO HIS HOMEWORK AND WHEN HE GROWS UP HE WILL BECOME THE GREATEST SCHOLOR IN THE WORLD" Chichi continued. This was the final straw for Gohan, he couldn't hold it in anymore and just exploded.
"AND WHAT IF THERE IS NO WORLD HERE MOTHER" Gohan yelled. Everyone's eyes were on him now. The entire complex was shaking due to the power Gohan was producing.
'My god, his power is enormous, he is even stronger than before.' Piccolo thought.
"WHAT MOM, NOTHING TO SAY TO THAT, WHAT IF WHEN THE SAYAIN COME THEY KILL EVERYONE, AND ITS JUST YOU AND ME, WHAT THEN, I CANT BE A SCHOLOR BECAUSE THE WORLD IS GONE, I HAVE TO TRAIN, I HAVE TO PROTECT THIS EARTH JUST LIKE MY DAD DID BEFORE ME, HE DIED PROTECTING NOT ONLY ME BUT ALSO THE EARTH, AND THAT IS WHAT I WILL DO TO, WITH OR WITHOUT YOUR BLESSING." Gohan yelled. Everyone was staring at Gohan in shock, especially chichi. Gohan couldn't take it anymore, He aimed up and blasted a hole through the dome and flew away. Piccolo was about to follow suit but he decided to say one last thing.
"Gohan is a person, not your little toy that you can groom to your liking, I learned that the second I started training with him, if you couldn't figure that out on your own, then terrible parent." Piccolo then followed Gohan out of the hole leaving Chichi, Roshi and Bulma there.
"Okay, let's just get the dragon ball and get out of here, I'm getting sick of this place." Bulma said.
And so Bulma grabbed her radar and found the dragon ball quickly enough. Roshi, Bulma and Chichi then managed to get back to their capsule plane and took off for Kame house. Chichi didn't say a word for the entire trip. As for Dr. Kochin, after everyone left, he sulked there for days, before finally deciding that it was time for him to move on, so he set up the self-destruct sequence and waited until finally he was at peace. Gohan flew all the way back to where he and Piccolo were training before, when he landed he broke down into tears. How could his mother be so selfish, he knew that she was just trying to protect him from the dangers of the world, and he knew that no four year old should ever go through what he has gone through already, but he wasn't just any four year old. He was Son Gohan, the son of Son Goku, and weather he liked it or not, he had a duty to this world and it was something that Gohan would live with to the day he died, but it was his burden to bare. Piccolo then landed beside Gohan and he saw him crying. Gohan then called to him.
"Piccolo…" Gohan said as he tried to wipe his tears away.
"What is it?" Piccolo asked. Gohan then stood up and turned around, his eyes all puffy and red from crying, his outfit in taters thanks to the fight he had earlier, but even if he had just been crying and looked like he had been through a meat grinder, to Piccolo, he saw strength, pure strength coming from the boy.
"I want you to fix my clothes up, I want you to also double the weight on my clothes." Gohan said. Piccolo didn't say anything, he just simply changed Gohan's clothes with his materialization ability. Now Gohan stood there his dark purple GI fixed his green undershirt weighing double.
"Thank you Piccolo, now, let's start" Gohan said as he went into battle stance. Piccolo smiled, he knew that the boy must be hurting from what his mother said, but he was playing it off well. The two warriors didn't know how long it would take for the Sayains to arrive but they knew that they had to be ready and so training resumed.
