15 years later

"You aren't leaving the house looking like that and meeting him" Beth rolled her eyes at her father before turning to face him and placing her hands on her hips.

"What's wrong with Mike then dad?" Rhydian stopped and looked at his 15 year old daughter and sighed

"He's a bad influence on you. Before you met him you would never have got in trouble at school"

"Like mum placing your football trophy on the school roof" Beth smirked at her father who seemed speechless.

"Go but invite him round for dinner one day soon" Maddy stood in front of her daughter and placed one hand on Rhydians arm. Beth smiled at her mum before running out the front door. Rhydian moved to watch her through the kitchen window, determined to actually catch Michael and Beth together. Maddy laughed softly at Rhydian and said

"You realise who you are acting like?" Rhydian turned and looked at Maddy puzzled

"No, who?"

"My mum and dad. When I first started hanging round with you, they didn't agree" Rhydian shook his head and replied

"That's different" Maddy shook her head and replied

"And why is it different?" Rhydian pulled Maddy closer and leaned his forehead against hers.

"I proved them wrong" Maddy giggled and replied

"Yeah, five years later. He's here"

Together they watched as a tall dark haired boy stood on the tree line, waiting hesitantly. Rhydian softly began to growl before Maddy slapped his arm and said

"Oh, hush" The boy looked around then stepped back as Beth launched herself from a tree and began to run away from him laughing. A second later the boy followed her, matching Beth's speed, almost catching her. Rhydian laughed and said

"Elizabeth's got my style" Maddy laughed

"And your temper" Rhydian pulled Maddy away from the window, towards their bedroom.

"At least we've got some time to ourselves" Maddy smiled, leaned up to kiss him and shut their bedroom door.
