So here's another chapter. Hope you guys like it.

I got nothing to say. Hopefully this chapter does.

Waiting for your valuable feedback.

Why couldn't life be like fairytales?

You fall for the wrong guy but you have your Prince Charming waiting out for you somewhere. He comes to your aid when you need him the most as your knight in shining armor. He fights for you. You fall in love forgetting everything and then you ride away to the setting sun for your happily ever after.

And the answer lied in itself.

In life there was no way to forget what happened with you. You are bound to live with the haunting memory of that hurt. The only way to forget is either you get caught in an accident and suffer amnesia which is almost similar to the occurrence of Hayley's comet or you end your life. Quitting life in the immediate moment seems so easy; not to think about the torturous moments that life showed you, or think about the hardships that it may show you.

But dying is easy. It's living life that is painful.

But alas life doesn't allow quitting so easily. Now does it?

Rey was proud of the way Kria had stood up against Sameer and his allegations. He couldn't believe the extent to which Sameer had fallen down whilst blaming Kria. The guy never failed to surprise him about the levels he could sweep down to. This situation came out to be no exception regarding that. Driving back to house Rey felt sorry for the way things turned out for Kria. She never ever deserved any of this. She had been so strong during the entire thing and she really deserved this evening – she had earned it. But trust Sameer to ruin everything for Kria. He always did.

Rey pulled up in their driveway and helped Kria out. For the entire drive, Kria had been exceptionally quiet. He really didn't expect her to be exactly chirpy but neither had he expected the stony silence. They walked to the apartment and not even a word came out of her mouth. Finally they got inside and Kria started moving inside her room, but Rey stopped him.

Making her turn towards him, he spoke softly.

"Say something… anything… but something. Don't hold it to yourself. You wouldn't gain anything but more suffocation… more pain… more regret."

He looked intently in her eyes trying to gauge her reactions. He really wanted to know what was going inside her. He didn't want her to get locked up in her nutshell again. She had come a long way from there and he didn't want her to visit those depths again.

"Krys…. Please…."

He pleaded making her face him. But she pulled her hand out of his grip vehemently.

"So what do you expect, huh? That I come back with this smile plastered on my face that it is all over…. What do you want me to be? Happy that I get to slap him in the public…. as he gets to humiliate me in front of those people out there in the club… Or better I be held guilty for something I would never ever dream of doing. Still better that I get to hear all the accusations for loving him years… for waiting for him years…. What the fuck do you expect, Rey?"

She shouted as the dam of her emotions finally broke out. She couldn't even imagine in her dreams that Sameer would think that low of her. Of all those years of love and loyalty, she got in return were those accusations. She wasn't sad but enraged over what her fiancé…. ex-fiance thought of her. She saw the stone in her hand that had been the symbol of their love remembering the time when he had made her wear it vowing to never leave her side…. to be there with her… always.

A drop of tear made its way down. Taking out the ring she threw it out… trying to bury those memories… those emotions with it.

But the only thing with the memories was the verity that they never can be buried no matter how hard one tried.

"Krys…"

Rey moved towards her in order to reach out to her but she pulled her hand back.

"Don't you dare Krys me… It's all because of you… Hadn't you come into my life, none of this would have ever happened. We would have been together… He wouldn't have left me."

She shouted out and then broke down crying. The realization hit her hard - that Sameer had moved on over her while she was still stuck in the moment. She sat down by the wall and cried out loud. Rey came by her side and sat down in order to comfort her. He felt extremely helpless seeing her like that. It broke his heart witnessing her like this but he just couldn't do anything. So he just sat there… sat whilst she cried her heart out on his shoulder.

"Why? Why Rey? Why did he do this to me? Wasn't I good enough? Didn't I deserve some happiness? Then how could he? How could he just walk upon me like some trampled flower not even making an attempt to see how I was? How I had been? Didn't I deserve even a fraction of his attention? Was I that meaningless in his life that he didn't even care to look back at me?"

"It is not like that….."

"Then tell me how it is Rey. If it is not like this then what it is Rey… speak out."

Kria looked up to face him wanting to find out something… anything that could say that there was hope. Rey took a deep breath and then spoke.

"Honestly Krys… I don't know how it is… I want to say everything would be all right.. have faith.. have patience.. but in reality… I don't know… I just know that you didn't deserve it… and he was a jerk to do this to you… Have faith…"

"What if things don't turn out to be right?"

She spoke resting her head on his side. Rey turned towards her and cupped her face.

"They do…. They always do… It just takes time…"

He spoke softly staring intently in her eyes. She looked so helpless. The tear marks could be made out so clearly. She looked weak, fragile… so unlike her real self. She looked so broken that it ached his heart.

Kria looked into those eyes that held so much care for her. There was Sameer, who wasn't there for her ever when he was supposed to… love her… and be there for her. And there was Reyansh… who was there for her without any expectations… and because he cared for her. He looked out for her because he wanted to… not because he was supposed to or it was his obligation. He as just there… and that in this moment meant the world to her.

They gazed into each other's eyes which seemed like an eternity, making no attempt to sway. The serenity of the moment lied in that stillness and the quietness they were sharing. Not realizing, what they were doing or what would it hold for them in the future, slowly they moved towards each other. It was as if they needed it and not want it. Moving slowly, they meshed their lips together just giving up in the moment. Rey tucked the strand of the hair behind her ear as he brought her face closer strengthening the kiss. Kria moaned softly as his tongue moved over her lips, caressing it… savouring it. Taking it as a chance, he moved his tongue inside her mouth, seeking its sweetness. His touch wasn't harsh but soft and light like he was healing her pains, relieving her out of it. She sighed in contentment as he continued his administrations, and cherished the feeling that ran inside her, of being cared for… of being wanted… of being loved.

Slowly he pulled away and she opened her eyes to stare into those hazel ones. Heaving out a deep sigh she retained her position as she nestled beneath him over his shoulder feeling peaceful.

Neither of them spoke a word and they kept sitting there. They didn't want to ruin the moment. Both of them were too emotionally spent to think about the impending or the future or what might happen after the kiss. They just cherished the moment they experienced some time back soaking in the feeling of having at least the other by their side.

"How much time Reyansh?"

Kria asked softly still staring out in front resting her head by his shoulder.

"I don't know Krys…. I just don't know…"

And soon exhaustion took over lulling them into a tired but peaceful sleep.

Thoughts.
