Keep sending me reviews! I love to hear what you do or don't like and what you guys think should happen next!

The next morning Haley and Nathan showed up at Brooke's bright and early to help her set up her new house. They were surprised when they found Lucas already standing in the kitchen with a box of donuts talking to Brooke.

"Well look what the cat dragged in" Brooke laughed when she saw Haley and Nathan come through the door.

"Who knew getting here at 8 we would be the late comers" Haley gave Brooke a look warning her she'd need details later. Nathan just walked over to Lucas and took a donut before plopping onto the couch. "So what's the plans for today?"

"Well we have lots to do. We need to put away all my clothes and stuff from your house. Go shopping for a new comforter along with a few other odds and ends. Maybe do some grocery shopping…"

"Hold on a sec Bee," Nathan interrupted "So you woke me up at the crack of dawn to do things you and Haley can do on your own. No heavy lifting involved."

Brooke just smirked at Nathan knowing she could always get her way with him. "I just wanted to see everybody."

"Come on." Nathan grunted and retreated back to the couch and continued to watch cartoons with Jason.

"Hey Nate it's not so bad, you get to spend the day with the two most beautiful women in Tree Hill and you oh so handsome brother." Lucas joked. The boys started playing outside with Jason as Haley and Brooke began to organize all the clothes and toys from Haley and Nathan's house.

"So what's going on with Lucas?" Haley looked at her best friend as they folded clothes.

"Nothing's going on, we're just friends."

"Really? You're gonna pull the just friends thing with me?" Haley raised her eyebrow at Brooke not believing a single thing she said.

"I don't know Hales." Brooke flopped on the bed and put her face in her pillow. "I don't want to let him, I don't wanna get hurt again. But he's been saying all the right things and being so charming just like Lucas always is." Brooke paused to think for a minute. "And he called me pretty girl last night."

Brooke looked up to watch Haley's reaction when she said that. "Oh Brooke, he still loves you." Haley was shocked Lucas had used his old pet name for Brooke. "I always knew he did, but that pretty much is him admitting it to you."

"That's not the problem Hales, I don't doubt his love for me. I just doubt my ability to trust in him again." Brooke sighed when she heard footsteps coming up the stairs.

"Hey girls, we're getting hungry down here." Nathan yelled from outside the door. The two girls laughed at how the boys were always hungry. They walked out the door and downstairs to their waiting boys.

"What do you guys say we make a quick trip to the mall and have lunch in the food court and then I'll do some quick shopping and we'll be done for the day?" Brooke smiled at them hoping the boys would agree to come shopping.

"You and quick shopping?" Nathan asked skeptic of Brooke's plans, she was never one to be quick in a mall.

"I promise Natey" Brooke gave Nathan puppy dog eyes as she picked up Jason and her car keys.

"Fine let's go." Nathan huffed.

"You're such a push over man." Lucas slapped his brother on the back.

"Oh please Luke, like you wouldn't have said the same thing." Lucas just smiled back at his brother knowing it was true.

After eating in the food court, Jason was getting antsy and wouldn't stop whining. "I guess so much for shopping today, we better just head home." Brooke sighed.

"Hey what if me and Luke just take him home and you girls go shopping." Nathan suggested.

"I'll stay with Brooke, you guys go home and relax." Lucas suggested knowing Haley was tired too.

"You sure?" Brooke looked up at Lucas grateful for his offer.

"Of course." He smiled down at her. Haley and Nathan sensing what was going on quickly scooped up Jason and said their goodbyes. Lucas and Brooke were having a great time just walking around the mall and Brooke had found a purple and blue comforter on clearance at JCPenney that she was able to afford and was really cute, so she was happy. Just as they were walking out of the mall Brooke spotted a familiar head of blonde curls headed their way. Lucas must have noticed too because he put his hand on her back just pushing her to keep walking.

"Well, well what do we have here. It seems Tree Hills very own Queen Slut has returned." Peyton walked up to them her eyes glued to Brooke's. The ex-best friends hadn't seen each other since graduation. Brooke didn't say anything and just looked down at her shoes. "What, you don't have anything to say to your very best friend. That's a first, I didn't know you knew how to keep your mouth shut with all the lies and gossiping you do." Lucas once again started pushing Brooke toward the car knowing the best thing to do was just get them out of this situation. The second they got to the car, he noticed the tears welling up in Brooke's eyes.

"Hey, don't listen to her." Lucas pulled Brooke in for a hug.

"Its hard hearing someone that used to be your best friend say such hurtful things. You know, I miss Peyton and our friendship everyday and she's made it pretty clear I never meant anything to her." Brooke pulled away from Lucas and just got into the car, where they drove home not saying another word to eachother.
