Every so often I like to throw in a side story, so this is the second one. And, even though they aren't introduced in the story yet. Camus and Ai are both gender-swapped. So, Ai is still Ai because it's used for both genders, and Camus is Camelia.

Extra Chapter: Overheating

Tokiya wasn't much of a summer person, he couldn't handle heat well. So, the energy of the group was somewhat off-putting as they dragged him around to festivals, camping trips, barbeques. But when Otomi and Reiji decided they should go to the beach he wasn't against it, swimming in the cool water would be much more enjoyable than roasting marshmallows. They drove to a private beach owned by Shining, with his permission of course, so that they would be able to enjoy it amongst themselves. With the exception of Ai-senpai and Camelia-senpai who weren't much for swimming, every changed into their bathing suits as quickly as they could. There were two bathrooms/changing rooms, so the guys took one side and the girls the other.

"I love the beach! I love the beach!" Reiji sang as he, Tokiya, and Natsuki changed.

"Me too, I just love the ocean." Natsuki said, smiling.

"The oceans nice, but...isn't the best part the swimsuits?" Reiji said, surprising both Natsuki and Tokiya. Tokiya just sighed and ignored him, after all, that was just his sempai's nature. Natsuki had started blushing. Tokiya watched Reiji tease him from the corner of his eye, "Ah, are you picturing Yui-chan? Na-chan's surprisingly perverted."

"N..no!"

"The only pervert here is you." Tokiya said coldly, causing Reiji to pretend to pout.

"So mean! I'm going to tattle on you to Otomi-chan!" He cried, following Tokiya as he left the changing room.

"And say what?" Tokiya glared at him, not holding back.

"How excited you are to see her swimsuit..."

"I never said such a thing." They moved to sit under the umbrella fort they'd set up for shade, Natsuki had headed off to the ocean to swim with everyone but Ai and Camelia, who were also under the shade of the umbrellas, and Nanami and Otomi, who were the last ones changing.

Ai was listening to her headphones and Camelia was absorbed in a book, but Tokiya still didn't want to continue this conversation. Yes, Tokiya was in love with Otomi, but that didn't mean he was the same as Reiji; interested in seeing as much skin as possible. They were as different as night and day.

"Why aren't you in the water?" Tokiya jumped at the voice right behind him, apparently Otomi had crept up on him without him realizing it.

"I'm just about to go in, what about...you." Tokiya turned around and became flustered. Otomi was wearing a bikini and she looked so cute in it. It was pastel stripes and she had her now growing hair down around her shoulders. He barely registered Reiji's muffled laughter, he was staring. He knew he was staring, but...he suddenly had an even greater appreciation for the beach. Great, now he was as bad as Reiji. He turned away from the angel in front of him and stood up. "Swimming, I'm going swimming."

"I'll come too." Otomi said, standing with him.

"Yeah, let's go." Tokiya deliberately walked ahead of her to the water. He wouldn't look at her, he wasn't a pervert. Even if it meant staying two steps ahead of her the entire day, because that was how cute she was, he couldn't help but stare when he saw her. That was why even in the cool water, Tokiya spent the whole day feeling a little overheated.
