I don't know why but I am a serious OC abuser! I must have written at least… four endings for Turning or Flight where Annamarie dies! Enjoy!

Final Ending Alternate

Ladybug closed her eyes as the kiss washed over her and let go of the godly power inside her. Her knees weakened but Chat held her up and let go of their kiss. He gave her a smirk. "That's my girl."

She gave a low groan and clung to him as her strength came back and she was able to move away. "Oh, I feel... really weird." She groaned.

Niji and Dawa smiled in relief. "I can imagine." Niji sighed. "You just had the combined power of 6 miraculous plus two deities in you."

"But you managed to use it to do something even we couldn't." Dawa said with a short laugh. "You... you didn't just seal Shenfa away but completely destroyed him."

"What? We didn't mean... to destroy him."

"I know. But in the end, your actions have saved the world."

Chat let out a sigh. "And we live to tell the tale."

They were interrupted by a cough behind them, turning to see Peacock as she held a hand over her mouth and coughed again.

The group frowned at her. "Feathers?" Chat asked, almost testing the air.

Ladybug stared at their comrade as she looked at her hand then at the others with a look of pure fear. The dark haired teen's eyes widened when she spotted a trickle of something red leaving the side of her mouth. "No! Peacock!" She shouted, running over just as the blue hero fell to her hands and knees, covering her mouth with one hand as she coughed but it did nothing to keep liquid from dribbling out to the floor to a point where her arm couldn't hold her and she fell to her front.

Moving quickly, Ladybug panicked and knelt beside her, as she spat up the contents of her body before rolling to her side to help her. "Peacock? Peacock speak to me!"

She couldn't, too busy vomiting, a pool of wet sticky blood forming around her and staining her suit. Quickly everyone moved to surround her, Dawa and Fu remaining standing while Niji knelt and placed a hand on her face while Ladybug held her still. He clearly was concentrating, his eyes narrow before they widened and his hand pulled quickly away. "Oh no."

"What? What is it? What's going on? What's happened to her?" Marinette sobbed, tears in her eyes at the pain her friend was in.

Niji kept staring at the girl as she convulsed and coughed, her whole body trembling. "I... It's our powers."

"What?"

"The three of you absorbed so much power... your bodies couldn't hold it."

"What? But Ladybug and I are fine!"

"You're the chosen of destruction; you body is used to being ripped apart so it is able to heal itself. And Ladybug is of creation, what was damaged was fixed." He shook his head. "But Annamarie had no such protection."

Ladybug's whole body was vibrating as she tried not to break down. "But... you can heal her? Can't you?"

The god shook his head minutely. "It's our power that is hurting her. We would only make it worse."

"So what? She's going to be sick for a while?" Chat scoffed, looking down at the blue bird as she writhed in agony. "That's fine, let's get her to a hospital! Let's do something!

"Chat..." Niji hesitated in his reply. "She's dying. And I can't stop it." His hand closed into a fist. "There's nothing I can do to save her. I... I can't... I can't save her."

Marinette looked down at her friend, her eyes closed tight in hopes of blocking out the pain but seeing how pale and sickly she looked, tears began to fall down her face. "Can't... can't you... help?" She took in a short sob of air. "She... she's in pain."

The god nodded and placed a hand on her forehead, his fingertips glowing at the contact, Peacock's features slowly relaxing as he did. He let go and lowered his head. "It's the best I can do to make her comfortable." He whispered.

Chat knelt beside him and looked down on his friend as she lay on the ground. "How... how long does she have?"

"At most? Minutes." He sighed, standing up. "You... should say your goodbyes." His words made the others blink in shock, reality crashing on them as he looked at them before turning his back on the trio. "I'll give you some privacy."

The others looked back, as if wanted to do something but Niji ushered them away and the air fell into pure silence. The birds above didn't sing and the air was still. The Black Cat reached out and gently as he could, wiped some of the blood off her lips, the action causing her eyes to crack open.

Her lips moved and a hoarse gasp coming out but Ladybug shook her head, holding her hand. "Shush, don't try and talk."

The lip movements stopped and Peacock gave a small tremor, closing her eyes for a moment before opening them again. Her gaze drifted slowly over to Chat at her other side but his face was turned away from her, trying not to break down in tears. With an incredible amount of effort, her arm moved from her side to his and brushed against his leg. He looked back and took hold of it, holding it as tight as he could manage. "Peacock... I... I'm so sorry."

She winced a little, her lips parting as she let out a few deep breaths. "W... we won?" She managed, her voice so weak if there hadn't been silence around them, no one would have heard.

Ladybug nodded from behind her tears. "Yes. We won. Shenfa is destroyed. Paris is saved. The world is saved. We did it." She gulped and brushed her hand over her cheek under the mask. "And we couldn't have done it without you." A smile lifted the corners of the other's mouth but it just made Ladybug choke on a sob and close her eyes. "How can you smile Annamarie? You... you're dying and... we can't do anything! I'm meant to be the ladybug! I'm meant to save everyone! I'm meant to heal those hurt and... and this is all my fault! If I had had never been chosen... if we never... never fought..."

"We... never would... would have met." Came a weak reply. "We... never would... have had... our adventures."

"And you wouldn't be lying here dying!" Marinette near screamed, eyes flooded as she sobbed. "You... you'd be alive!"

The blue gloves slowly reached up to her cheek and caressed it. "Mari... I... I would not trade... our time... together... for any... anything." She closed her eyes for a few seconds, her breathing becoming more laboured but she opened her eyes again and looked up to her friend. "I... have... treasured... our... our time. Every... fight... every... patrol and... second I... had... with you. I have... been blessed, Mari." She grunted but tried to hold it back, putting all her strength into squeezing the hands in hers. "M...Mari..." She whimpered, making her look at her. "It... it's been... M...mi...miraculous."

The red bug's eyes widened and she couldn't help but smile at the word.

Peacock also smiled and nodded. "Th... that's what I wanted. To... see... you smile." She groaned slightly and closed her hands tight.

Before they loosened.

The others froze as they looked at her, as if waiting for her to move or speak or... or breathe.

But she didn't. She just lay there and as they watched, slowly a sparkle of light began to eat at the edge of her mask and suit, leaving her in a dress and jacket, the blood she'd been throwing up gone in the magic. Slowly a form made its way out of her hair slide and landed gently on her shoulder. "Annamarie." Frou whimpered, slowly flying forward and leaning over to kiss her forehead. "You were so brave. The best Chosen I ever had. I... I'll miss you, sweet dancer."

Ladybug gulped and reached up, wiping her eyes but a sorrowful scream escaped her lips as she did.

Chat had his hands closed into fists on his lap, head down as he let tears fall. "You... you were like a sister to us Annamarie. We... we will never fo...forget you."

A hand touched each of their shoulders, looking up to see the others had returned. Dawa had tears in her eyes and Sophia was full on crying.

Ladybug forced herself to stand and grabbed them, sobbing into their shoulders.

Adrian watched her before reaching to his shoulder, undoing his cloak and placing it over his friend up to her chest before placing her hands peacefully on top. With a short caress of her cheek, he stood in silence for a moment. "So... what now?"

Niji sighed then looked up at him. "We mourn. And when we are ready, we move on. We live."

"But what about her... her..." He took a steadily breath. "Her body?"

"In ancient times, a fallen miraculous would be remembered only by their family and no one else. It is the way things have always been."

"Not this time." Ladybug said with a sniff, pushing back and wiping her eyes. "Not this time. This time... everyone will... will know and they will celebrate. Let the world know... who she is. Let them know who we are. I don't care anymore. I want everyone to know how... how much she is loved."

The gods paused then nodded. "Very well."

"And when this is done... I'm retiring."

"What?"

"If the ladybug is needed again... Tikki can find someone else because I'm done." She said, transformation falling around her. "I don't want anyone else to get hurt because of me."
