Youmu's POV

"I apologise for making you wait this long. You may enter the dining hall, dinner is prepared." That means... it's time. *Gulp* Her mistress is going to chew me out now. Sakuya herself looks slightly worried, that's what worries me the most.

"Cheer up, Youmu! It's going to be just fine, trust me. I will definitely protect you~" And Yuyuko-sama's encouragements don't exactly fill me with confidence either. Besides...

"You're the real culprit here! If it wasn't for that stupid sake of yours none of this would have happened!" What am I even getting all worked up for? I mean, it's just 'Remi'. She's just a little girl! I mean, she's still a vampire... but that doesn't change anything about that! Though she seems to have the last word in this mansion. Uh...

"How cold of you, Youmu... besides, a wise man once told me that you have to own up for your own mistakes, no matter what circumstances." Using my grandfather's words against me like this is really unfair, but Yuyuko-sama has a point. I can't deny it, as much as I want to blame someone else... my own shortcomings are just as much to blame. A good swordsman wouldn't shift the blame, he'd take responsibility! Not to mention that a good swordsman wouldn't even lose control like that to begin with...

"Oh my, I hope you don't mind if we intrude again. Though the atmosphere seems to be a little bit oppressive tonight... well, even more so than the other day. Are you going to open that door now or what?" Yukari-sama and her servants have also arrived, just in time. Yuyuko-sama cowers behind me, though it's probably rather to tease me. Sakuya finally opens the door, the dining hall seems way longer than I remember it... "No need to worry! I will give you all the legal advice you may need, Youmu-chan~"

"Let me guess, gap youkai... 'Might makes right'?" Yukari-sama's silence is answer enough... let's just get this over with! I'll just do what I always do when I feel worried or confused. I charge right in! There, at her throne...

"I see, you had the balls to come here. Good for you. It was not by my hand that we all assembled here tonight. I was called here because your 'gardener' tried to defile my maid!" That's not how it was! There's no way Sakuya portrayed this story that way...

"Defile your maid?! I-... it was... that situation... it was different! I couldn't help myself..." Her mistress looks a lot more intimidating than I remember her, for some reason. She's just sitting there, with a glass full of... blood, I guess. That doesn't really make it any better, she has an incredibly murderous aura around her.

"Perhaps the same could be said of all perverts..." That's it!

"Your words are as empty as your soul! Sakuya ill need a mistress such as you!" Somehow it feels as if this whole situation could only go into one direction. And if she tries to tarnish my name by calling me a pervert I'll be happy to oblige!

"What is a half-ghost?" She throws the empty glass towards me, I quickly side-step it... *Chink* "A miserable little pile of secrets! But enough talk... have at you!" A fight it is! I draw my blades...

"Ah, my mistress... it's time for dinner. Would you like another glass?" Wha-!? Remilia looks about as confused as I feel right now. Both of us slowly look at each other, then at Sakuya... she's sweeping up the glass, as if nothing just happened.

"Do you mind?! We're in the middle of something right now! We can have dinner afterwards!" Somehow the dignified and oppressive air Remilia had around herself... it just completely vanished.

"That would be a problem, the food would get cold until then..." I think Sakuya might be helping me out, in her own way?

"Then I'll have her for dinner instead!" Remilia is gradually losing her composure... and dignity.

"But... my mistress, the ice..." Somehow the atmosphere... was completely destroyed.

"The... ice?! Do I look like I ca- ... You know what? Fine. Bring me another glass, Sakuya. Now that I think about it, that would be more fitting either way. Who would I be, to deny half a soul her last supper?" Grrr... there will be a fight, after dinner! It's just... neither of us seems to be willing to defy Sakuya, right now. She didn't even threaten us or anything, but still...

"Please, take your seats." Right now Sakuya seems to control this precarious situation, though it's still on a knife edge. Everyone slowly follows her commandment. It was polite and her tone didn't betray anything either, but she has an incredible atmosphere of authority right now... "Please, enjoy your meal and serve yourselves."

"Anyways, Remi... I won't deny that my servant made some mistakes, but you should really discuss her punishment with me. Anything else would be rather unfitting for your position, wouldn't it?" Yuyuko-sama actually seems to be useful, for once...

"I told you to stop calling me that! But... I suppose you have a point. Dealing with the likes of her in person is beneath me. Then tell me, gluttonous vacuum... what punishment do you consider fitting?" They aren't getting along, huh? It's a little bit difficult to tell, right now...

"Why, I studied the outside world a little bit. Or rather, I heard Yukari talk about it. There seems to be an old principle and I thought it might be to your liking. 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth', was it?" What is she-? Oh... oh no... Yuyuko-sama, don't you dare! I can see Ran-sama covering Chen's ears, much to the latter's dismay...

"No way, you ca-"

"Silence! But I must say... your taste isn't half bad. Though I prefer it to repay those who wronged me threefold! I would expect no less for my servants." No! She's walking right into it! This is bad! She confidently takes another sip of her glass, Sakuya probably brought her another one.

"That sounds reasonable enough, I suppose. Then would you agree to those terms? I will make sure that Youmu receives threefold what she distributed~" No, don't listen to her! Don't you dare-

"Very well, that's a fine suggestion. So it shall be." *Sob* Remi, you idiot!

"Very well indeed. Now then, Sakuya... I expect you to do threefold to Youmu what she did to you, last night." The wheels slowly seem to start turning in Remi's little head as Yuyuko-sama finishes her sentence... and another glass falls victim to her moods as she spits out the blood. It doesn't leave any stains...? Oh, Sakuya probably stopped time and contained it.

"No, that's...! I never agreed to that sort of punishment! I refuse! Don't you dare, Sakuya...!"That's right, there's no way Sakuya would just go along with that!

"But... my mistress, it was your order." I can't tell whether this is just teasing or... I mean, this can't be happening, right? Right?!

"Yes, Remi. I seem to remember it the same way." Oh, Patchouli is also here now.

"I fear... we all heard it that way. Well, except for Chen. I would ask you to refrain from discussing such vulgar topics in front of her." Ran-sama finally lets go of Chen's ears...

"Like I give a damn about your little...! Gah! Alright, alright... you've won, you bunch of idiots! I will... overlook this..." I can hear her grinding her teeth from down here... "This time! If something like that happens again, half-ghost... woe betide you!"

"I was not planning on making that a common occurrence in the first place, unless... uh, never mind! Enjoy your meal!" I quickly dig in and don't even dare looking up. I can hear Yukari-sama and Yuyuko-sama giggling, Ran-sama and Chen seem to be having a discussion, of sorts... and the chair next to me is moved.

"Apologies, Youmu. That was... quite an unexpected resolution to that little dilemma. I hope you aren't too upset? I was just joking, obviously." This time Sakuya has a slightly wry smile, I didn't think she would just play along with that kind of humour... but somehow she seems to be pretty carefree, for some reason.

"That was pretty mean, you know? I think your mistress was close to boiling over there. And I..." I was close to dying of embarrassment, if that's even possible.

"Sorry, sorry... I was just in a bit of a playful mood. Besides, I can't tell what my mistress might have done if your mistress and I hadn't stepped in when we did." I can tell, kind of. The atmosphere alone was bad enough... "And if you really wanted to..." She whispers into my ear, I can feel a shiver running down my spine...

"I never expected you to step in for my little Youmu~ I guess you aren't half bad, as far as dogs go. As much as it pains me... you have my permission. Youmu... " Yuyuko-sama looks deep into my eyes. She looks serious, as if she was about to make some really big announcement... "I wish you the best for your marriage. Remember, I'll always be there for you..." Yuyuko-sama just starts sobbing and leans over to Yukari-sama... *Sigh* I don't think she'll ever tire of teasing me, will she?

"We never even talked about something like that!"

"Is that so? I really envy that kind of silent communication you have. You don't even need to talk to each other to understand..." That's not how it is at all!

"I still have a say in this matter and I absolutely forbid it! Quit talking nonsense like that!" I have to agree with Sakuya's mistress, for once. While it's not really any of her business who Sakuya chooses to marry or doesn't... I'd really appreciate it if we could stop talking about things like this.

"That's fine, we'll give you some time to get used to the idea~ Anyways, Youmu..." Yuyuko-sama leans over to me again, this time she whispers... "A swordswoman is not to have such a relationship with someone she isn't married to. It would be a terrible disgrace to your family if you didn't take full responsibility for what happened... right? So the only choice you have to restore your honour and the dignity of your family... is that." No way! I mean, what she's saying makes sense, but...

"Don't always use things like that against me!" That's... all way too sudden! I'm not ready for that kind of commitment... I haven't even finished my training yet!

"Those are the rules. Looking is free, but as soon as you touch it, you buy it~" That sounds really wrong, in this context...

"Don't worry, I'll take good care of you~" Huh...? Sakuya is... hugging me?

"SAKUYA! CUT IT OUT, RIGHT NOW!" Somehow that command lacks the murderous intent I felt earlier, it sounds rather... pathetic.

"Oho, I guess that's that. Congratulations, Youmu. Should I fetch the shrine maiden for you? Who will you invite, I wonder, I wonder~?" Yukari-sama seems to be more than happy to join in as well...

"So, Ran-shama... when are we getting married?" That... was a critical hit for Ran-sama. At least I'm no longer alone in my suffering.

"That's a great idea, Chen! I always wanted to see a fox's marriage!" Still, the mood is... really light-hearted, all of a sudden. Even Remilia's sour mood seems to have improved a little bit. I guess it's fine, after all. Just joking around like this, enjoying the evening... though it's getting a little bit too warm in here, or is that just me? Sakuya finally lets go of me, I'm actually a little bit glad about that. I mean, it's not that I didn't like it, it was just a little bit too warm. My embarrassment probably didn't help...

"Well, I wouldn't mind seeing some of your local customs myself. However, keep my property out of this, alright?!" I should definitely still challenge her after dinner. Something about her attitude just rubs me the wrong way. So I should definitely slash her until she sees things my way! That's how Gensokyou works, after all.

"Everything seems to have turned out in your favour, after all. You didn't even need my help, Youmu-chan~" Not to insult Yukari-sama, but she would've probably just slacked off either way...

"It's such a lively evening again... how tiresome." Patchouli-sama lets out an exaggerated sigh and snaps her book shut. Still, she doesn't actually seem to mind it either. "Especially you, Marisa..."

"What's with this cold welcome? I just dropped by to borrow some books and Patchy isn't even there? I even considered bringing some books back, but now I'll need some more as compensation!" Oh, isn't that... that black and white one from before.

"Ah, it's the thirteen bread magician. Have you come to play with my little sister again? She'd be more than happy to see you again..." Somehow that sounds a lot more intimidating than it should...

"It's actually fourteen now. And she's a good kid, isn't she? So... what have I stumbled upon here anyways? You're plotting something, aren't you?" She wouldn't actually challenge all of us at once, would she? That would be rather daring... or rather, plain stupid.

"You make it sound so ominous... we're just planning for two weddings~" Yuyuko-sama... please don't spread weird rumours like that!

"And one funeral, I should add." Remilia can be pretty cool, to be honest...

"Geez, did Reimu piss you off that badly? Anyways, what about the juicy details? Who's getting married, ze?" Is she actually that oblivious to the situation?

"No one is getting married! And this isn't about that useless shrine maiden, she has nothing worth inheriting either way... unless you consider the dust in her donation box valuable. But what about you, suspicious shroom magician?" Everything is back to normal, I guess.

"I'm innocent, so there's no reason for murder! Besides, I ate tons of garlic before coming here, so I'd just upset your stomach." Should I join in? I guess I'll just see how it goes.

"Don't worry, that will just improve your immune system. Sakuya could still prepare you in the blink of an eye." I'm not exactly sure if they're joking about that part... then again, I don't think any blood will be spilled tonight, except for the one from those glasses.

"Where I come from, we only cut off someone's hands for 'borrowing without returning'. So, what would you prefer?" That... also didn't really sound like a joke. Somehow Sakuya and her mistress can actually be rather frightening, can't they?

"In that case you can have me for dinner. You're a pretty light eater, after all." Is it a fight now?

"Thanks, but no thanks... I'm not really in the mood tonight. Go ahead and take a seat, just don't bother us anymore... I intend to get my fill later on." She gives me a glance that clearly tells me this isn't over yet. All the better, I wasn't planning on backing down either! "Sakuya, some silverware, please." Sakuya stands up and does that strange gesture again, then she just vanishes... I think I might be starting to get used to this, after all.

"So, this really isn't some grand conspiracy, after all? With all of you assembled, I was expecting a little bit more. Talk 'bout a disappointment, ze!" This Marisa person really seems to be carefree. She just takes a seat next to Patchouli. "Man, service here is as good as ever! Time to dig in~" She already has some sort of pastries in her hands when her dishes appear...

"Why, every conspiracy starts off small, doesn't it? What do you propose as our conspiracy for the night?" Yukari-sama seems to be up to something again, that's rarely a good sign... *Sigh* There's no helping it, I guess.

"Oh, so I should be the mastermind? I don't have any plans though..." Yuyuko-sama and Yukari-sama exchange a highly suspicious look.

"Oh, I get the best ideas with some sake. Yukari, would you kindly get some 'special sake' for us?" Poor magician... well, I don't really care, unless they want to make me drink it as well. They wouldn't be foolish enough to try that twice.

"Why, of course. I wouldn't like to intrude without properly repaying our host's hospitality." That comment seems to annoy Remilia quite a bit. It's almost time...

...

Sakuya's POV

...

"Well, Remi, I think I'll borrow your dog for a moment! You don't mind if I take her out for a walk, do you~?" My mistress seems to weigh her options for a moment.

"Take her, if you must. I think I will entertain your gardener for a bit. There should be no problems, right?" At least she seems to have collected her thoughts a little bit, by now. It was a rather difficult situation to handle, without exceeding my authority. Though I do wonder what this mischievous ghost has in mind for me...

"Then come along. Show me the surroundings a little bit~" I stop time for but a moment to heave a heavy sigh. Regardless of what she wants, I don't think I'll like it.

"Certainly. Please, follow me." Youmu looks after us, seemingly a little bit worried. Then she glances at my mistress, I hope it'll be fine. With a haughty smirk on her face my mistress regards Youmu, she really seems to be looking forward to that fight. Well, it can't be helped, I fear. They both seem to want it... "Where would you like to go? I can show you the gardens, if you'd like. Or perhaps rather the kitchen again?"

"That would be nice~ Then again, we have some business to take care of. The gardens it is." Her carefree attitude seems to crumble a little bit, though I'm not quite sure of what lies beneath that. Somehow I don't have a good feeling about this, my instincts are telling me to prepare for a fight. I lead Youmu's mistress through some corridors, bright blue spirits surround her and illuminate the way for us. We finally reach the door to the central garden.

"Here we are. Now then... time to come clear. You didn't take me out here for a friendly chat, did you?" I keep a wary eye on her as she floats around, I barely even notice the reddened moonlight or the roses around us.

"Oh, was it that easy to see through me? Then again, I didn't really try to hide it. Yes, it's time for an honest discussion. So, who should start?" This... doesn't seem to be an invitation to a re-match.

"I may, if you would tell me what this is all about." I stay wary of her motives, the only thing I can tell is that she's serious. Maybe serious enough to kill...

"That won't do... not at all. You need to open up a little bit. Can you do that much, for her sake?" I see... there's little doubt as to what this is about now.

"You mean Youmu? I have opened up to her, more so than towards anyone else. Perhaps too much already." I have little interest in telling her much more. "It's not a personal thing, I simply don't talk about my past. And that is something I'm entitled to. I don't expect others to bear their hearts to me, just as I won't bear mine to anyone." Those are simple rules for a pleasant coexistence. I don't annoy others, others don't annoy me.

"It's not that simple. Both of us know, don't we?" I don't think we're on the same page here...

"I think I made myself clear. Maybe it was a mistake, letting her get this close to me... if that's the case, I'm sorry. There's nothing to be done about it anymore. Don't worry, it won't-"

"That's no good. Would you really hurt Youmu like that? Would you just push her away now, after everything that happened?! You'd break her heart. And if you did that..." By now it's rather obvious that she's trying to threaten me. Pink butterflies gather around her...

"That would be her fault. I didn't ask her to fall in love with me, if that's what you think it is. I discouraged her, time and again. And if that would break her heart... so be it. She'd be a lot smarter afterwards." It's difficult to stand up to Youmu's mistress like this... I can feel it, she'd be a dangerous opponent. I'd rather escape than fight... and that is never a good sign.

"Smarter? Perhaps. However, I don't want her to become bitter like you. What you call smart is little more than glorified pessimism." I wouldn't be alive if I hadn't learned to expect the worst and be prepared for it.

"I see no difference. Where I come from you expect the worst and won't be disappointed. I'd do her a favour by preparing her for that. This fantasy world won't last forever." The butterflies glow even brighter... I get ready to stop time and escape. There's no need for me to fight her, especially not if she might be serious about this.

"Is the glass half empty or half full? I don't know... what I do know is that you aren't very happy if you think it might as well be completely empty. If that's the miserable kind of life you wish to lead... there's little I can do to convince you otherwise." She seems to stop, anticipating my answer.

"If that's the case... I fail to see why you brought me out here and tried to intimidate me." She certainly didn't do so for the fun of it.

"I didn't do this to change your mind. It's not something I'm capable of, I know. Your disposition is none of my business. What I brought you here for... I wish for only one thing. I wish for Youmu to be happy. If you simply push her away, as a matter of principle, she won't be happy. You would ruin her life, just like yours was ruined." This has to be the first... hm, no. The second time someone tried to intimidate me into a relationship.

"With all due respect, my life is hardly ruined. Besides, that's not my problem. I'm not your property." I wouldn't even get together with someone if my mistress asked me to. Perhaps I'd be willing to pretend as much, but this... this is beyond what anyone could reasonably ask for. I'm more than fine with my current life.

"That's right... but it might well become a problem for you, if you don't listen to me."

"Is that so? Careful, you might bite off more than even you can chew." The butterflies finally seem to calm down a little bit, though I'm not sure if that's a good thing.

"That's why I told you to listen. I don't wish to lead you away, I never wanted that... but I want you to give her a chance. If you break her heart, there's no telling what might happen. I don't want to kill you, but if that happened... I can't control it, Sakuya. If I truly wish for someone to die, it... it happens. I can't do anything about it." That's certainly troublesome. Maybe I should ask that gap youkai, though I don't think she'd be much help.

"She shall have her 'chance'. It's not much of a chance, I'll admit, but she shall have it. Try to intimidate me as you will, I won't reciprocate it. But I will give her the time she needs." The mood finally seems to return to a peaceful and quiet night, the butterflies disappear.

"And that's all I ask for. If you have to turn her down, after a while... please be gentle. But let her try. She needs to be able to try, I can feel it. Even if you reject her, in the end, that's fine. However, I get the feeling that her love might not be as unrequited as you'd have me believe, maid of steel~" Hmpf, at least that's better than the constant dog allusions, I suppose? It's something new, if nothing else.

"Keep living in your delusions, if that pleases you. Just don't be too disappointed when the inevitable happens." Love... such a foolish notion.

"Still... I think that might be for the best. Don't you think it would be better for you as well? Do you really hate the thought of being happy that much?" Happiness, much of the same nonsense. Both are little more than lies people tell themselves to feel better.

"I'm quite happy, serving my mistress. My duty is my life." I don't need anything else, that's right... there's no need for more emotions. It would just cause quite a mess and I'm always the one who has to clean up afterwards.

"Why do you think that way, I wonder? Is it because of those ones?" She points towards the graveyard... she certainly did look around here before.

"You'll have a hard time finding even bones in there. I don't think those have much to do with anything here." They were... dear to me, I think? Then again, I hardly remember. Human memory wasn't made for the centuries, I suppose. I certainly cleaned up after them, as a proper servant should do.

"Not even names... all that remains are the memories, right? I understand that feeling, better than you'd think. You see, I used to be human myself, once upon a thousand years..." She should really step up her game, if she wants to trick me into telling her.

"The past is just that, the past. It doesn't matter what once was. Did you bring me all the way out here, just to wallow in memories? If that's the case we should go back." I still don't exactly feel comfortable around her. She isn't an opponent of flesh and blood and my 'spiritual powers' were always my least favourite weapons from my arsenal. Besides, there's no fun in killing something that has no body.

"No, not yet. Your young mistress... she wants to talk to Youmu, in private. And maybe have a little match. Either way, I think it would be best to let them decide their conflict." My mistress would certainly be angry if I tried to get in her way again... *Sigh* There's no helping it, I suppose. She probably won't be too unreasonable, all things considered. She won't even want me there, that's her little fight.

"Very well, it would be rude to impose on them. What shall we do until they're done?" I could do without spending more time with this annoying ghost. She's a good light source, but that's almost all the good things about being with her.

"You aren't very talkative, are you? Not exactly entertaining either. I think Youmu would be a better maid than you~" That's a pretty bold suggestion...

"I should think that threatening to slash your guests wouldn't be considered good manners. I may not be the best entertainer, but I'm not trying to impress the likes of you. Uninvited guests, and as if that wasn't enough, dead ones. Any service is more than the dead could expect, unless you ask for a proper funeral?" I shouldn't get my hopes, should I?

"Well, what are the dead to do, if they're livelier than the living? That's also rather inappropriate towards your mistress." That's... not the same thing.

"My mistress is undead, so she isn't dead." I almost dug my own grave there...

"This point I concede to you, maid... anyways, I still think you should let Youmu try it out~ It would actually look cute on her!" This is all about the costume, isn't it? I never quite understood the fascination some people, my mistress included, have with these clothes. Besides, without the proper etiquette it would feel like insulting my office...

"If you want her to train for some years I might give it a shot..." Besides, I don't think Youmu would have the patience for all of that. It tends to get very tedious, especially standing at attention, sometimes for hours on end... I don't think that would be very entertaining for either of us.

"Well, maybe that's a bit much... but you're supposedly the perfect maid, so you should be able to do that much faster, right? Youmu is a quick learner, so don't worry~" That would take way too much time... but I suppose I can spare some? Besides, the fairies could teach her as well, they should be ready.

"Very well, that can be arranged. Did you ask her already?" Her expression tells me enough.

"Um, about that... I thought... maybe you could help me with that? If I ask her she probably won't do it, but if you did..." I can't believe this ghost!

"I'll have no part in this. It's not as if I'd get anything out of it and that goes beyond good service."

"Come ooon~ Just think about how cute it's going to be! She's going to be so clumsy in these clothes, it's going to be adorable~ Besides, I think your mistress would also like that very much, though probably for different reasons." Possibly... well, that's up to them. It's not my decision. Though it probably wouldn't look bad on her. Chances are, I even have some older uniforms that could still fit her.

"Don't always try to involve me in your strange schemes. But, if my mistress were to agree, there's nothing I can do about it..." Though she can't make any demands either. She already gave her word about allowing them to stay and she's not one to change her conditions or word. She never did so and I don't think that's going to change anytime soon.

"Is that so? And here I was, thinking the both of you had gotten closer. Well, apparently our little present didn't help you out that mu-... oh..." And now there's two old hags, Yukari joined in. A Freudian slip? Just what I needed, and all the culprits assembled...

"So you did know, didn't you? Should I show you what I learned about hell, over the years? I'm sure it's going to be a little more unpleasant than your danmaku was." I take out my knives, I could really go for a hunt right now...

"No, we're innocent~ It wasn't some aphrodisiac, it's just... um, some kind of love potion..." And how is that any better, you rotten pervert?!

"So, you do have a death wish. Strange for a ghost, but I'll gladly oblige..." I slowly approach the both of them, they're in for the battle of their life... oh, maybe not both of them. Youmu's mistress is already dead. Anyways... I'll drag them through hell and back. And afterwards my mistress can do much the same.

"Now, now, Sakuya... let us finish, will you? Otherwise we'll have to put you down, like a rabid dog..." I don' even care. I'll have them pay, both of them.

"Thanks for the warning, but any dog will bite, if sufficiently provoked. And tonight I feel more like a wolf, to be honest." I grin, this will be the first time in forever... it's no good. I just can't. *Sigh* I'm sure it would be fun, with the both of them. But I suppose I'll settle for a normal danmaku match.

"It's not that kind of a love potion! It just slightly amplifies what's already there and makes you a bit more honest about it..." That's- No way! There's no way I'm...!

"I... I'll have Patchouli-sama tell me! But until then..."

"H-hey, what are you doing with that...? You aren't going to use that, are you?" I pull out a spell card. Buriallusion "Phantomic Killer in Night Mist"

...

"Geez, enough already! We got it, we won't do it again!" Somehow I doubt that ghost has learned her lesson, not to mention the other one. I could go for some more rounds, this is some much needed relief for the frustration I felt lately. They've gone a few steps too far and I'm not some lowly servant. I am the servant of Lady Remilia Scarlet, there's no greater pride for me. It's about time they got the punishment they rightfully deserved.

"That's hardly going to be enough now, is it! I will have you beg for my forgiveness." Scarred Soul "Soul Sculpture"

...

"We're already on our last lives, show some mercy! Fine, we'll apologise! We're very sorry for not telling you, we'll definitely not do it again..." Phew... I can't remember the last time I had such a good workout with danmaku. I never knew it could be so fulfilling either. It doesn't do much damage, it just slightly rips the clothes... but it still hurts. That's great~

"What? We're only getting started! You wanted a party? You shall have it. Go ahead, dance until you drop dead!" Illusion Ghost "Jack the Ludo Bile"

...

"That's it already? The both of you have gotten a little bit too comfortable with being the boss all the time. Maybe this will teach you a lesson in humility and consideration. I expect both of you in the kitchen, at 6 a.m., there will be dishes to clean after tonight. Sending your servants will not be tolerated. Are we clear?" The spell card rules certainly have their advantages, don't they~?

"Waaah! I'll tell Youmu all about how mean you were!" I don't think she got it yet. I pull out another knife.

"6 a.m., alright? Just to be clear, this is not a request." This might just be the perfect punishment for anyone who thinks they can just rush into my mistress's mansion and steal books. Or anyone else, coming in uninvited. Finally a purpose for all this useless danmaku~

"I'll already be asleep at that time, cut me some slack..." Of course someone had to try to skip work... not on my watch!

"I won't repeat myself again, 6 a.m. is my final word. Whether you stay up until then or go to bed now, that's of no concern to me. You'll be there... won't you?" I throw them a final glare, clearing any doubts about there being room for a discussion.

"Alright, just stop it! Your bite is a lot worse than your bark, dog of the devil..." Did she just...?

"You know, I'm a very patient person, rotten princess. However..." Illusion World "The World"

"YOUMU! SAVE U-" And time stops. They will be pulling knives from their bodies for days to come, I'll make sure of that

Author's note

...

Well, here we go. A new chapter, much sooner than the last one! I think we might be getting into this story again, finally~ And thanks a lot for all the kind reviews, they really help!

FreakerCamper: Can't really reply, since you didn't use an account, so we'll answer this way. Indeed, way too long a wait, we'll do our best to write more of this story, in spite of work and everything. And you can probably consider this chapter confirmation that this story is, as of now, no longer discontinued. Sorry for the incredibly long wait!

Indeed, we always thought that the relationship between Remilia and Sakuya was definitely like master and servant to the outside, but when it's just the both of them they're companions who have been through a lot together. We'll probably explore that a little more, in the upcoming chapters. And I never really liked the depiction of Sakuya as a pervert with pads, that's... distasteful, to say the very least. :)

Hehe, we won't judge anyone's ships, but SakuMyon really is sadly underrepresented. Those two just work well, in my opinion. Not just their looks, I think their characters compliment each other really well~

Recently we've gotten some more inspiration for it and the fire has been re-kindled! We'll try to get one chapter per month (no promises, but we'll try), since this story currently shares the first place in the poll we have with another one. If you want more frequent updates, feel free to vote for this story. That's what this poll is there for.
