Hi guys! I'm back again with Morishige and Iris~! Just like I said. I'm fully updated with the one I wrote on paper and now my updates will probably take longer because I have to actually think again. Poo. Let's reply to some people!
Codebreakeryuuki: I just want to tell you again how happy your reviews make me.
Shredder572: I'm glad you liked Chapter 9 then. Even if it's the only one you post on, thank you for reviewing at all! :D It means a lot to me. I'm glad you can relate to him. I understand if you don't want to talk about it, but if you ever do just want someone to talk to, no matter what it's about, I'm willing to listen and you can pm me. Remember that for me, k Shredder?
Guest: Aaaw, I'm sorry. *hugs* I know, Seiko's death almost made me cry. I hope you kept reading still, long enough to see this reply at least.
Thank you guys so much for the reviews. 16 is the most I've ever had. And no, this isn't my only fanfiction on here. My other account is under the penname Dapplepaw. That'll probably change soon. But if you're into Black Butler or Fruits Basket you may want to check it out because I am posted "Silver" for Black Butler and "Everyone Has Their Secrets" for Fruits Basket. Yaw. :D And so the story continues!
Chapter 14
They had been walking for what felt like forever. Even by this point, Morishige wasn't sure how he felt about Iris. To some degree she was annoying; teasing him in a flirtatious way he didn't understand. On the other hand, Iris was kind of attractive, and her morbid nature was interesting.
None of it really mattered to Morishige though. To him right now, what mattered was staying..ya know, alive. Mainly so he could go and find Mayu, but the others as well. There was a slight side concern that he was unintentionally being indifferent towards Iris like he did with everyone else. Iris flicked him in the side of the head, bringing him out of his thought process.
"Morishi, you alright? There is a very slight limp and you seem very distracted," Iris said, leaning against the wall with a slight smirk.
"I'm fine. Don't call me Morishi. There is a 'ge' at the end," Morishige muttered, pushing up his glasses.
Frustration. That's what he felt when she spoke to him. All these pet names, teasing, and so forth. Morishige didn't like it. What the hell kind of name is "Morishi"? Iris was frustrating him to no end, yet he felt no resentment or anger towards her. And this alone just frustrated the teenage boy more.
"I know! But 'ge' isn't needed in a pet name. Morishi is cute, just like you," Iris purred, poking his nose. She then proceeded to play with his hair.
He hit her hand away. Morishige felt nervous when she did that, and he had no idea why. He turned his back to her, and was now facing the door they were trying to unlock. It was 3-A, but Annika had the key. Iris rolled her eyes and pulled out a hand gun. She shot the lock in the perfect way to unlock it. Morishige stared at her, dumbfounded. She stared back, in a very bored manner, and yawned.
"What? Everyone in Kimimoto was taught at least one way to unlock a door without a key. I could have just broken the door, but I like playing with my guns. I mean, I was specialized with weaponry like guns, knives, and explosives. So what better way could they have taught me other than shooting a lock, Morishi?" Iris said, shrugging.
Morishige shook his head lightly in minor amusement at her nonchalant attitude as he opened the door. Instantly the smell of rot and decay hit the two. Basically unaffected, he walked in. Iris walked in as well, calmly slipping her gun into the belt-loop of her skirt.
"Well looky here, glasses guy! An empty room!" Iris said, leaping forward and wrapping her arms around Morishige. She was hugging him from behind.
Morishige stiffened. What the hell was she doing? Was she HUGGING him? (A/N: Sorry. I just have a tendency to make fun of Morishige's withdrawn and anti-social nature in this chapter.) He didn't like this "hug". Hugs made him feel claustrophobic. .Morishige was about to push her off when he got that same nervous feeling he had when Iris was playing with his hair. It vaguely reminded him how he sometimes felt around Mayu. Morishige shook his head and pushed Iris off him. Iris gave him a playful pout and puppy dog eyes. He sighed, walking away from her.
"Fang (A/N: For anyone who asks, just remember Fang is Iris' surname, so by Morishige's standards, it's what he should call her. Meh.), it's not as empty as you think in here," Morishige sighed, kneeling down next to the dead form of an albino male about his age. He had three knife wounds. One in the forehead, one that grazed the side of his head, and one near his collar bone. The boy also had a bullet hole form the back of his head leading to his mouth. Blood pooled around his head, and Iris tilted her head.
"Oh deary me. That's not good," Iris muttered, "Kusu won't be happy. She's going to go on a rampage if she finds out who did it."
"You know him?" Morishige asked, feeling minor sympathy for Iris even though she barely acted like she cared.
"Mhm. His name was James Kishini," Iris put her finger in the blood and moved it around, "Looks like someone went overkill on the poor boy."
Morishige looked behind him, and saw two human-shaped shadows. One was laying down, the other sitting up.
"Fang, what are those?" Morishige asked.
Iris turned around, "Well. Multiple dimensions, so I'd assume people on another dimension. From analyzing their figures and forms...I'd say Oracle and Mark from Kimimoto. Odd pair." (A/N: *talking to myself * What the heck did I do? Oracle and Mark...they should be on the same dimension as Morishige...because Morishige was with Annika..but they got separated and Annika found Yoshiki and Ayumi...who found Venom...who found Oracle...who found Mark. So they all should be on the same dimension. Well shit. Oh well, let's just pretend somehow when the light fell Morishige switched dimensions, okay? Okay.)
Iris ran her eyes across the room, spotting the murder gun. Iris smirked, stood up, and went over to it. She only observed it, she didn't touch it. Morishige raised and eyebrow and followed her over.
"What are you doing?" Morishige sighed.
Iris pulled out a black-light from her skirt pocket and shined it on the handle. Finger prints showed in white on the handle.
"Hahaha, I'm about to catch a killer," Iris said, pulling out a device and running it over the prints.
"Now what are you doing?" Morishige asked, now just flat out confused.
"It scans prints and tells me the identity of the person they belong to. It hasn't failed me yet," Iris said. When a name popped up, she clicked her tongue, "Mark. Well that's not a suprise. This will simply be his second murder. Well, second that I know of. One was Venom's girlfriend. The guy is insane, and if even has sanity left, this hell dimension is sure to crush it like a bug!"
"...What else do you have hidden?" Morishige asked, realizing she has had at least a knife, a gun, a black-light, and something to scan fingerprints.
"Do you really want to know?" Iris muttered, suddenly getting serious.
"...Not really, but show me anyway," Morishige sighed.
Iris started by pulling the gun out of her belt loop and dropping it to the ground. She pulled a second one out of her boot and dropped it as well. Iris proceeded to pull knives out of her gloves as well. She removed a clip from her hair and revealed it with a couple of procedures to be a small smoke grenade. Morishige put a hand to his head in disbelief.
She dropped her belt, which was loaded with ammo for her guns. Iris pulled off her earrings, and revealed them to be tracking devices. From her pockets she pulled more knives and other gadgets.
"What the hell," Morishige muttered, "You told me at the beginning you only had one knife, for starters...and you said you weren't weird."
"Did I say that? Whoops. That's not what I meant. Morishi, dear, please realize that everyone is weird in their own weird way, and mine is just..more drastic than most. You're weird too, glasses guy. That's about all of what I got. Jeez, you make me feel like you're the principal from Kimimoto. She told me to drop everything I had after I threatened to shoot the cook if they entered the kitchen."
"...Once again, what the hell," Morishige muttered, earning a very sly grin from Iris.
Yay! Another chapter is complete. Next I'll probably either do Naomi again or something along the lines of what happened to Annika, Yoshiki, and Ayumi. Maybe, we'll see. Thanks for reading, this is my most viewed fanfiction too! See ya guys! Bye bye, tell me what you think!
