Oh my dear lord. It has been wayyyy too long! I'm so sorry! But, let's not delay any further.
Here is my take on the scene where Maura is high and leans into Jane saying she "loves glazed donuts."
This is just a quick, sweet installment. I may do a part two of it depending on the reviews I get.
Thanks for being so patient with me and I'm sorry this one is so short!
Jane watched as Maura fleeted around the room. She couldn't believe it. Maura was high as a fucking kite. The Chief Medical Examiner of Massachusetts. High. As a kite. The whole thing was actually ridiculous. Maura had been missing just weeks prior and now she was high at work. With Kent.
As they continued laughing Jane watched with suspicious eyes.
"Oh I'm so hungry." Maura grumbled, holding onto her stomach. Suddenly her eyes got wide and she stepped up to Jane, hands picking at her hair.
"What are you doing?" Jane mumbled back, trying to swat Maura's hands away from her head.
"Looking for corn cornels." Maura's response was so innocent and sweet Jane felt her stomach jump. Kent's laughter brought her back to reality.
"In my hair?" Jane asked, astonished battling Maura's hands away from inspecting her curls.
"Yes!" Maura broke into a fit of laughter, stepping away as Kent slide down the wall, laughing with her. Jane knew she had to regain some sense of control.
"Maura! Focus." Jane begged, her hands lacing in front of her. She had to squeeze her hands tighter though as Maura's smile increased. She was just too damn adorable.
"Okay." Maura copied Jane's hand movements and giggled. Jane couldn't help a smile smirk back before remembering she needed information about where the pot came from. Jane thought she had managed to focus Maura's intellect until she was suddenly right up against her again.
Jane didn't really hear anything about the marijuana as Maura's perfume washed over her. It wasn't until Maura said "MJ from the streeeeet" that Jane regained composure.
"Word." Kent's voice made Jane roll her eyes. Maura high was adorable. Kent high was just as annoying as he normally was.
"Please I can't." Jane held her hand out to Kent and focused her attention back on Maura. She was just about to suggest that she take Maura for food when suddenly Maura was rushing at her.
Shocked, Jane leaned away from Maura, unsure of what she was going to say. Maura's hands grabbed at Jane's shirt and arms as she leaned in. "Awww. I've never told you this before…"
Jane's internal alarms were going off. Maura wasn't actually going to confess her love now, was she? Jane had pictured this moment many times, but never like this. And especially not with Kent in the room. Hoping to fend Maura off she pushed herself back. Not because she didn't love Maura, but because it shouldn't go like this. "Oh God." Jane moaned.
"But, I looooove glazed donuts." Maura's words surprised Jane. Relief flooded her and she was finally able to push Maura away.
"Okay. Alright." Jane quickly called in her request knowing she needed to get Kent to go sleep in the back room and to take Maura home.
Maura's jokes got worse and Jane had to bite her inner lip to keeping from laughing. She was such an adorable, little nerd. As Kent fell to the floor Jane shook her head. She ended up calling Korsak to come deal with Kent and carefully led Maura out the back door. She knew that Maura would hate for her employees to see her like this.
Helping Maura into the passenger's seat she leaned over to buckle her seatbelt. As she was leaning back Jane gasped. Maura had grabbed her shirt once again and pulled her close to her. "Wait. I'm still hungry."
"Okay. Let's go get you some food." Jane hadn't realized how strong of a grip Maura had until today as she once again tried to pry her fingers off of her shirt.
"No. Not for food." Maura moaned, her hazy eyes searching Jane's features.
"I'm confused Maura. What do you want?"
"You!" Maura smirked as if that was obvious. Jane's eyes went wide and she stepped away from the vehicle.
"Let's just get you home." Jane tried to shut Maura's door, but Maura stuck her hand out, unbuckling herself with the other.
"I can't wait that long. I'm hungry now." Maura slid out of her seat and pressed herself against Jane again. The parking lot had been packed this morning and while Jane had grumbled about how far away she had to park she was suddenly thankful for the seclusion.
"Let's get back in the car." Jane tried to steer her back to her seat, but found Maura's stumbling disorientating. Without really knowing how it happened Jane found herself pressed up against the car.
Maura giggled as she smashed Jane to the car with her hips, her hands grabbing Jane's collar on her shirt. She still had her shoes on which made her almost height level with Jane. "Kiss me." Maura tried to move in closer, but Jane quickly placed her hands on either side of Maura's face and held her as gently as possible at bay.
"No. Come on Maur. Let's just go get donuts." Jane could feel Maura's breasts pushing against her own and her squirming was causing the seam on her pants to stroke against her clit.
"Noooo." Maura whined. "I want to kiss you." Maura tried to push in once more. Jane turned her head and had to stifle a moan as Maura's soft lips connected with her cheek. Not to be deferred Maura began kissing her way down Jane's throat.
"Maura. Maura no. Stop." Jane grabbed Maura's hips and managed to push Maura a step back. Her head was spinning. Maura's lips felt like liquid heat across her neck, but it wasn't right. Maura was high and Jane didn't know if her feelings were real or not. As Maura stuck out her bottom lip and pouted Jane felt her knees go weak. She so badly wanted to kiss that pouty lip and suck it into her mouth. "In the car." Jane tried to direct her once more.
"No. I want a kiss." Maura stood, defiant.
"No Maura." Jane shook her head.
"One kiss."
"No."
"One kiss and we leave."
"Maur-"
"One kiss or I'll start running."
Jane gawked at Maura. She knew she would be able to catch Maura on account of her wearing heels and Jane being much more athletic, but she wasn't sure just how far Maura would get. In her high state Maura became much wigglier than normal. She didn't want anyone to find her chasing Maura down in the parking lot.
Staring at Maura Jane knew she wasn't joking. "Can't I just get you donuts?" Maura shook her head.
"Kiss meeee." Maura stomped her foot dramatically. Even in her ecstatic state Maura realized Jane was never going to make the first move. Threading her fingers in Jane's hair Maura pulled Jane's lips to her own.
The first contact took Jane by surprise. Maura's soft lips were pressed against her own and the cliché of fireworks suddenly made sense to her. As a woman who had fought so long to be straight Maura's kiss broke her.
"Jane you have to kiss me back." Maura giggled pulling back. She wasn't aware that Jane's entire world just came crashing in around her.
"Okay Maura." Jane whispered, leaning down to plant a kiss on Maura's lips once more. If her world was going to shatter she was going to make sure the pieces were never able to be glued back together.
Jane felt Maura's hot breath in her mouth as her lips parted. Not waiting for more of an invitation Jane slipped her tongue inside and really tasted Maura for the first time. A small moan was heard and Jane wasn't sure if it was hers or Maura's sound.
Jane grabbed Maura's hip and spun her to that Maura was pressed into the vehicle. Her mouth continued its exploration as Jane's hips pressed into Maura. Maura squirmed and this time Jane knew it was her own moan. When air was finally needed Jane pulled back and opened the car door. "Time to go home." Jane's normally husky voice was much deeper and full of emotion.
"Donuts!" Maura squealed and slid into the vehicle. As Jane shut her door she sighed and rubbed her face. It was going to be a long night.
Should I continue? I'm really out of practice with this so if it's awful I apologize! I'll try to make my next one better!
Love you all!
