Last chapter was the highest reviewed yet, thanks so much! Here is a late night update for ya'll. I know Peter is a genius, but just go with me on this one. I tried to make this seem as realistic as possible. I love hearing what you think, so let me know. Thanks for reading =D

Peter helped me to his house because I was limping, I must have done something to my ankle when I landed on the sidewalk. Thankfully his house wasn't very far. It was a nice little place, but I didn't really have time to look to deeply. Before we even got to the door it opened and a lady, whom I'm assuming was his aunt came out.

"Peter Parker! You have an English paper to write, get in here righ-" She trailed off when she saw me with him.

"Hey Aunt May, this is Anna. She needs a little he-" He was interrupted by his Aunt gasping.

"Oh my! You poor girl! Come inside, and we'll get you all fixed up." She came over and helped us up the stairs and into the house. Once inside, she started rushing around to get some first aid equipment out. She started to wrap my ankle and put ice on it once everything was out.

"I'm sorry to be a bother. I don't want to cause any trouble." Peter raised his eyebrows and Aunt May looked shocked.

"Well I couldn't just leave you there. What kind of guy would I be then?" I gave him a little smile.

"Well, I'm very glad you came along." He grinned.

"It's no trouble at all. So what happened to you anyways?" Oh, um...well.

"Would you believe me if I said one of my brothers friends is a bit of a pyrotechnic and there was an accident."

Clint was a friend/acquaintance of Tony's, and technically he was the one who caused the explosion that got me all banged up. Not that I blame him for that. They both looked at me wide eyed. Aunt May recovered first.

"Alright...how did your arm get cut so bad?" That's an easy one.

"Broken glass, there was a window and it...well, broke. And a big piece of it hit me."

"Okay...what did you do to your ankle? Where did those bruises on your arms come from? And what were you doing outside?" Peter was looking at me curiously. Oh boy...

"Um, I tripped and fell, I think I rolled it or something." I think Aunt May could tell I getting uncomfortable with all of Peters questions.

"If you don't want to say that's fine. Peter is just very inquisitive." He looked apologetic.

"Sorry Anna, it's okay if you don't want to say." I smiled at him.

"Thanks, maybe I'll tell you later. It' just too...hard right now." I hissed in pain as Aunt May started re-doing my stiches.

"Sorry dear, this might hurt a bit." I just nodded.

"Why don't you tell us a little about yourself Anna"

"Well I went to school here at NYU, I got my Masters in Literature." With Tony's help I was able to finish. At this Aunt May looked interested.

"How wonderful! Maybe you can tutor Peter, he could do with a some help in that area." Peter looked scandalized.

"Aunt May!"

"Oh stop it, you have a science oriented mind and English is not your strong suit." I tried not to laugh, Peters face was starting to turn red.

"Well if you ever want any help, I would be glad to." He just scratched the back of his neck and changed the subject.

So Anna, have you always lived in New York City?" I shook my head.

"No, I moved here for school. Originally I'm from Texas." The both looked surprised. Aunt May asked me the next question.

"That's pretty far! Do you have any family here?"

Strange, for some reason my family, the one I was born into was hard to remember. The only memories of family that were clear was those of Tony, Bruce and all the other family I picked up along the way. The story Tony and I had concocted, was starting to sound less like a story and more like the truth. Over time, I guess I've started to forget things; it should have been obvious when I couldn't remember things during the fight between Loki and the Avengers.

"Anna?" I must have been lost in thought for longer than I thought, because Aunt May startled me.

"Oh sorry, I have a tendency to daydream. I'm adopted actually, but my both my parents died in a car accident years ago. I never really knew them." Peter snapped his head up and looked at me with interest.

"I'm so sorry Anna. I never would have asked if-" I quickly interrupted her.

"Don't apologize, it's alright. I have some great friends I call family." Peter who had been quiet piped up.

"What about your brother?" I grinned.

"I love Tony dearly, but I don't see him as often as I like. But when I do, we get into al kinds of trouble. I should call him actually."

I started patting my pockets for my special cell phone, but I couldn't find it. Oh no! I must have left it in the S.H.E.I.L.D medical room. Great, just great. Peter grinned at me.

"Is this what you're looking for?" He pulled a hand out from behind his back, and handed me my phone.

"I found it on the front porch, it must have fallen out of your pocket." What was left of my pocket anyways, there was huge rip in it.

"Oh my gosh! Thank you Peter, you're a lifesaver." Aunt May smiled.

"Well, call your brother. Don't let him worry." I dialed Tony.

"LISEY! Where are you?! It's almost been a year! I was so worried when you didn't come back with Cap. I almost killed him, Bruce only stopped me by threatening to Hul-" I turned the volume down so they wouldn't hear Tony's shouting.

"Tony, slow down! I'm fine...ish, the Parkers helped me out. Oh tell Bruce I'm alright, though I did bust my stiches." There was silence for a beat.

"You're okay?" I sighed.

"Yes Tony. I'm in Queens, with the Parkers."

"Queens? Who are the Parkers? What are you do-"

"Tony..." Funny he sound just as whiney over the phone as in person.

"I know, you're there because somebody needed you." Thankfully he didn't say that loudly.

"Okay...well tell Bruce I'm fine."

"Will do."

"I love you T." I could practically see him smirking at me.

"Everyone does."

"Bye Tony, I'll try to see you soon."

Bye Lisey." He hung up and I put my phone on table next to me. Both Parkers looked amused.

"So that was your brother? He sounds..."

"High maintenance? Yeah." Peter laughed and Aunt May smiled.

"All finished." She had completed the stiches, and stood up.

"You will have to be careful not to bust them again. And your ankle should be fine by tommrow if you keep the ice on it"

"See, I told you Aunt May could fix you up." I looked at Peter and grinned.

"You sure did, thanks so much. Both of you." They smiled, but Aunt May looked concerned.

"Anna where are you staying tonight?" Oh, I hadn't thought of that.

"Well, I don't know. Tony lives in Manhattan, I could call him back and have him come get me... Unless he's in Malibu right now."

"Nonsense! It's late, you can stay here." Wow, it was late. It was 10:00 already, what the heck.

"If that's okay..." Peter snorted.

"There is no way Aunt May would let you go any where else. Come on, I'll show you the guest room, we just have to be quiet because Uncle Ben is asleep."

So I got up and followed him upstairs.

"That's my room, this is the guest bedroom." His door was open and I could see all kinds of sciencey stuff.

"Wow you really are into science, aren't you? Who are your favorites, scientists I mean?" He looks surprised I was interested.

"Well, um...I have three that I really admire, in no particular order. Bruce Banner, Norman Osborn and Tony Stark. I know Stark isn't really a scientist per say, but his advancements in technological engineering are really amazing. And Dr. Banner's work in Gamma radiation is mind-blowing." I tried my best not to laugh. I call two out of three family.

"It's funny you're interested, being a Lit major."

"You know, I've been told that before."

"Hey tomorrows Saturday, maybe I could show you some of my experiments."

"I would love that Peter." We grinned at each other.

"Well goodnight Anna." He turned to go in his room.

"G'night Peter." I went in the guest bedroom and quickly fell asleep.

The next morning I ended up sleeping later than I planned, the clock on the bedside table read 9:30. Uhg...I slept in my clothes, my ripped up battle worn clothes. But draped on the footboard was a t-shirt and a hoodie both of which I'm assuming are Peter's. The shirt had an algebraic formula on it and the hoodie had the logo for Midtown High on it. That was really nice of him. The hoodie was long enough that it hid most of the rips in my jeans, although the arms were much too long.

After changing I walked downstairs, but stopped right before I entered the kitchen because I heard my name. Hey don't judge, wouldn't you want to hear what was being said about you?

"So this Anna, you just found her on the sidewalk?" That must be Peter's Uncle.

"Well, I almost ran into her on my skateboard at first. When I saw what kind of shape she was in I couldn't just leave her there." Did I really look that bad? Yeah probably.

"I think it was a very good thing you did Peter. That poor girl, she looked awful. I do wonder what really happened though. It looks as though she went through quite an ordeal." I didn't really think they bought my phony cover story.

"Well I like her, Anna seems like a nice person." Thanks Peter.

"Yes she does. You should take her up on that offer to tutor you."

"Aunt May!" I could hear the two adults laughing.

"Well does Anna have a last name?" I took this as my queue to come in and answer the question.

"Yes she does. Anna Harrison-Stark, nice to meet you." I startled all three of them, but Uncle Ben smiled and shook my hand.

"Ben Parker, nice to meet you as well."

"Good morning Anna. Oh good you found the clothes I put out for you. They were Peter's, I hope you don't mind."

"I don't mind at all. Though the hoodie is a bit big on me." I waved my arms, showing how large it was on me.

Would you like some breakfast? We were just about to eat."

"That would be wonderful, thank you Mrs. Parker."

"Oh just call me May, Mrs. Parker makes me feel old." I laughed.

"Okay, May it is." I sat down at the table next to Peter. He hadn't said a word since I came in, but was looking at me strangely.

"Thanks for letting me borrow your clothes." No response. I waved my hand in front of his face; that seemed to do the trick. He shook his head.

"No big deal. Uh...what did you say your last name was again?" I smirked at him.

"Annalise Harrison-Stark. Why?" His eyes grew big.

So your brother Tony..."

"Yes?" It is so hard not to laugh right now.

"Um...is his last name Stark too?" I pretended to think about it.

"Why you know, I think it is. Tony Stark, yeah that's my brother." I could tell he was trying to keep cool.

"So you were adopted by the Starks?"

"Yeah, I was. Hey you know I'm also really close with Bruce Banner." If his eyes could get any bigger. Now I had the attention of May and Ben. Both were looking at us curiously and a bit amused. I think I broke Peter, I waved my hind in front of his face again.

"Hey Peter, you okay?" He jumped at my voice.

"Yeah, yeah...I'm fine." He looked at me. "Just...what are the odds that the girl I find banged up on the sidewalk is Tony Stark's sister."

"Yeah, we don't advertise it, only a couple people know about it. The anonymity is nice, and like I said last night, I don't get to see him as often as I like." Peter was still trying to get his head around it.

"So when you were on the phone with him and told him to tell Bruce you were okay; you meant Dr. Banner?" I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, he's really protective of me. We have this father-daughter relationship."

"So let me get this straight. Tony Stark is your brother and Bruce Banner is your dad?!" I laughed.

"Yes, and Peter Parker is my friend. Right?" He looked at me for a second and then smiled.

"Yeah, friends." Before we started to eat the delicious looking pancakes May had cooked, I looked at Peter and grinned.

"I bet I could get Tony to give you a tour of Stark Tower sometime." I started to eat while Peter choked on his orange juice.

"Really?!"

Later after we finished eating, Peter and I went up to his room and he showed me all his different experiments. It was pretty cool, but after a while we just started getting to know each other got along great; it made me wonder if Tony was anything like this as a teenager, just more...Tony.

I was laying on my back on the floor, hair splayed out behind me, with my head on a pillow. And Peter was above me, sprawled out on his bed.

"Okay, what's with the gold stripe in you hair?" I laughed and started twirling the said gold stripe with my finger.

"My best friend helped my with that. It's one of his favorite colors and I don't know when I'll see him again, so it reminds me of him." Peter looked at me oddly.

"A guy is your best friend? And he helped you with you hair?" I smiled.

"Yeah, Jack is pretty awesome, if a bit of a trickster. You could say he has the magic touch." I couldn't tell him the guy who destroyed Manhattan was my best friend. Besides, Jack Frost and Loki are a bit similar, kind of.

"It suits you, Stripes."

"Excuse me?" He grinned at me.

"Stripes, that's your new nickname."

"Hmm...that's a new one." I smirked at him. "I like it, thanks Tiger." Okay I totally stole Mary-Jane's nickname, but what was I gonna call him? Einstein? Petey? Uh, no I don't think so.

"Thanks Stripes, I like it." Before I could reply, my phone rang.

"Uh, hello?"

Anna, this is Bruce. I got Tony to give me your number because he's in Malibu and I'm still here in New York. I was able to track where you are through the GPS on your phone; I'm going to come pick you up."

"Hey Bruce, that's not creepy at all. But I missed you too." He laughed.

"I missed you Anna. We all did, Rodgers was especially torn up. I really thought Tony was going to blast him."

"Yeah, he said as much. He also said you had to threaten him with going green to stop him." I could hear the smirk in his voice.

"Yes, well...now Pepper wants to use me against him."

"Pepper can be scarier than you when you're ticked off. If she can get Tony to do anything, there is nothing that woman can't do."

"Very true. I'll be over to get you in about an hour, alright?"

"Okay, take my car would you? I haven't been able to drive it in forever." He sighed.

"Alright, I'll see you in a bit."

I love you dad, bye." For a second he didn't say anything. I hope I didn't freak him out; I don't think I've ever told him I loved him before.

"I love you too Anna. See you soon." I smiled and hung up.

"Sorry about that Peter." He just shrugged, trying to be cool.

"S'alright. So what kind of car do you have?" I grinned at him.

"I guess you'll just have to wait and see." Before he could retort, Aunt May called us down for lunch.

"Anna...Peter! I've got some lunch ready." I guess we'd been up here longer than I thought. Peter turned to me and smirked.

"Race ya downstairs!" And he was gone, down the stairs. I jumped up off the ground and ran after him.

When I got downstairs he was sitting at the kitchen table looking like he'd been waiting for me. Aunt May had sandwiches on the table and Uncle Ben was sitting there smiling.

"Did you and Peter have fun?" Aunt May interjected before I could answer.

"More to the point, did you set a time to get together for a tutoring session?" Peter groaned and put his head in his hands.

"No, we didn't, not yet anyways." His head shot up.

"What do you mean?" I smirked at him.

"You don't think I'd just leave, and never come back did you Tiger?" Both Aunt May and Uncle Ben were snickering. Peter started to grin.

"Well I'm good for most afternoons. How about you?"

"I think that would work for me." After conversing with Peter's Aunt and Uncle and finishing lunch, We went outside to the porch to wait for Bruce. I got my phone out and looked at my (empty) calendar.

"How about Fridays and Saturdays? Would that work for you?"

"Yeah, that's fine." He looked a bit downtrodden.

"Hey, what's up? You look sad." He scratched the back of his neck.

"I don't have many friends at school. So if you're my tutor, we'll still be friends right?" I laughed, but quickly stopped seeing his hurt expression.

"Peter, don't be stupid, because I know you're not. Of course we'll still be friends! I wouldn't just dump you like that. Besides I owe you one, I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't found me last night." He grinned.

"It was nothing Stripes." A car pulling of in front of the house interrupted whatever I was going to say. Peter gasped.

"Is that a..."

"Yes it is. A Porsche 918 Spyder convertible." The car was a bright cherry red, but unlike the last time I saw it; there were gold accents on it. It was basically an Iron Man advertisement. Bruce got out and I waved at him, motioning him to come over.

"Bruce! I'm so glad to see you. But what happened to my car!?" He laughed nervously.

"I didn't mention? Tony decided one day that it need to be more 'Stark'. So this resulted, I told him not to but..." That really doesn't surprise me. Not one bit.

"It's much too obnoxious, but I'll deal with until I can get Tony to fix it. Oh gosh, I'm being rude. Bruce, this is Peter Parker. Peter, this is-" Peter cut me off in his excitement.

"Bruce Banner. Your work on Gamma radiation is amazing! So glad to meet you sir." I rolled my eyes, fanboy.

"Bruce, Peter is the person who found me and helped me out last night." Peter looked bashful after I mentioned that.

"It was no big deal, anyone would have done the same." Bruce smiled at him.

"No, not everyone would have. I'm in your debt, I don't know what I would have done if something happened to Anna." Now it was my turn to look bashful, God I think I'm blushing.

"Bruce!" They both laughed at me.

"Yeah, Anna is one of a kind, that's for sure."

"I am going to take that as a compliment. I'll see you Friday Tiger."

It was time to go, so I ran and jumped in the drivers seat after scrawling my number on Peter's arm with a sharpie I'd been messing around with. then we drove off with the top down. As we were driving my phone went off.

"Hey Bruce, will read me what that says?"

"Sure, good to know you don't text and drive." He grabbed my phone and read the text.

"It says: See ya around Stripes. Thanks for stealing my hoodie by the way. JK :)"

"Stripes?" I smiled, I'd totally forgotten I was wearing his hoodie. Yeah, he so wasn't' getting it back, it was way to comfy.

"New nickname. Now lets go home." He grinned.

"Tony's going to be so mad I'm here and he's not.." I laughed and gunned it, we were on the way back home.
