OMAKE 2 - Aomine
'Where is he!? That damn Demon Lord! How in the world did I get stuck with him out of all the four lords? Four for crying out loud!' An angry and irritated Wakamatsu stormed through the castle of Lord Aomine's domain. The poor demon is a secretary, meaning he manages Aomine's meetings and other important events.
Although it wasn't helping that he couldn't find the said Demon Lord in question. Wakamatsu went to the dining room, the kitchen and lastly to Aomine's office where the lord never goes, even though he should be there most of the time.
Unlike other Demon Lords who use the office to do their paper work, Aomine did none of that. Instead the tanned demon would wonder off into the kitchen to eat or laze around all day.
'Damn! I need to find him!' Wakamatsu hit the table in irritation before he heard a chuckle at the door. He turned around to see the second in command, Momoi Satsuki standing at the door. 'Looking for Dai-chan again?' She happily skipped to stand beside Wakamatsu.
'Yeah. Where is he? You should know Momoi, you know him the best.' And it was true. If there is anyone who knows Aomine like an open book then it's Momoi. She isn't Aomine's right hand and strategist for nothing.
In truth, Aomine's father feared that his son's inability to work would give him a bad reputation amongst his kind. He knew that even though his son isn't so keen on work, he's still a brilliant fighter and a leader when times call for it. However, he can't handle paperwork and all those formal necessities so Momoi was appointed from a very young age to fill in for those faults.
Ever since she was a child, Momoi studied Aomine and his habits. Even if she didn't want to, it was in her blood. After all, her family isn't feared for their information gathering for nothing.
'Hmmm~ Why are you looking for him?' She curiously asked, looking at the papers Wakamatsu held.
'I need him to sign these.' He gave the top paper to Momoi who examined it. After looking at it, she gave the paper back to Wakamatsu. 'Come with me.' She said before walking out the door with Wakamatsu behind.
xXx
A calm wind blew by, ruffling the leaves that grew on a tree that a certain tanned demon was leaning on. Even though the tree wasn't like the ones you would find in the human world, it was still comfortable enough to rest on.
Aomine listened to the wind, as a memory from long ago blew before his eyes.
xXx
A maid with black hair and black horns ran through the palace, searching for her young master who was gone. 'That little…' She hissed opening the doors to the little master's room, only to see that he wasn't there. The maid groaned before closing the door behind her. However, little did she know that the young master was actually hiding.
Aomine giggled as he jumped down from the ceiling, 'Mission complete.' He cheered, closing the hole in the ceiling (his secret hideout) before going out his room.
The small demon with sharp claws and long horns ran and ran, enjoying the breeze that embraced him as he ran. The feeling made him run even faster and faster until… he tripped.
'What're you doing Dai-chan?' Momoi teasingly asked as the little boy sat up, 'I-I'm not crying… sob… I-I'm…. sob…. waaaa! Satsuki! Why'd you do it?'
The little girl smiled, watching her best friend cry before her eyes. The small girl had long pink hair, long sharp nails, small horns and a long black tail.
'Dai-chan is the meanie~ Everyone is looking for you.' Momoi teased, smiling as Aomine cried, 'Then you should have helped me get away! Now I'll be scolded by father… sob…'
'If you didn't run in the first place then you wouldn't be scolded at all. That's why I'm here.' Momoi crossed her arms as the little demon looked away. Soon enough, footsteps could be heard nearby.
'Uncle! Auntie!' Momoi cheerfully looked over at Aomine's father and mother who were walking hand in hand towards the two children.
'Oh my! What happened dear?' Aomine's mother kneeled down to brush her son's dirty cheeks. Just like her son, she had tanned skin and blue eyes. Although her hair was completely black.
'Causing trouble again are you?' Aomine's father looked down, making Aomine look away.
'I'm not.' Aomine stubbornly said, making his parents smile.
His mother pinched his cheek, 'Come on now, we have guests.'
'Guests?' Aomine curiously asked, 'Who?'
'Lord Kise, Lord Midorima and I will have a meeting so they've both brought their sons for a visit as well.' The information made Aomine grumble, 'Why Kise?'
'Be nice Daiki.' His mother pinched his cheek again before she stood up. Little Aomine held his cheek as his parents looked down on him, 'We expect a lot from you son.'
Little Aomine didn't know what those words meant at the time but now he knows fully well what his parents meant.
xXx
Aomine, Kise, Midorima and Momoi were all in Aomine's room, either laying down or sitting down… doing nothing.
'Aominecchi, I'm bored-ssu~'
'I don't care!' Aomine grumbled, 'I didn't invite you in the first plac- Oww!'
'Dai-chan! Be nice!' The tanned demon received a hit on the head from Momoi, making Kise laugh and Midorima sigh.
'Oi! Don't laugh blondie!'
'I-I can't help myself! Aominecchi is too funny! Haha!'
'You-' BAM!
'Be nice.' Another hit on the head made a bump grow on the little demon's head.
Soon enough the room was quiet again as Aomine closed his eyes. Ever since he heard a certain rumor, it's always been on his mind. Maybe he should ask the others…
'Hey, did you hear the rumor?' Aomine asked as the other children tilted their heads to the side.
'Rumor? What rumor Aominecchi?' Kise curiously asked, speaking for both Midorima and Momoi as well. Aomine thought, not sure if he should tell his friends but… decided to anyway.
'I heard that Akashi has a brother.' Aomine said, making everyone tilt their heads again. 'A brother?' Midorima confusingly asked.
'Yeah. I heard that his existence is kept a secret and that he lives inside a tower in the king's castle. Is that true?' He looked up at everyone, searching for any kind of an answer.
'Umm… Sorry Aominecchi but… it's hard to believe… I don't think Akashicchi would hide something like that.'
Midorima placed his right hand on his chin while Momoi pouted, 'If Akashi-kun had a brother then I would know. My parents would know as well.' No information goes by the Momoi family.
'I guess…' The tanned demon lowered his head before pushing himself down on the bed. Was the rumor really false?
xXx
'Dai-chan!' Aomine frowned when the annoying voice of his right hand woke him up from his sleep. The tanned demon frowned, turning to the side to try and block out the noise. Then suddenly he felt papers fall down on him.
'Oi! What's this?' He looked up to see a fuming Wakamatsu, standing above him. 'You know very well what this is! These are the documents Kise-sama sent for you to sign! Did you forget?'
'Huh? Kise? Throw it away, I don't want it.'
'Oi!' Wakamatsu fumed as Momoi sighed, 'You'll have to sign them Dai-chan or else your collection of Mai-chan photo shoot books will vanish~'
'What!? Please don't burn them Satsuki! Anything but that!'
'Hehe~' Momoi didn't know why her lord loves to look at pictures of human women but she guessed Aomine was just a pervert… which he is.
The Demon Lord sighed, 'Fine.' He began gathering the papers along with Wakamatsu when suddenly another staff member walked up to them.
'U-Umm… G-Good morning Aomine-sama. I baked these and was wonder-'
'Sakurai-kun!' Momoi hugged the said demon tightly. 'Why didn't you call me? I could have helped.' At that remark, Aomine and Wakamatsu deadpanned. Anything… Anything but her cooking…
'Ano… I'm sorry to interrupt but I was wondering if you would like to try these-' The cookies were snatched away from his tray before Sakurai could even offer them to his lord.
'They're good. Gimme more.'
'Dai-chan!' Momoi frowned.
'Y-Yes! I-I'm sorry! I-I should have made m-more. I'm sorry!' Soon Sakurai received another hug from Momoi, 'Calm down Sakurai-kun. It's okay. This time I'll help you too.'
"No… Please no…" Aomine and Wakamatsu pleaded for mercy upon their souls…
The tanned demon sighed, leaning on the tree before looking up at the sky. He didn't like it. This strange feeling that haunts him…
'Wakamatsu, if something happens you're in charge of my region.' Aomine's words confused the other. 'What?'
'What do you mean Dai-chan?'
'I mean what I said.' Aomine looked over at Momoi, 'You too Satsuki. If something happens then… Do what you think is right.'
Both Wakamatsu and Momoi tilted their heads to the side while Aomine looked back up at the red sky of the demon world. Whenever his instincts tell him that danger is approaching… they're mostly spot on.
