I'M BACK!

I'm so, so, so, so, so sorry times infinity that I haven't updated since September. I've been sidetracked with things, but I'm back, and my [late] New Years resolution is to get back into the groove of updating and everything.

It's a bad sign when you have to go through and re-read a chapter because you forget what happens, but I'm back and I hope to stay back!

In the many months I've been gone, I've gotten more comfortable with my writing, especially my smexy scenes, and I wanted to ask you, my readers, yes you guys, what you'd like.

Since I have gotten better and more comfortable with lemons, I wanted to ask if you guys would like it I went through and started to write my lemons more detailed, you know with more euphemisms for things and more sexually open and stuff, or keep it the way it is? It's your choice, I can switch over easily since I've been doing so many things lately that have helped me work on that. Feel free to review your answers, or PM them, and yes, I know I've come back with a really sad, kind of boring chapter, but I promise I will try to get back into the groove of updating. Expect more of me, and I hope to see your answers soon! That is you guys bother...

I do apologize for the length, this is a warm-up and a way to get feedback, since you know, FF doesn't have a journal system that IT SO HEAVILY NEEDS. I hope you enjoy the chapter either way.

Anyway, read on! (Note that this hasn't been over read for any errors, so excuse any of there are. I don't think there are, but I'm a very unreliable person with the way I do things.)

I woke up to my arms around Rumble. This startled me, so I sat up quickly looking around. This hadn't woken up Rumble, luckily, but…

What had happened? It felt like yesterday was a blur for some reason, which is weird because nothing should've happened to make me feel like this. I put my head on my head, wincing in pain. Massive headache. Could I be getting a cold? I couldn't be getting a-

"Are you okay?" Rumble asked quietly, bringing me out of my thinking trance. I turned to face Rumble where I gave him a fake smile.

"Y-Yeah, why?" I asked him, he shrugged.

"You just seem…shaken." Rumble said back as he stood up from the bed, looking around and stretching. A ding rang throughout the room, followed by a voice that was somewhat monotone and loud enough to slightly vibrate the train.

"Everyone getting off at the Piltover stop, we have arrived to your destination. I repeat, everyone getting off at the Piltover stop, we have arrived at your destination. Thank you." The voice spoke throughout the train.

I turned to Rumble who was looking up at the ceiling of the train, as if trying to find the source of the sound. "You want to go now?" I asked Rumble. He turned his gaze to me, where he softly sighed.

"Sure. I wanted to avoid going to the academy as best as I could, but it was going to happen either way." Rumble said back as he made his way over to his already shut suitcase, which he picked up. I went around the room collecting any things I had left littered around, when I saw that the area that was Jayce's was clean and that the bed was back into the wall. Another temporary roommate leaving without saying anything. Once I had gathered everything up, we walked out of the cabin and out to the hall of the train, going down to the end where a door that led out was. A human in uniform nodded to us as we stepped out onto the platform that the train had stopped at. I looked to the right platform, seeing the huge city that is Piltover, complete with the giant buildings and everything. I was so excited to be back to the place I would always spend all of my time at…before I met Rumble.

We walked past the little overhead pass that covered the platform and into the building behind it, where people were waiting for trains, yordles and human alike. We walked past on the hard, blue floor that seemed to reflect every strand of light hitting it, going out the big double doors that a doorman had to push for us. I'm glad Piltover took the initiative to finally give more respect to its yordle residents. We reached the beautiful pearl white street and sidewalk. I looked past all the buildings around all the way to the Yordle Academy, gleaming beautifully off in the distance atop its platform. I turned to Rumble and sighed.

"Your choice, we walk to the academy and spend an hour or two or we take a bus that can either take even longer." I said to Rumble. He put a finger to his chin.

"I say bus, I like the busses after we took one to Noxus." Rumble said to me, I nodded and I began walking towards the nearest bus stop that was luckily down the street. Rumble eagerly followed behind me until we reached the stop where I checked the schedule.

"The next bus comes in an hour. That's shorter than I thought it would be." I said as I hopped onto the human height bench which made me feel like I was high off the ground. Rumble did the same. We sat in a really awkward silence for a few minutes until Rumble decided to speak.

"Are you okay?" He asked me. I guess he could tell the expression on my face was a little different than usual.

"Just a little nervous to be back. This is my home and I'm ecstatic that I'm back. It's been ages, and not only that, you're here with me." I said to Rumble as I smiled. He smiled back and took my hand in his, feeling the palm of it with his fingers and the fur on the back of my hands with his thumb.

"Only for you." Rumble said back happily as he put his head on my shoulder, scooting himself closer to me. I wrapped my arm around him and brought him even closer, smiling. He gave me an odd look. "You're being very affectionate right now." Rumble whispered into my ear.

"I'm home, it makes me feel more loving. Besides, I'm not going to hide my true self to anyone, and that includes everyone at Piltover." I said back. Rumble gave me a big smile.

"Why hello there." A voice said to the right of us, startling us and pushing us apart. We turned and saw Caitlyn, happily smirking at the sight of us being spooked by her.

"Sheriff!" I said loudly, not noticing how loud I actually had said that.

"Professor and Rumble, good to see you." Sheriff said happily to us, Rumble turned to me and gave me a glare. I guess being called 'Rumble' there didn't float with him. Did he want some title like, Engineer? Menace?

"It's good to see you too." I said back happily as Rumble took my hand in his again. I didn't bother fighting it back.

"What brings you two here?" Caitlyn asked me, eyeing our luggage.

"Back for some work at the academy. They really need me this year or semester, not sure. Heimerdinger more than anyone wanted me to come." I responded, Rumble giving off a rude look at Heimer's name. I nudged him with my shoulder, laughing internally.

"Oh well, what are you doing here then?" Caitlyn asked back, slightly pointing.

"Waiting for the bus." I said back, she scoffed.

"The bus? You guys don't deserve to take the bus, you're members of the league! I can give you a ride to the academy if you'd like." Caitlyn said back as she put the end of her gun on the floor and then leaned over it. I cringed at the thought of that thing snapping, that would be the end of the sheriff.

"C-Could you really?" I asked her back, stuttering.

"Of course! Follow me you two." She said as she turned around, waving behind her for us to follow. Rumble and I hopped off the chair and took our luggage in her hands, running behind her. Once we arrived to the destination, a bright blue moped, Caitlyn urged us to get on it, despite our wariness.

"I don't know Sheriff, this looks dangerous." I said, she scoffed back.

"Professor, don't be so scared. Trust me, I know what I'm doing, I've driven this thing through crowds, riots, and over potholes and death traps, and it's still in once piece and so am I." She said back. I looked at her moped carefully, seeing many scratches and slight dents here and there.

"I don't know Sheriff…" I repeated. I looked over to Rumble and saw that he was making his way to the moped, hopping on behind Caitlyn.

"Come on Ziggs, it'll be fun." Rumble said as he tried to reach for his suitcase from the moped, failing miserably.

I sighed loudly and shook my head. "Fine." I said back as I made my way to the back of the moped and squeezed the suitcases into the basket on the back of the moped. I clawed at the moped as I tried to get on top of it, only to have Rumble help me up.

"You guys ready?" Caitlyn asks from the back, I see Rumble nod despite her not being able to see him.

"No." I said to her, and then I felt the moped lurch forward and begin moving. Caitlyn started off slow, the wind wrestling with my fur and ears as we began driving down the street. Then, in an instant, Caitlyn drove the speed higher and we began moving at a nauseating speed. I couldn't bring my mouth to say anything because I was so frightened, along with the wind that made it impossible to move my mouth, even as I had my arms around Rumble and my head put against his back. I closed my eyes, too afraid to open them during the whole ride. And then, what felt like a few minutes later, we came to a complete stop. I could hear a distant cranking, and knew instantly that they were the tiny fans of the academy that provided it with electricity.

"We're here." Caitlyn said. Rumble took my arms off of himself and I felt the moped lighten as he hopped off. I slowly opened my eyes, being greeted by the giant academy in front of me. It looked bigger than I remembered it did, and more magnificent.

"Welcome home." Rumble said happily as he got out suitcases out of the back of the moped. Caitlyn stood idly off to the side of the moped as she watched me stare in awe at the academy.

"Is it always like this for you, Professor? Coming back to the academy and it always feeling like the first time?" Caitlyn asked me.

"All the time." I say back, not taking my eyes off of the academy.

"It's amazing. I always loved this building, but as you know, I'm not allowed in. It was hard to get you guys up here too. Getting through the tunnel that leads up to here was hard, so I called ahead and got an all clear." Caitlyn said as she turned and looked up at the academy.

"Thank you Sheriff." I said as I hopped of the moped.

"No, thank you. Thank you for giving me an up close view of the building I may never see." Sheriff said to me with a slight smile, followed by her hopping on her moped and driving slowly off to where the tunnel that led down to the city streets was.

"You want to go in?" Rumble asked me from behind. I turned and nodded to him.

"Yeah, yeah, sure." I said back to Rumble as we began walking to the massive gold doors that led into the academy.

"You'll love it." I said back Rumble, referring to my office. We walked down the Administrator Hall in the academy, which is a beautiful bright blue with argyle walls and stopped at my door, the one and only room 249. Except for the other 249 that was in the student's quarters…

"We'll see." Rumble said back as we came to a stop at my door. I scanned my pass ID at the door and we walked inside. The beautiful smell of lilacs and other nameless flowers filled my nostrils. I loved how they sent beautiful smelling stuff and cleaning agents through the vents into rooms that hadn't been occupied for a certain amount of time. Rumble walked ahead of me and looked around the magnificent room. It was basically a hotel room, the entrance part being a livingroom style room, all the furniture a cherry wood the size for yordles. Behind that area was the kitchen, adorned with cherry wood cabinets and everything, which looked rustic but at the same time, new and beautiful. To the right of the livingroom area were a few stairs that led to a elevated area where the bed and all the cabinets used to store clothing was.

"Like it?" I ask as I set my suitcase at the foot of the stairs that led up to the bedroom area.

"It's huge!" Rumble said as he looked around the whole place, even looking up at the ceiling that had a glass chandelier hanging above the livingroom area. I giggled as I made my way to the couch and plopped myself onto it, lightly bouncing.

"And not only that, I don't have to actually show up until Monday." I said happily as I sprawled myself over the couch, taking in the soft red material of the couch.

"And today's Friday." Rumble said back happily as he lifted my feet off and sat down where they were at, placing my feet on his lap.

"And hopefully…Heimerdinger won't ruin this for us. He knows you came, but we'll see what he decides to do." I say back to Rumble, knowing that he is a very unreliable person when it came to patterns in his behavior. It was something very unique about the genius, or as Rumble called him, the manipulative liar.

"And no TV here either." Rumble added, looking straight ahead to the fireplace that wasn't lit or anything. I usually used it for winter, which was actually coming up, now that I thought about it…

"There actually is a television, sorry to say. It's just hidden behind that wall, gotta flip a switch to make it turn over but I'm not flipping that switch anytime soon." I explained to Rumble who smiled as he leaned himself over and placed his body next to mine, snuggling up to me and putting his arm around me.

"Mmmm…." Rumble says quietly as he nuzzles his face into my side. I wrap my arms around him and take in the feeling that I missed for so long, despite the fact that I really didn't want to tell Rumble that because it would've egged him on in the past when I wanted to avoid things like this. At this point I couldn't hold him back anymore. I looked down at him, and he looked up at me with his beautiful yellow eyes.

"Ziggs?" He says quietly to me.

"Yeah?" I ask back, adjusting myself a little.

"Do…do you still love me?" He asks back quietly. I chuckle and kiss his forehead.

"Of course. Why wouldn't I?" I ask back quietly. He shrugs and places his had onto my shoulder, his Mohawk rubbing up against my cheek.

"Because of my issues." He says back. Oh. Right. I sighed quietly and turned to him, kissing the top of his head through the Mohawk, ruffling it lovingly with my hand afterwards.

"Your issues? Why would I hate you for them? It was beyond your control, and I'm willing to wait a thousand years for you to be comfortable again." I say back. He snuggles closer to me, wrapping his arms around me as he keeps his head on my shoulder.

"But I am ready, Ziggs…" He says quietly. I shake my head and look back at the fireplace in front of us. Dead and sad looking. How I wanted that thing to be burning brightly, just like our love was. It was rekindling and I absolutely loved it. But it scared me a lot at the same time. What if I pushed Ziggs away by bringing back the one thing between us that was so…strong. The true meaning of love.

"I believe, but I'm scared to go that far right now," I say back as I run my hand through his soft Mohawk. I wondered how it would look if it was dyed purple at the tips… "But I'm scared, I'm not gonna lie. I'm scared to." I say quietly as he leans in closer to me and kisses my cheek, making my blush slightly. Wait, was I blushing? Since…since when did I blush? I gasp quietly and turn to Rumble who's smirking at me.

"I see someone blushing." He says in a sing-songy voice. I clear my throat loudly and speak.

"N-No," My voice cracks and almost spill everything right then and there, but I hold back on that urge and take in a big breath. "I just…I don't know. You have an effect on me, and I swear that's what it was right there. You just made my blush, for like the first time ever." I say back adjusting my goggles which were about to fall off. He laughs back and puts his hands on my goggles, sliding them off my head slowly and leaning in to kiss me afterwords. He bites softly at my lip before pulling back and tossing my goggles onto the coffee table. I cross my arms and raise one of my eyebrows, wondering how my eyes looked at that current moment.

"What?" Rumble asks me as he leans back on the couch, hands behind his head.

"What are you up to?" I ask suspiciously, my eyes roaming around the room as they stop on the chandelier that I absolutely loved. It cost me a lot, and it was worth every cent.

"Would you believe me if I said I just wanted to…see your eyes?" He says mockingly, leaning over and placing a hand on my thigh which he massages.

"I would've of if you didn't start feeling me up like that." I say back, smiling a little as I cross my arms again.

"Well," he says as he runs his hand up my thigh more, making me shiver to myself. "I just…feel you know, loving right now." He says as he finally leans into kiss me, his hand still massaging my thigh.

"Rumble…please…" I say quietly as I slide his hand off of my thigh. He gives me a heavily disappointing look that makes me feel some massive guilt as he leans back onto his side of the couch, looking straight at the fireplace.

"Alright…" He says quietly before getting up and walking past me and out the door. I didn't say anything, and it hit me to what had happened in those few seconds it took him to leave my apartment. I got up and began walking to the door, stopping myself halfway. He was already gone, I knew I wouldn't be able to catch up. Then it hit me. He was wandering the school he absolutely hated so much. And he was in an extremely bad mood, too. I walk out the door quickly and see that Rumble is across the door against the wall, crying into his hands.

I sigh to myself quietly and sit next to Rumble, wrapping my arms around him and placing his head on my shoulder. He loudly weeps into my shoulder, muffled by it as he begins to pour tears onto it. I place my hand on his back and rub it slowly, trying to calm him as his Mohawk rubs into my face, his sobs bouncing against the wall to us, giving off a weird effect to them. He wraps his arm around me and cries louder, the top of his head rubbing up against my neck.

"Shhh, it's alright, I understand. I'm sorry…" I say quietly as I kiss the top of his head.

These feelings suck. I want this to pass already.
