xiv. quote
It's been over a year
Since our war
Was won,
And the sun warms
The earth
Like it
Is the only star in the sky.
Her NEWT scores will come
In July, sealing her fate.
What she doesn't know
Is that I have a box
In my pocket that
Will be the most important
O she's ever received.
The perfect circle of it
Ready to grasp her finger,
Promise her to me,
And me to her.
We may not be ready
For such promises yet,
But whether or whether not
We spend our lives together,
We will still have
Impacted each other
In ways we could never have imagined
Back on that train ride.
And even if I wake up
To find this is all a dream,
I would still think of her
In every choice I make,
Choosing what I know
She would want.
We may be too young,
Too naive,
From the outside:
Two nineteen year olds who
Don't quite know the world yet, but
We have lived through war,
Been hunted for being friends
With the Chosen One.
We may not know the world yet,
But we know ourselves,
And that is all we need for this.
And then
The prospect of asking
Doesn't sound so scary anymore.
Promise
A poem by Ron Weasly
This is not
The last promise
We will ever make to each other, it is
The beginning of a string,
Toppling over like dominoes
Till we reach our end.
I promise my heart to you;
Will you promise yours
To me?
~A quote from Hermione Granger~
yes.
