Jacob's POV
We ran through the forest, my paws crunching on the dead leaves as I shot between distorted trunks of trees, growling in response to my worry and anger. The others ran by my side, looking at me. Tanya held a phone to her ear as she too, ran at one hundred miles per hour through the greenery.
"That's right." she told whoever was on the other end of the phone back at the Sanctuary. "Jacob's looking into his memories, we're going to try catch up to him before he flees." she told them before she hung up. I let my mind race outwards ahead of us, flying through space and time as I tried to locate the thoughts that belonged to the young wolf. Brady Fuller
I caught a glimpse of something, a mountain peak the shape of an apple, and realized he was running by it in the distance. I growled to get my friends attention before branching off diagonally towards Apple Rock, a place I had heard Edward speak of years ago, when he mentioned hunting. Brady was near there.
The others followed me until we came out before a giant crystal like lake, and far in the distance our advanced supernatural eyes could see the pale grey and white wolf, fleeing in the opposite direction.
Brady Fuller! Stop! It's me, Jacob! I let my thoughts escape my mind and race towards him, he was too far. I knew if my thoughts didn't reach him now he would flee without realizing who his followers were. But instantly we made the connection, I felt my mind link with his like it had done with my past pack members. I hadn't felt this connected to another in so long that the experience was mesmerizing.
"He's stopped." Nadine said and she was right. Brady had stopped. I could see him looking straight at me, the look of shock, joy and also sorrow on his wolf face. I did my best to smile in wolf form, to reassure him and I knew, just by reading his memories he had seen my smile.
Jacob? His voice was in my head and it made me shiver. I had not had this in a long time, His voice was deeper than I remembered, more manly.
Brady. I replied to him. Don't fear these guys, you know Rose and Tanya, the others are friends. Trust me. Come down here. We need you. Not long latter we all sat, waiting around the creek while he made his way back to us. I phased back and changed into clothes and then I hear his footsteps and I hear him phase.
Brady Fuller walked out from behind a tree.
The boy I remembered in my memory, that short kid who was terrified of even looking at a wolf, was gone and in his place stood a man. Brady was only fifteen years old but due to the werewolf transformation he looked about nineteen. He was skinny but muscular, his abs rippled up and down his chest and pectorals. His biceps were almost as big as mine.
Almost.
He still had his same old eyes though, a dark brown which blended in with the pupil of his eye. His hair looked like soft chestnut feathers upon his head, and were styled awesomely to say he had just phased back. His face had changed too, not so round; more angular and masculine but his lips were plump and full, not something often seen in masculine men. He grinned at us and flashed his pearly white teeth
"Jacob." He said and I laughed as I hurried up to the kid and pulled him into a soft, warm hug. We all reunited with Brady, and it was so awesome for me to one: meet another living guy who knew all this and knew more about what I had been through. He was the most like me and two: read his memories and not only have his memories but knowledge and experience, this also allowed him to link with me and learn a little about the Sanctuary.
We took Brady back to the Sanctuary, where he learnt more of us, who we are, what we do and what our goal is.
"You have a choice to make now, werewolf." Anaphora addressed Brady. I laughed at knowing he hated the fact she called him werewolf and not Brady.
"I've got a name." he told her and she just nodded.
"Hm. Whatever." she replied, "Anyhow, you must decide. You can either leave us but I warn you if you reveal our location to anyone I will tear your intestines out with my teeth..."
"She's not even kidding." I muttered.
"Or you can stay here and be a part of the army, a part of the resistance. Make your choice wisely."
"I'll stay of course." he said and I laughed and patted him on the back. "But...i think I may be able ti help us out?"
"We're not looking for help with strategy, boy." she said.
"You may not...but you might need another eighteen wolves that might be willing to join us?" he said and we turned to stare at him.
"Eighteen wolves?" I asked, "Who?"
He grinned at me. "I met a pack, another pack across the country, on the opposite end of Canada. I think it'll take some convincing but they may help us. What'd you say?" I grinned and looked at Rosalie, Tanya, anyone but they all looked at me.
"When do we leave?"
FanWriter's Note: Brady Fuller is nowhere near important in Breaking Dawn but I find myself drawn to his character. So the idea of including him was intriguing to me. Not much is known about him so it feels like I've given him a personality all his own.
Question for Chapter 14...
Do you like the way I've created Brady Fuller. I understand you haven't seen much of him yet but still?
