AND I AM BACK! VACATION FTW! Ok so even though I have vacations, instead of being a lazy-ass this time, I will be doing lots of activities. Next week I will leave and I'll be gone for a long time. So I'll try to make it up to you guys by writing as much as I can during this short period… HERE WE GO!

Chapter 14

Ame arrived breathless to the hospital. He looked around trying to find Souhei, but he was nowhere. A couple of nurses passed by him and coquettishly waved at him, just like they always did. Ame was actually quite popular in the hospital, he even had his own fan club made up by a couple of nurses and some patients.

He looked at the counter and saw the old lady who loved to call him Sonny. He went towards her, "Hey, it's me, Sonny, my sister was brought here. Could you please guide me or tell me which is my sister's room." She looked up at him and was about to smile, but then stopped as she noticed his desperate face. The lady then proceeded to type something in the computer.

She looked up at him, "Sonny, she is in room 407. Now you-" Ame was gone as soon as he heard the room number. He knew the way; that was the room that was usually empty were he would study and eventually fall asleep in.

Ame just looked straightforward, so he didn't notice when he passed by Souhei who was standing in the side of the hallway. Ame entered the room, and there she was. Lying in the bed, with some bandages wrapped on her left shoulder. While her right foot had a cast, but it had being lifted up.

Ame's bag slipped off his shoulder and fell to the ground. He was petrified, he didn't know what to do. He always thought that if he found his sister everything would be fine. But it wasn't like that at all. Suddenly Souhei appeared behind him and pressed Ame's shoulder trying to comfort him.

This brought Ame back to reality. It wasn't time to sulk, he was the man of the family therefore he needed to act like it. He got closer to Yuki's bed and pulled a chair in. He picked his bag and took out a couple of his books and started to study again. It was decided, he would study but he would also take care of his sister.

Finally he took out his father's driver's license and placed it in the small desk next to Yuki's bed. 'Dad, I will take care of them now. So don't worry.' Ame thought, as he started to work on his medical studies. Souhei pulled a chair to other side of Yuki's bed.

He took hold of her hand and shifted his look to Ame, "Hey, I know who did this." Souhei said, gripping Yuki's hand tighter.

Ame's eyes widened. He suddenly jumped off his chair and was grabbing Souhei by the collar of his shirt. "Tell me!" He said at the same time growling a bit. The rage Ame had was so high. His instincts as a wolf was to take revenge for his family.

Souhei tapped Ame's hand gently, "You can't! Think of Yuki, do you really believe taking revenge for her would make her happy?" Ame understood, he noticed Souhei was right. He started to loosen his grip on Souhei's shirt.

"I'm sorry," He said as he slouched in his chair. "I just don't know what to do now. Someone injured my sister, my mom is sick. What should I do?" Ame said in the border of tears.

Souhei let out a small sigh, "After my mother died, I was left in the care of my step-father. After a week of her death he disappeared, and left me alone with my baby sister. What was a middle school student like me supposed to do with a baby?"

Souhei's eyes looked down at Yuki. "Then one day I saw her. It was early in the morning, I was delivering newspaper. I was in my bike, but I stopped. Right outside a boarding school this girl stood. She was reciting something while crying. The same thing she had said the day she attacked me." Ame lifted his head as he looked at the scar in Souhei's ear.

"I will be a little girl, all the way home." Souhei repeated her words. "Her face partly looked like a wolf. Yes Ame, I know about you guys being wolves. Her problem with keeping herself human, she was away from her family. But she still kept on trying to keep on going. I then started to properly take care of my sister. Obviously, my father eventually came back and took her away. But still, since that day I have gotten the strength to keep on going." Souhei kissed the tip of Yuki's fingers. "This girl is the love of my life." It accidentally slipped out of his mouth, he was about to take it back.

"Don't worry I already knew about it." Ame said. "Plus it was pretty obvious with the way you are holding her hand. Don't worry, you are a good guy." Ame said, he then shifted his eyes right into Souhei's eyes. They started to get red, "But you know, if you ever hurt her, I promise that I will hurt you." Ame said. He yawned a bit and shook his head. "By the way, who did this to her? Was it that guy? The one whose father killed," He paused for a second and looked at the picture of his father, "my dad?"

Souhei had never heard anything about this. "Wait what? Takeshi's father? What's going on?" Souhei said completely lost. Ame shook his head and dropped the topic there. He opened one of his books and started reading.

"If she hasn't told you then it's better for me not to say anything either." Ame finally said, and there it ended. Ame went back to his books and Souhei kept on digging in his brain, trying to understand what was going on.

It was around 3:45 am when Yuki woke up. She felt something heavy on both her sides. She tried to pull herself up. It was weird, she didn't know where she was. She rubbed her eyes and found that she was in a bed. She started to feel around when she noticed she had something holding her shoulder together.

There were some bandages, really tightly pressed. She could feel how they spread from her shoulder onto her chest. She tried to shuffle her foot, but it felt completely numb. She tried to shuffle around once again, when she heard someone moan to her side. Now she could see that to the sides of the bed there were two guys lying there.

Souhei and Ame had fallen asleep right next to her. Ame had his books lying around him, meaning he feel asleep studying. While Souhei was holding her left hand tightly. She smiled at the thought that she wasn't alone.

What she didn't notice was that by the door there stood Takeshi. In pain from what he had done, but happy that he had failed. Once Yuki closed her eyes, he entered and placed a note inside her right palm. Yuki was still awake but she acted as if she was asleep.

Takeshi was about to disappear out the hallway, but Yuki had already opened her eyes and seeing him walk away. Yuki unfolded the note and started to read. The writing wasn't good, but it was still understandable. It said:

Dear Yuki,

I am now departing on a big trip. My mother is from England, so I will go there and visit my family. I will never meet you again, no matter how much it hurts. This is the only way I can protect you, my precious friend. Please forget about me.

Hearne Takeshi

Yuki closed the note and for some reason tears started to flow down her face. How come Yuki never noticed it? Takeshi's last name meant 'Mythical hunter'. Yuki wiped the tears away. 'One day for sure I will save you Takeshi, my friend.' Yuki promised. She remember the last words she heard from him. I love you.

Obviously Yuki wasn't an expert in the love field, but at least she understood the feeling. Love, to love someone. Everyone experienced it, even Yuki. She looked down at her brother and smooth his hair. 'Love like in family love,' Yuki thought. She looked to her side and saw Souhei. She tightened her grip on his hand a little. 'Love like in a friendship,' she then let out a small sigh and looked up. 'Or like love as if in falling in love.' She said, and felt that it didn't matter because her love would never come true.

Yuki finally decided to go to bed, she needed to rest. She placed the note under herself like that no one could find it. She gave one more look to the two guys that were lying by her side. She smiled and went back to sleep.

HEY! Hope you like it, I did it within watching the World Cup and celebrating father's day with my family… btw before Friday I'll try to finish another chapter or two.. Yes I am leaving on Friday! And there you go… the love part has started, Yuki is inlove…
