Chapter 13: Let's Rocket: Part 1

"No, she died not that long ago. Zeddic's wife was your little sister, Katie…"

"You have got to be kidding me!" Tommy yelled, his voice echoing off the walls and ringing in everyone's ears.

Zordon felt Tommy's anger rise up in him, "This isn't good. His powers are blooming. If I don't do something soon, he'll blow up the Command Center." "Alexander, please, calm down. The Command Center is going to blow up," he looked over and already saw sparks flying on one of the less important components of the supercomputer.

"You just told me my sister is married to the Evil Lord Zedd and you want me to calm down?!" he was now starting to glow a faint white light.

"Tommy, calm down!" Adam yelled, but he wasn't able to get through to him. He tried to morph, but he forgot that Zordon just transferred the powers to the new Rangers. "Andros, get yourself and the others out of here! Now! Take the rest of my team with you!"

"But Lord Parris…" the young God tried to argue with Adam.

"That's an order, solider!" Adam was now glowing like Tommy was.

Andros got on his hover board and flew as fast as he could around and around, creating a type of tornado that picked up the new and old Rangers and took them out of the Command Center.

Tommy's powers were starting to turn into pure rage, Zordon was scared he was going to lose his son after he just got him back, "Please, Alexander! You have to calm down!" he cried out.

Tommy growled and was about to call forth his lost sword when a huge bolt of lightning struck down in the Command Center's main room. He turned and saw a larger than life Pegasus flying down in the opening in the roof and landing in the center of the room. On the back of the great steed was Zeus, Zeddic and… "Katie?"

Katie got off the horse and walked over to her brother, slapping him across the face, having the sound echo all over the room, "You idiot! Getting upset over something so trivial! You could have killed yourself and everyone around you! You didn't even give Zordon a chance to explain everything!" she yelled.

Tommy's power started to calm and the rage inside of him slowly left his body.

"I've never seen you act the way you did just now. You should be ashamed of yourself. Not even during the War did you act like this. How dare you?" she felt like slapping him again.

Zeddic walked over to Adam and helped him up, "You okay, kid?"

Adam looked at him, eyes wide, "Zedd?"

Zeddic sighed, "His soul. My body is what you know as 'Lord Zedd.' I'm the good guy."

Adam raised his eyebrow, "Somehow, I believe that."

Tommy feel to his knees, ashamed of what he was about to do, "I…I don't know what came over me. I mean…I've never acted so foolish before."

"Actually, you were pretty foolish when you first accepted your Ranger powers from Rita, but that's because she is your mother and was able to easily turn you…" Katie half smiled, "And you are an idiot… but Gods help you if you do that again. I will come down from the Palace myself and hit you so hard, Zordon will feel it!"

Tommy looked up at his father, "I'm sorry father for acting as I did. I should have listened to you before acting."

Zordon sighed, "I should punish you, but you've already been through so much…I think you've learned your lesson, but if you ever go off on a rage like that again, I will take away your powers and seal you in the Astro Prison myself. Am I understood?!"

Tommy nodded, "Yes, father."

Zordon then walked over and helped him up, "Alright," he then called over the communications array and had Andros bring back the others.

"My son is sorry for the way he acted. I can understand why he acted the way he did. His little sister meant the world to him and finding out she's the wife of the lord of evil can set you off," Zordon explain to the others.

Finally, after remaining quite the whole time, Kat spoke up, "Why aren't we part of this past life?"

"Not everyone on Earth lived in the Great Galaxy. The Great Galaxy itself is a far off place and many eons old. The best way to put it to you is, compared to the Great Galaxy, the Milky Way is nothing more than an infant to a great-great-great-great-grandparent," Zordon explained. "I granted the rest of you the Power Ranger powers because I saw the good in your hearts and the purity if your souls. You are everything we need or needed as is the case for some of you to defeat evil, no matter who the evil is. I knew our children couldn't do it alone, even once they gain all their memories and powers, they are going to need an army of good to fight in the war over evil," Zordon explained, "You will be needed again someday."

Everyone, expect for the Gods of both the past and present were in shocked, "You mean there is something out there that is worse than Divatox?" said the young boy, Justin, who like Kat, remained silent until now.

Zeddic replied instead of his brother, "Haven't you been listening? This 'something' killed GODS! It raped, murdered and tore people apart, limb-by-limb! It commented crimes that make my father look like a saint!"

Zordon sighed, "Good going, Zeddic. Put those images into the boys' head. Besides, he doesn't even know about our father, idiot!"

Justin looked at the two Gods fight, "What did he do that was so bad?"

Silence filled the room, "We dare not speak of his crimes," said the Gods in unison.

"Do not ask about it again, young Justin," Zordon replied.

"But…?" Justin protested.

"Justin, just don't," replied Adam, "Just think of it like this, the topic of the father of the Gods is forbidden. No one is allowed to say anything," however he knew deep inside that it was true; all the Gods did.

Justin was still curious, but for now he just nodded and dropped the subject, "Maybe I can look it up online or something when I get home later," he thought to himself.

Andros could sense the tension in the air and decided a change in the topic was needed, "My lord, what are your orders for myself and your new Rangers."

Zordon turned to his nephew and smiled, whispering a thank you, "Your mission is to protect the Milky Way from the perils of evil," he then turned on the view screen, "You and the other Mega Rangers will board the Astro Mega Ship and take it to the edge of the Milky Way and protect it."

Andros placed his arm over his chest and bowed his head, "We accept your orders, my lord."

Zordon returned the gesture, "May the Gods protect you on your journey," he then snapped his fingers and the new Rangers were teleported to the space ship and soon after, it took off.
