"Release!" Shino said behind me. "Aoki, someone is casting a genjut-"

I could feel the scars on my back heating up and a barrier was set around me. I couldn't feel it. "I'm fine, Shino... but what's happening?" I looked toward the two sound village ninja who seemed preoccupied and fidgety most of the time. I took out of Kunai knife. "Mind explaining what is going on?" I asked them, but an explosion set off toward the Hokage and I couldn't help but look back. No... this can't be happening. A black barrier appeared around the Hokage, no one can get through the barrier...

The sand village ninja had disappeared with the red-head that was just in the arena. I can't believe I let them go...

"Shino, what do we do?"
"I don't know." He answers. "Find Kiba and Hinata, that's the first thing. Get Hinata out of here, she isn't completely healed from the preliminary rounds."
"Well, what about you?" Shino didn't fight, and although I won my match easily I was still a little winded from it. Shino disappeared. Did they go after them? Have I mis-read Shino this whole time? Is he itching for a fight since he missed his chance? Or is it something else? It didn't matter, I needed to find Kiba. "Kiba?!" I yelled frantically. My cries just echoed throughout the quiet stadium. Everyone fell into a genjutsu trap and fell asleep throughout the stadium. Is kiba under this spell too? I ran to Kiba and Hinata's seats to find them missing. Where are they? I was too tired from my match to concentrate on my senses leading me to them.

Jonin fought some of the enemies that were hidden among the arena. I tried my best to avoid them, hiding from them. They could be hiding anywhere, waiting to attack.

"Where do you think you're going?" Some people sporting the sand village headband stood behind me as I was trying to crawl on the floor. Two others from the sound village were in front. I stood up, no use hiding. I don't know if I can take on multiple people at once right now. I can defend myself, but I don't know how long I could go... This whole thing had to be planned weeks in advance.
"Aoki!" I heard a familiar voice yell and Kiba surprised one of the ninja behind me and I was able to take out the other one before the others could react. I put a force field around us before they tried to get us caught off guard. Kiba stood infront of me, protecting me from the others that stood in front. "You okay?" He asked.
"Just a little winded from earlier. Where were you? I was worried, you weren't in your seats."

"I was caught off guard. I'm sorry, beautiful." Kiba smirked at me.

"This isn't the time..." I looked at the sound ninja who seemed to hesitate on attacking me. Their faces were covered except for their eyes, I could read them clearly. Four more enemies surrounded us.

"We're just here for the girl, mutt. Step away now." One of them said.
"Get away from my daughter!" My father roared. He was on all fours, his fangs protruding out. He was using his beast mimicry jutsu. "I'll take care of these weaklings who dare attack our village in such a cowardly way!"
"Father..."
"Take my daughter and any of your friends and get out of here, this is out of your hands now." He looked at Kiba, trusting him with me.
"Father, I can help you!" I pleaded. I was mad at him, but I didn't want him to fight alone.
"You're weak from earlier, Aoki. I'll take care of this. You genin should help the villagers escape, the chunin exams are cancelled and it's time for your true test. Go, before I change my mind!"
"Thank you..."
"We need to go back for Hinata." Kiba said and he took me away from my father and the enemies. I looked as my father took down a few ninja, before they tried to use their numbers to Kiba lead me to where he left Akamaru to guard Hinata.

"Is she okay?" I said, finding her pulse. She was breathing and alive.

"There she is!" More sound ninja came toward me. What do they want with me?
"Leave us alone!" I screamed. My automatic defenses kicked in, as my mother calls it. White chakara spread from my body and created a wall around us. "Electric Waves!" I hit the ground and a sea of electricity crashed directly at them and electrocuted them until they passed out. I couldn't sense anyone else around at the moment.
I blew a sigh of relief and hugged Kiba. "I was so worried... we need to get out of here..."
"You especially..." I heard my mothers voice, she had my father around her shoulder.
"Mom... dad!" I yell and let down my force field. My father looked beat up but he was alive.
"He's too old to be fighting young ninja." My mother explained.
"I beat them, didn't I? I can still fight... I just underestimated them a little." My father said, trying to look tough. I have never seen then side by side... looking at how different they were, it was weird thinking about how they ever created me. I released my shield and ran to them.

"That doesn't matter right now, you stubborn old man." My mom said. Maybe she was a little more like us than I thought.

"Are you going to call them?" My dad asked my mother.

She looked hesitant to answer at first. "Yeah, I already did..." I didn't know what they were talking about, but I also knew that it wasn't the time for questions.

"Here, let me help you mom, and we can get out of here." I offered.

"I'm afraid you can't..." A hooded figure appeared between my parents and I. The next second he grabbed me.

"Aoki!" I could hear Kiba's voice, but before I could do anything or say anything I saw Kiba's face disappear in a puff of smoke.

"What do you want with me, traitor?" I woke up to a man with gray hair and glasses standing patiently in the darkness. He sported the Konoha headband across his forehead. I was restrained by a dark barrier. He couldn't hurt me, but he was able to make sure I couldn't leave.

"I don't want anything to do with you, just doing as I am told. I don't really agree with this, I am just more curious of the results." He smiled mischievously. "When your mother started working at the hospital, I was hoping we could test this on her instead. Yet, Lord Orochimaru insisted on you once he saw your skills. I would have never guessed that you were a Traveling Angel, but then you made the mistake of showing your scars. That's what sealed the deal."

Lord Orochimaru... it can't be. My father warned me about this man. Why does he want me? "Is he behind everything? These sound ninja and sand ninja attacking the village is all him?"

"That doesn't matter to you right now... As far as you know, your family and your little mutt lover could be dead by the hands of our little army."

"You underestimate your own village. You're just a coward hiding behind big boss man, aren't you?"

"What was it that you said in the arena...'Stop acting like you know me'?" His smile was big. "I know I can't do anything to you, because of your special gifts... but just wait. Maybe he will shut you up and bring down all the Torazuka pride you have left."

"You're not getting in my way!"
