Chapter 14-Flavors and Falling
Ally's POV
We walk into the yogurt place. It's so colorful! We grab a big bowl and walk over to the yogurt choices. I filled some of the bowl with vanilla.
"Okay, Im done." I smile at Austin.
"Uh? You don't want anything else?" he raises his eyebrow.
"Nope."
"Okay. My turn." he grabs the cup from my hands and fills it with his choices. When he finishes the bowl is filled with every flavor.
"Really?"
"Yup! Now the toppings." he fills the bowl with every topping. I shake my head and smile.
"You know they weigh it to determine the price right?" I point out.
"Oh yeah... Oh well..." He goes to the register to pay for it. We grab two spoons and exit. We sit outside at a bench. If you're wondering, we are NOT on a date. We're just gonna get to know each other more. Im spending the day with him since I have nothing to do. Which is really weird because Im usually really busy. It's just two friends getting to know each other more. Nothing else. He better not pull anything off on me. He knows if he does, this is all off. Man, how many chances have I given this blonde? Ive lost count. Oh well...
I grab a spoonful of my vanilla yogurt. I taste the sweet vanilla. Yummy! Im about to grab some more but Austin mixes all of the flavors together making the color of the frozen yogurt a gray and purple color. Eww... What is he doing!? My vanilla is gone! I should have got a separate bowl.
"Austin! You ruined the yogurt!"
"No I didn't. I do this every time I get yogurt. I call it... FROZEN DELICIOUS YUMMY RAINBOW MAGIC YOGURT!"
"Okay first of all, that was the worst name ever. It wasn't even clever. Second, it isn't even rainbow. It's gray and purple. Finally, Im not gonna eat that anymore." I cross my arms.
"Oh come on! It's so good!" he grabs a spoonful of it and eat it. I make a disgusted face.
"Try some." he grabs another spoonful and holds it to my face. I back away.
"Um, no."
"Come on. Open up. Here comes the train. Choo choo!" he pretends the spoonful of yogurt is a train and holds it closer to my mouth.
"Austin, no." I back away some more.
"Alright, then..." he grins. Oh no. What is he up to now?
"Austin... What are you-"
Yup. I knew it. He put the frozen yogurt down and lunged at me. He tickled my sides and I laughed and moved around like a total idiot. I couldn't stop laughing. My stomach started to hurt because of my laughing too. Suddenly I felt something cold enter my mouth and Austin stopped tickling me. The taste was cold, sweet, and delicious on my tongue.
"How does it taste." he asks.
"Amazing!"
"Told ya so." he smirks.
"Whatever." I grab my spoon and start eating the yogurt. I accidentally dropped my spoon. Opps.
"Ill go get another one." I start to get up but Austin grabs my wrist pulling me back down.
"You can share with me."
"Are you sure? I can just-"
"No, it's okay."
"Oh. Thanks." I reach to grab the spoon but he pulls away.
"Nope. Im feeding you."
"Im not a baby, Austin."
"You look like one." he says.
I gasp and smack his arm. "Well If I look like one then you act like one!" This time Austin gasps.
"Oh no you didn't."
"Oh yes I did." I grab the spoon from his hands.
"Give that back!" he reaches for it but I hide it behind my back.
"Give what back?" I ask innocently.
"Don't make me tickle you again." he warns.
"Okay okay. But can we take turns feeding each other?"
"Sure, whatever... Baby..."
"What was that?"
"Nothing..."
I give the spoon back to him and he feeds me it. We take turns doing it to each other until we finish the yogurt. We decide to walk around the beach. It's so quiet. It's not even dark out. Where is everyone? Hmm... We take off our shoes and walk near the water. Some of the waves make it to our feet. It feels so relaxing and... romantic?
"So... what's you favorite color?" I try to make the silence go away.
"Yellow. Yours?" he asks.
"Red." I say and he chuckles.
"What?" I ask.
"It's just that yellow and red make orange and the sunset is orange."
"So?"
"Look at the sunset." he points. That's when I notice it. The orange sky along with some yellow, red, and purple. It's breathtaking. I smile. Okay, now I know this is romantic. But it isn't supposed to be. He shouldn't do anything that will break the promise. I sigh. I wish I hadn't moved when we were kids. Austin would have still been his goofy self instead of the bad boy and player he was. But at least he's gonna change back. Even though I still don't want us to be together.
"You like it?"
"I love it." I smile at him.
I feel a little kid bump into me and makes me fall. Luckily Austin was in front of me to catch me. But he falls with me. The waves pass by and gets us wet. Great, now I got my shirt wet. I look at Austin. His eyes meet with mine. He starts to lean in. Oh no. He's breaking the promise. When he's only a few millimeters from touching my lips but he stops. Then he backs away from my lips. I felt relieved yet sad. A part of me was happy that he didn't kiss me and didn't break the promise but another part was sad that he didn't. I wanted to feel those soft lips again. Something was saying I should get off him and continue walking but another was screaming at me saying to kiss him. Before I could decide, Austin clears his throat.
"So... Wanna go for a swim?" he asks. I nod, not able to speak.
I get up and help him. He smiles and takes off his shirt. I gasp and stare at his bare chest. I didn't know he had some fine abs. Just look at that six pack! Oh gosh. Im drooling. Stop it Ally! Stop!
"You like what you see?" he smirks.
"You wish." I push him and giggle.
He was lucky he was wearing shorts. He walked in water and relaxed. I stood there watching him like an idiot.
"Are you coming in?" he asks.
"I don't have a bathing suit or bikini."
"So?"
"What do you mean 'so'?"
"Girls wear a bikini, right? What's the difference between a bikini and a bra?"
For once, he does have a point. I sigh and take my shirt off. Im wearing a skirt so I take that off too. I hop in the water. I shiver because it's cold. I look at Austin. He's staring at me. Oh my god. He's checking me out isn't he? I blush.
"Close your mouth. You'll get flies."
"Sorry. Y-You look great."
"Thanks..."
We splash around the water and talk some more. It's already dark out. I kinda like swimming in the dark. It's nice. But I wish the water wasn't that cold. I learned a lot about Austin. Im surprised to hear he hadn't changed so much. He was still goofy, very cocky, and super funny. Although he isn't that smart anymore but he has his moments. Maybe I was wrong about him. Maybe he won't be that player or bad boy anymore.
"Hey, Ally?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you wanna go? It's already dark out."
"Aw, is Austin scared of the dark?" I smirk.
"No, it's just that... Uh?... There could be sharks."
"Yeah, right." I say with sarcasm.
"Im not kidding."
"Sure you aren't." I say again with sarcasm.
"Ally, can we just-" he stops when he notices how close I am.
What am I doing? Why did I get closer? My body isn't listening to me. What the heck is controlling me? My arms wrap around his neck. Everything is screaming at me to stop but there is one little voice that says 'Go for it.' My freaking self is stupid today. I feel Austin's arms around my waist pulling me even closer.
"Austin." I whisper.
"Ally." he whispers back.
We lean in and as our lips are about to meet, Austin screams like a little freaking girl. What. The. Heck.
"Austin? What-"
"SHARK!" he yells and swims as fast as he can to the shore. I follow. I look back at the water and see nothing.
"Austin, there's no shark."
"No, I saw it. It just swam away. We should go now. Come on!" He grabs my hand pulling me.
"What about our clothes?" I ask. He stops and goes back for them. He grabs my hand again and pulls me away again. Darn it! I was about to kiss him! Wait! I. Was. About. To. Kiss. HIM!? Oh my gosh. What is wrong with me!? Why would I-Oh... Guess what I just realized?... I fell in love with Austin Monica Moon again. And now Im gonna be up for a heart break. Thank you so much stupid heart for falling for him once again...
Oh snap! She fell again... Oh well. So Im in summer vacation! YAY! Finally! I cried yesterday. Im gonna miss everyone. But at least I get to update faster. Right? Please Review! Almost to 100!
