Epilogue: Christmas

( 3 years later)

" Wooww! Thank you Ichi!" Nel exclaimed as she opened my Christmas present to her. I got her a whole art kit seeing as she loved drawing. She got up and threw herself into my lap and hugged me tight. I grinned and hugged her back.

" You're welcome."

She gave me one last hug and dashed out of my arms to go play with her new presents.

It was the adults turn to exchange presents now. Grimmjow had gotten new art supplies as well from Nnoitra, a book of sex positions from Shinji (of course), and I had gotten him copies of all the movies we had watched together on our second date. As Shinji and Nnoitra opened there last gifts from us I noticed there was no more presents under the tree. Grimmjow hadn't gotten me a gift. I mean, we did really talk about giving each other presents but I kinda assumed. I bit my lip, kind of disappointed. Our eyes meet and Grimmjow grinned at me. I gave a weak smile back.

" Are you disappointed?" He asked. Shinji and Nnoitra looked over at me and I blushed.

" W-what?"

" Are you disappointed?," Grimmjow asked again, " You think I didn't get you anything?"

" Well… I just… we never talked about…" I could feel myself turning red.

He smiled softly at me. " Of course I got you something." He looked down shyly, reaching into his back pocket. He stood up and sat beside me with his hands still behind him. He sighed.

" Ichigo, I love you."

" I love you too." I said, my heart beating faster.

Grimmjow smiled and took one hand out from behind him to hold one of my hands.

" You are the most person in my life besides Nel.I used to think I would be alone for the rest of my life, but then I met you. You were so beautiful and caring, you still are. You didn't care that I had a kid and stayed with me and you love Nel. I've never found anybody like you and I don't think I ever will. I almost lost you once and I don't plan to ever let you go again." Grimmjow got onto the floor. On one knee.

" Oh." I said softly, my voice catching in my throat. He pulled out a black velvet box from behind him and opened. My eyes widened. It was beautiful and simple with a silver band and small diamonds embedded in it.

" Will you marry me?" Grimmjow asked with a small nervous smile.

I could feel tears rolling down my face as a nodded, my voice cracking.

" Yes…"
