Guys, I'm really sorry about the wait for this one. Honestly, I'm horrible at writing fluff. I was kind of dreading writing this chaper, so just know that I really did try. Sorry if it's not up to par with your expectations. I'd love to say "I've been really busy being productive with my story and this will be a great chapter" But I can't because I'm the product of two of the world's biggest procrastinators (Love you, mom and dad!) and ended up as a even worse procrastinator. So... yup.

That being said, I will try to make these last chapters as good as I can get them. Ugh, I can't believe that it's almost over, only 2 more chapters after this! D'X

Now, on a lighter note, ON WITH THE STORY!

Disclaimer: I don't own Teen Titans, but I do own Cecilia and Duo!

Chapter 14: Understandings

On the drive home, everyone was quiet. Starfire was still sleeping, but more restlessly now. When they arrived back at the Tower, Raven and Beast Boy left to shower and go to bed. Cecilia stayed in the garage and washed Duo off with the hose and put salve on his cuts, then went upstairs to shower herself. Cyborg went straight to his room and went into sleep mode, and Robin carried Starfire up to her room.

Robin pressed the button to open the door with his foot and walked into Starfire's moonlit room. He laid her on the bed and worked off her other boot. Then he pulled the covers up around her. He hesitated, then spoke. "Um, I don't know if you can hear me Star, but I'm going to go and take a shower. Then I'll come back to check on you." He brushed a stray hair out of her face and left, leaving the door cracked.

Cecilia walked into the living room after putting Duo to bed. He was dog-tired, but Cecilia was still wide awake. She was semi-surprised to find Raven, also in her pajamas and a bathrobe, sitting on the couch.

"Hey."

Raven's head didn't turn. "Hey. You can't sleep either?"

"Nope. I can't stop wondering how Slade got the technology to make his own hell hounds."

"Yeah. They kind of freaked me out. I was worried they were going to take me to hell with them. I was afraid my father was back."

"You? Afraid? Wow, better mark the date and time." Cecilia sat on the couch opposite Raven, and pulled her white fuzzy robe around her. They sat in silence for a while, staring out at the bay. "You're her favorite."

Raven snapped out of her trance and looked at Cecilia. "What?"

"You're Cat's favorite Titan. She really looks up to you."

"Really?"

"Yeah. She'd always talk about how amazing a fighter you were, and how she had a horrible father like you."

"Hmmm... I've been meaning to ask you about her. Why does she live alone? She's way young."

Cecilia took a breath. "Before I got my calling, I had this dream one night about this little girl crying and praying for her life to get better. This happens a lot to angels, and then you have to go see the Head Angel Committee and then they'll give you instructions about visiting or giving you permission to preform a 'miracle' or whatever. I told the Head Angels that I wanted a visit, and they agreed and all mom had to do was sign some papers. The next day I went down to Earth. I ended up at the place where she lives now. I remember, I was pretty cocky. I gave her some gum and she just let me into her house." Cecilia chuckled. "Over the years we became good friends. I helped her make her house better and bigger. I was allowed to come and visit for five days every month because she lived alone, and I was kind of her mom. I'd buy her groceries and new clothes, and I'd dress up as an adult and go to parent-teacher conferences for her school and sign her school things. When I got my calling an I had permission to do hero work on the side, she told me about the Titans. She always said she wanted to be like you. Help people."

Raven was deeply touched. "Wow."

"She's like my bestie, little sister, and my daughter all rolled into one." Cecilia smiled.

"She's a good kid."

"Yeah, she is."

After his shower, Robin changed into his pajamas and left to check on Starfire. He knocked on her door. No answer. He cracked it open and slipped inside. She was still sleeping, but she had rolled over and had a faint smile on her face. 'She must be having a good dream' Robin thought. He walked over and sat on the edge of her bed. Robin wasn't sure how long he sat there, but at some point he started stroking her hair.

"Raven's sleep spell must have been more powerful than she planned, since you're still sleeping." Robin said. "And you probably still can't hear me. Maybe that's a good thing. Cecilia might call me a coward for not doing this when you're not fully conscious, but after this I might be less afraid to say it when you're awake."

"I guess... I really liked you from the day we first met. As in really first met. When we actually first met, you were kinda blowing up the town and seemed pretty hostile. But the day after, when you could speak English and told us how sorry you were, I could tell I liked you. For a long time I thought we'd just be really good friends, because we got along and I would explain Earth customs to you and you'd tell me all about the secrets of the universe. Then, over the years, I felt more and more different to you. A lot of the time, you were still acting like we were just friends, and Cyborg once asked me if I liked Raven. I definitely didn't like-like her like I like-liked you, and I was afraid that you didn't want to say anything because you thought I liked Raven. Especially after I had to go save Raven after she became the portal and stuff. But Raven's just my friend, and I'd do anything for my friends. Even Beast Boy, who really gets on my nerves."

"Then we met Cecilia. When she first told me that she was a Relationship Counselor, I was kinda biased and didn't want her on the team because I knew she'd find out eventually that I liked you and get in the way. Then we she did join, she offered to help. She seemed excited, and for a split second her angel-goodness kinda clouded my vision and I agreed to it, but then I was like 'Hey, this might actually work!'. So for, like, the past four months not including the two that I was 'gone' I've been seeing her for relationship counseling. She's a pretty decent counselor, once you get to know how she does things."

"So, I say all this because... I just want you to know that I'm still your best friend, but if like you wanted to be... more that could definitely work for me. I love you, Starfire." In a moment of pure boldness, Robin decided to bend down and kiss her on the cheek. Just after his lips had left her face, he heard her whisper:

"I love you too, Robin."

Robin jerked away suddenly and Starfire's eyes opened. "You- you were awake that whole time?"

"Yes. I am sorry that I decieved you, Robin. I truely was asleep when you brought me to my room. I woke up after you left."

"Oh. Um, well... that's OK. I guess you know now." Robin scratched that back of his head, glad for the darkness of the room so she couldn't see his blush.

Starfire sat up and wrapped her arms around him and squeezed. He hugged her back. It wasn't a bone-crushing hug, like her normal one's. It lasted a long time, too.

When they finally pulled apart, Robin tucked Starfire's hair behind her ear. "Get some rest. We've all had a long day."

Starfire nodded. "I am the tired. I will take one of the showers in the morning?"

"That's probably the best idea. Good night, Star." Robin started for the door.

"Um, Robin?"

"Yeah?"

"Could you...um, do you think you could..." Starfire tapped her fingers together nerviously. "spend the night in here? With me?"

"Sure, Star." Robin walked closed the door all the way closed. He slipped under the covers beside her.

"Good night, Robin." Starfire said. She leaned over and gave him the quickest, lightest kiss on the lips. Then she snuggled up next to him and fell straight asleep. Robin stayed awake though, pondering what had happened. He knew Cecilia would have been proud of him.

The next morning, Robin woke up to the sun streaming through Starfire's purple curtains. At first he was confused about why he was there, but the it all came back to him. Starfire was sitting at her vanity brushing her hair and already dressed.

"Good morning, Robin. Did you have a nice slumber?" She asked.

"Yeah. How's your leg?"

"Wonderful! Friend Cat did a very good job of the healing."

"Good. I'm going to get dressed."

"OK. I will see you at the breaking of the fast." Starfire said.

Robin came into the kitchen to find everyone else up and awake. Cecilia and Beast Boy were plowing their way though bowls of grits in a race. Cyborg was watching the stopwatch in his arm and Raven was reading her book. "Idiots." She muttered.

"Yo, Rob's up!" Cyborg said.

Cecilia managed a half "sup bro" nod as she scraped her bowl clean of grits. "DONE!" She and Beast Boy yelled simotainiously. Cyborg took the bowls and presented them to Duo for inspection. He sniffed and licked each bowl, then nosed Beast Boy.

"NOOOOO!" Cecilia yelled.

"Ha! Take that! Vegans win again!" Beast Boy sang.

"You guys are disgusting." Raven said, eyeing them.

"Eh." Cecilia shrugged it off.

Robin made himself a cup of coffee, and tuned to the others. "So, how's everyone feeling?"

"Sore..." Cecilia groaned, flopping onto the counter.

"Same here." Raven said.

"I don't feel that bad." Beast Boy said.

"Yeah, well, you're BB. You can bounce back pretty quick." Cyborg said. "So, Robin, why up so late?"

"I guess I just really needed the sleep." He said a bit to quickly. Before Raven could call him out, Starfire flew in.

"Good moring, friends!"

"Star!"

"How are you feeling, little lady?" Cyborg gave her a one armed hug.

"I am feeling very well! Friend Cat has done a good job with the healing of my leg."

"Can I look at it?" Raven asked. Starfire pulled off her boot and Raven examined her leg. "Hmmm. There is some minor scarring, but I can heal those pretty quick one the leg is done fully healing. I will agreed, Cat did a wonderful job."

Starfire pulled her boot back on, and walked over to stand next to Robin. She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and everyone went into varying degrees of surprised.

Beast Boy covered his eyes and cringed. "Ew, kissing!"

Raven looked up from her book with wides eyes, and Cyborg's mouth dropped.

Cecilia opened and closed her mouth to speak several times before just giving up and rested her head on her hands and stared at them. Duo walked over and nudged them with his nose.

"So... um..." Cyborg started. "I is it like...official, or something?"

"Yeah, sure." Robin said. "Official."

Cecilia let out a high pitched squeal, then clamped a hand over her mouth. "Sorry! Sorry, sorry. It's just...I... nevermind." Cecilia waved her hand dissmissively and sipped her hot cocoa.

Ugh, sorry about the crappy ending for this. I'm bad at fluff and even worse at writing endings for the fluff. But I tried! I did, I promise! Speaking of my fluff, how did I do? This is like the first true fluff I've written, and it came out pretty well. I got home Friday, and wrote from 4:30 to 6:00, ate dinner, the went back to writing until around 12:00. Then I woke up and finished it. So a lot of hours.

I still only have two votes for my poll, and I need at least one more to break the tie. Please vote! Don't forget to leave a review too! I read them all and they all count! I promise, you guys will like these last two chapters ;)
