As the crowd cheered, a person ran towards me from the back of the room. At first, I was confused because I didn't think there would be someone acting so unprofessional at a ceremony. When I looked closer, however, I caught a glimpse of a face that I thought I would never see here.
"M.K!" My dad called out while running toward me.
"Dad?" I was still in shock from even seeing him this size.
He hugged me, "Oh, M.K, isn't it amazing here?! I mean, look at all the people living in such a small space!"
"Um… Yeah, Dad… Why are you here?" I asked.
He smiled, "The queen gave me the option to come live here if you wanted to stay here! Isn't this exciting?!"
I smiled for the first time in couple days, "Yeah, remind me to thank the queen later."
A tap on the shoulder caught my attention while I was talking. I turned around to see Nod smiling at me. My smile grew as his hands settled on my hips before he kissed me, in front of everyone. As we parted, my dad coughed to remind us where we were. Opps… I guess we forgot about the crowd.
The Young Queen smiled at Nod and tilted her head toward me. I looked at her in confusion before feeling a hand take mine. My eyes traveled down until they met Nod's eyes. He was kneeling in front of me with that same box he had tried to hide from me.
Nod smiled at me, "We've fought to protect Moonhaven, and together we helped save the forest but we also found love in the process. Since then, I've almost lost you and regretted not being able to stop the young queen from sending you away. A few days ago, I talked to your father while you were sleeping. So, today, I am asking this question for the first and last time I plan on saying it in my entire life. M.K," Nod opened the box to reveal a ring, "Will you marry me?"
I hugged him before looking into his eyes, "I thought you'd never ask."
"Is that a yes?" Nod asked. My head shook as his face fell.
"No, but this is." I said as I kissed him deeply.

Yes, I know this chapter is short but it is what you guys have been asking for all along. Sorry for the late update… I've been having a lot of headaches and migraines. The next chapter will be the epilogue, so, now is your last chance to give any advice on where the story should go. Rate and review as always!
